Ordered the calamari which was a little chewy and needed seasoning.we also got garlic bread which was very very good. We got an assortment of things. Pizza, salad, pasta. I got a mini pizza. Dropped into Guiseppe's Pizzaria and Ristorante for a quick lunch while touring Meredith, NH, with our group. The restaurant was well-attended, but we were nonetheless seated promptly. The environment was cozy and comfortable and the service was friendly. For food, we chose the Pollo Florentine Alfredo pizza and a cup of Beef Minestrone Soup. Both were super delicious. The pizza had an abundance of spinach hidden under the mozzarella cheese. That was a bonus, no one had ever done before! We were unable to attend the advertised live music and didn't taste the beer, but it seems like a good place for both. The restaurant was housed in a larger, modern building with interesting shops. Heard about this place so had to try it. Was very busy, suggested wait was 45 minutes to an hour. The restaurant was cute, cozy and fun. I ordered Chicken Marsala, and it came with salad and bread. My meal was tasty and the price was reasonable. My friend had the pizza, not the best pizza around but was fine for a late lunch. The view outside is pretty, it's at the Mills Marketplace which is very cool. Lots of shops there, other eatery places. We are on a girls getaway ~ Upon entering we didn't see the lady at the checkin desk (apparently she was bent down behind something) so we walked in the restaurant- we were told not so politely that if we wanted a seat we needed to go back out and wait at the check in desk. We did so - got a table ~ once we were ready to order we let our waitress know that we needed separate checks - she rolled her eyes and promptly told us that doing that was a pain and couldn't do it. When I got there the restaurant was at least half full and there was no indication they were close to closing. Fifteen minutes later I was home and opened my order. The "salad" consisted of a few scraps of lettuce, one slice of cucumber and a few shavings of carrot. It bore no resemblance to the small Insalata Verde I had ordered many times in the past. I immediately called Giuseppe's to inform them in a timely manner but got a recording saying they were closed. When we were in Meredith for our second night, we went to Giuseppe's Pizzeria & Ristorante. It was steps form our hotel which is what we were looking for. Called and were told the wait was like an hour and a half. We got dressed and went to the restaurant anyway and only waited a few minutes and were seated. Go figure. We ordered drinks and they were very good. Ordered bruschetta as an appetizer. The bruschetta was basically tomatoes and some shredded cheese on the top. I asked if they had any balsamic glaze they could bring me, but they said they didn't have any. No basil, no balsamic. Wasn't very good. I ordered Chicken Marsala and my daughter, Steak Tips. Both our meals were pretty good. Although the sauce in my Marsala was a little watery for my taste, but it tasted good. Chicken was tender, almost too tender. Not sure if they marinade it. I have been going to Giuseppe's for decades and have enjoyed everything about the restaurant until recently. Quality of the food has taken a nose dive. Just had what might be my last meal there after giving them so many chances to get it right. I ordered pasta with pink ala-vodka sauce and got red marinara and when I politely said this is okay, I'll just eat this, but I did order the ala-vodka sauce, I was told oh this is the ala-vodka sauce. My wife and our guests were also very disappointed with their meals and hardly touched them. Not sure what the cause is but the food just isn't what it used to be and I can't see continuing to pay for disappointing meals. Such a shame! read more

The evening did not start well. The hostess was rude and pissed off because our original party of 14 was reduced when a flight delay caused the reservation to change. The hostess began to reprimand our party and gave glaring looks at the guests because they had pushed tables together in anticipation of a larger group and felt that we were hurting business. This was uncalled for and inexcusable. High end dining, this is not. The food here is generally meh. House salads taste like they sat in a cooler but remained somewhat edible. All dishes served were bland and mostly flavorless. Anything sautéd came out dripping in oil. Kitchen staff tried hard but failed to execute. Service other than the hostess was very attentive, friendly and extremely accommodating. The building was old but well kept and live music was appreciated by our group. The restaurant was not crowded at all. This restaurant could do better. If you must go a lowering of expectations is advised. Be prepared for subpar food and sketchy service.
