My wife and I decided to take a drive out to Wolfsboro. We've been there twice before and actually dined at this restaurant during our second visit. It was off-season at the time. Being in season today the entire down town was extremely busy! Sophie was our server. She did a great job! She was friendly, personal, and professional! The Restaurant itself, from what we saw, was well kept and tables cleaned off! We ordered adult beverages, a Manhattan for me and their wow wow wow for my wife. The wow wow wow was a spritzer. I think my wife is finally decided she doesn't care for soda water. That said she did finish your drink, my Manhattan was perfect! We ordered a their housemate chips. In fact, we had two orders! Most of our beverages in one of the bowls of house made chips, we ordered our main course. My wife decided on their macaroni and cheese with grilled chicken while I decided on their chopped Mediterranean salad, adding salmon. I asked that the salmon be blackened and rare if they could do so. When are meals arrived? My salmon was grilled and dry and unfortunately, my wife's chicken was dry as well. Not sure why they couldn't do rare salmon and had to overcook the chicken. That said, my wife's macaroni and cheese actually had some great flavors to it and I truly enjoyed the Asian chop salad. Sophie was the main reason for four stars. If our meats would not have been overcooked, it would've been easily five stars! Better luck next time? read more

We enjoyed an early dinner with friends at Marker 21. We arrived on our friends boat and tied up at the dock located just behind the restaurant. Big dining venue with lots of indoor and outdoor dining options. The views of the lake from the upper decks are great. They don't take reservations and it looks like the kind of place that is always busy. Since we were early, we had no trouble getting an outside table with a nice view. Our server was pleasant and food came from the kitchen quickly. The general consensus around the table was that the food was OK, nothing bad but certainly nothing memorable. Fries on the side were kind of limp and sad, even though I had asked for crispy fries. Cocktails were nice and potent, and we thought prices were reasonable given the touristy location. Maybe come here for some drinks and apps, and find a better venue for entrees. read more

Location, location, location. Sat upstairs overlooking the lake. Great Patriotic town. Good food, service adequate.

The staff here is fantastic and very friendly. I came here hungry and loaded up with friends and kids and they got us seated within 30 minutes and we're all still full and this was yesterday. Great views of the lake, good pub food and beers on tap. How can you go wrong? read more

The location of Marker 21 is very different & appealing. Went up the stairs to find an open dining area with lots of windows facing Lake Winnipesaukee. My husband & I arrived about half an hour past the opening time & there were already 4 tables of customers, 1 of them that had about 8 people. There were (2) bartenders/waitresses on staff. We were there during the less busy/less touristy season so we figured we'd be in & out for a good lunch. I'd say that we must've caught them on an 'off' day. We were greeted right away & our drinks were brought right over. Our meals took about 20 minutes to arrive but when we were finished, no one came by to check on us or bring the check for nearly 30 minutes. That was the most disappointing part... My husband ended up standing at the bar to ask for the bill so that we could head out. Now, about the food. The chicken wings on the "Bites" part of the menu definitely can serve as a meal. I had the Ramen Bowl & it was very good! It filled me up quickly, as it is quite large & loaded with noodles. I took the rest home but it did not taste as good as it did when it was fresh, but that's to be expected. I'd give Marker 21 another chance... I'd love to try more items on their menu & give it a shot during the summer months / sit outside. read more

The waitress makes the difference. We had dinner here last night...initially, its kind of an awkwark setup, in that they left the larger 2nd floor area closed but opened the 3rd floor area...and there IS an elevator available.....So we bellied up at the bar, waiting for an outside table where there is a beautiful view of the Marina and Wolfboro Bay... The Bartender was a pleasant responsive young man, and we notified the waitress of our outdoor dining interest. When a table became available, we went out doors and sat. The food was great. However, the waitress wasn't too attentive, seemed put off by request for mayo for my fries and had a general demeanor that she took care of the regulars at a higher level. Oh well, been there done that...maybe they have other servers on the weekend. read more

Amazing views of lake winnipesaukee. I only came once and it was on lake winnipesaukee day so I'd imagine things were more busy than usual. This place definitely seems like a fun spot at night for sure. Again, it could've been just the one day, but we experienced an interesting concept from the bartender. Open tabs only, which left us/everyone even more confused when the bartender processed to swipe our card and then hand our credit cards back, even though the only option was to keep it open. Instead of closing our tab and maybe getting a drink later in the evening using the same card or by reopening a new tab on someone else's card, he worded it as "if I close this, you're done for the night" so we kept it open and were less inclined to want to get another drink after that bizarre line. He said that same thing to everyone else ordering drinks and everyone was noticeably confused as well too. read more

If you have celiacs disease I do not recommend. We ordered two drinks a high noon for me and a beer for my boyfriend, when we went to order I asked the usual celiac questions and she informed the fryer was cross contacted so I got a salad with the gluten free symbol and informed her of the celiac and to please let the kitchen know for my salad and burger, when we got the food fairly longer than I'd think for fried food and a rare burger but I digress that wasn't the problem. Nothing seemed amiss with my food but the bun looked suspicious and I moved it off the burger and continued just in case, was severely "glutened" and was sick for the following 12 hours. Use caution with allergies or celiac if you eat here, we won't be back but the waitress/bartender was nice enough. read more

Hands down the Best Burger of my life!! 1/2 pound of juicy delicious meat! Bacon jam, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun. It was cooked perfectly (I ordered it rare) so many places cook burgers well done which dries it out and ruins it IMO. Service was excellent! Staff was friendly. I was by myself so I sat at the bar-there was a good, positive energy like the staff was enjoying themselves and wanted to be there! And...don't forget the Spectacular View of Lake Winnipesaukee! Great bar. Went in the winter for a drink after being in the freezing cold. The second floor bar was chill and cozy. Has a great view which would nice in the summer. Service was great. Bartender was inventing new mocktails and gave me one for free as a test dummy! Highly recommend. read more

5 star view. Breathtaking views of Lake Winnipesaukee. Great for late summer/early fall. Service is great staff is polite. Food 3 stars. Had some good apps. Cali burrito was def not a Cali burrito. No spices. Thick cut fries inside. Cheese not melted. Husband had the Hawaiian flatbread. Also lacked in flavor. It tasted like when you have to make dinner on the fly so you decide to make English muffin pizza in the toaster oven. Wouldn't recommend that one and def wasn't a flatbread either. Overall I would return but it could use a few adjustments. read more

Beautiful view from a second story deck that has nice shade - hard to beat! Food was very good and menu had a creative Asian fusion vibe in addition to regular American style entrees. I thought the fish was a little overcooked but it was easy to overlook in such a fun and flavorful dish with great Jamaican jerk seasoning and spicy sauce. My daughter and I decided to try Marker 21 because the view and atmosphere seemed nice. The drinks and food were great! I got the steakhouse grilled cheese and my daughter got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Both of them were delicious and fries were amazing. Unfortunately, the quality of our over all experience, though, was negatively impacted by our server Angie. While my daughter saw her being overly chatty with other tables, Angie barely came by to even ask us how our food was. We were able to ask for drink refills and a side of ranch, but instead of coming back with them in a timely fashion, Angie continued chatting with another table. When she did return, she said she "had to find a dish" for the ranch. That was a lie! She was talking to other customers! My rating would be higher if the service wasn't so subpar. read more

Food is overpriced barf-food. Bartenders are post wall New Hampshire 3's that have obviously never worked at a real bar in a location that has any business. Patrons were all drunk and clearly over served by the inexperienced bartenders. Bar staff is extremely slow and not friendly at all. Of the 4 places in Wolfeboro, this one has the worst staff and food. Avoid. read more

We had been seeing some renovation going on in this downtown building and remembered coming here when it was the Upper Deck. Marker 21 is more upscale and attractive but casual and relaxed. We had a great table on the 2nd floor deck overlooking the water. Can't beat the view of the lake. We were pleased with the beer and cocktails list, quite varied, with selections of both draft and bottled beers and interesting cocktails reasonably priced. The food menu was diverse and although we only tried the flatbread we were impressed. Very fresh tasting with roasted red peppers, olives and ham. Exceptionally good. Renovations continue on the ground floor level but we were not certain if that space will be part of the same restaurant or a different one. All in all a great little addition to Wolfboro. read more

We went to Marker 21 on a weekday afternoon for a late lunch on a beautiful day. We asked and were seated on the deck outside but our table did not have an umbrella. We were warned, but it was the last table outside and available. We were fine with it. Our server was attentive, brought our drinks quickly and took our order. I had fish tacos, they were not great - very dry and no salsa and just a tiny bit of some cream sauce. I asked for a side of salsa, and it took 10 minutes to arrive. At that point my husband had finished his meal, which he enjoyed (a burger, I think) and I started back on my tacos, which were only ok after adding the salsa. And when we received our bill we were charged for the salsa. I didn't complain, because I hadn't asked, but I was wrong to assume that tacos would come with salsa. My side salad was fine. We will try again, the location and atmosphere were fantastic but I will not get fish tacos again. read more

Came back a year later and things have definitely improved. The nachos were still a big hit, although I think they are a smaller portion. The chicken sandwich was pretty good (with a kick!) and the kids enjoyed their meals. Great beer selection as well. This time we sat outside, which obviously has one of the best views in town. The first few times I went here a month or two after opening I got the ramen each time and it was so great. Nice and thick noodles with delicious, tender, juicy pork. Then I come here a few nights ago and the ramen is thin, lacking flavor, and the "Korean pork" is just pulled pork... Just not nearly the same, which is disappointing as I loved that ramen so much. + the drink I got was pretty brutal. Carne asada fries are S tier though.. read more

Strolling through Wolfeboro we happened upon this. Great surprise. We lucked out we're seated right away on the outside deck. The view was amazing and food just as good. Even though it was only appetizers and drinks we could have stayed all day. Very relaxing and waitress was super friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back but I have a feeling as the weather gets warmer the crowds will get bigger and waits maybe longer, but it is very worth it read more

Please make sure you check your credit card statement if you eat here. I was charged almost $150 more than I had been billed and tipped which was almost double the overall bill. I called the restaurant twice and received no return call. Ultimately figured it out with the credit card company. Very unfortunate for a new restaurant in a wonderful location. Great part of the country which we really enjoy. I can't imagine they will stay in business much longer with this type of service. Food is okay, but not worth the underhanded treatment and risk. read more

I've been going to Market 21 since it's opened. I have not once been disappointed. My birthday was a few weeks ago, and unfortunately, my mother-in-law passed away the day before. Now they don't usually take reservations because it is such a busy place, but I think in Lou of the situation they tried very hard to accommodate a birthday dinner for me out on the upper deck for eight people. And for that I'm grateful it certainly made my day. The service, and the food, was excellent. And as far as the atmosphere goes, you can't beat being outside on the upper deck overlooking Wolfeboro Bay. But even if. We had to be inside, they have a great atmosphere as well. Went in the other day and was served by Emily on the top floor. She made a delicious Espresso martini! Normally in Wolfeboro I feel like I'm being overcharged for food to compensate for the "high end feel of Wolfeboro" but as a local I thought the food, location, view and ambiance was amazing and totally worth it! WOW, just wow. We had our rehearsal dinner here in July and the hospitality, attention to detail, food and overall service far exceeded our expectations. Izzy and Josh have turned this place on its head from what it used to be. The redesign of the space and upgrades to the decks bring such needed life to the building. Their take on the menu with influences from Izzy's culinary prowess at El Centenario mixed with traditional New England Summer fare, offer a unique dining experience in the heart of Wolfeboro overlooking the lake. We had our dinner service out on their balcony on the second floor overlooking the water and the views do not disappoint. After dinner, our welcome drinks were also hosted here and their ability to conceptualize the space for both worked great. While their main bar was upstairs, they put a fully stocked temporary bar and bartender downstairs for us the entire night. We had a lot of friends and family in town for the weekend who had never been to Wolfeboro before and everyone told us how amazing Marker 21, the views and food were and how they would be coming back. Marker 21 opened recently in the former Upper Deck and Jo Green's space in Wolfeboro. I decided to head over here for a light dinner. The restaurant & bar is on the third floor, kitchen on second floor, enter through side door and head up the front stairs or elevator in the back. The place was fairly busy on a Friday evening around 5:30pm and it was seat yourself at a table or up at the bar. There's also an outside deck (no seating, yet) overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee, a great view! The food menu here is interesting, which offers Asian fusion items, Southwestern and American items, including ramen soup, shrimp Bahn Mi, ahi poke, and bao buns, plus ribs, Mac & cheese, nachos, burgers, Cubano, tortas, cerviche, heirloom tomato & caprese, carne asada fries, soups, salads, and a kids menu. The prices here seem pretty reasonable. I took a seat up at the bar. The bar offers cocktails and bottled beers. I ordered food only on this visit. I ordered Nachos ($12 plus tax) and the Shrimp Bahn Mi ($12 plus tax) and both were brought out together 10 minutes after ordering. The Nachos were served very hot on a long plate which had hot crispy tortilla chips topped with Barbecue Pulled Pork, Pineapple, Coleslaw, Mexican Cheese Blend Jalapenos/Pickled Red Onions, sooo good! The Shrimp Bahn Mi is a Vietnamese style sandwich which Fred Shrimp, Bibb Lettuce, Cucumber, Carrot, Daikon Radish, Sriracha Aioli with black sesame seeds on a thick baguette roll and served with homemade crunchy potato chips, salted. The food was very tasty and filling and I needed a box for some of the food too. The bartender was attentive with me and the other customers at the bar. I was given refills on the ice water. The check with tax and before tip was $26.04. I would definitely come back again, as this place evolves and the weather begins to get nicer. read more

I just had the best dinner of MY LIFE. This past weekend was one for the books. I went to my new favorite spot in wolfeboro NH and everything about it was top notch. In specific, the service, the atmosphere, the food, and the phenomenal view. Our bartenders Emily, Ed and James killed it. They made us feel like we were regulars. Been coming to wolfeboro for 25 years and this place is what makes it. There have been a ton of restaurants throughout our time here and it is like they took the best parts of each of them and put it into one. You are truly missing out if you don't hit this spot. read more

The burger was very dry, though, and the ramen and Baja bowl were both not very hot when they arrived. Many people in our party had stomach issues after eating here, though. read more
