So, this is the best breakfast around. It's worth the wait. They actually tell you the real wait time, so don't be scared off thinking it's more. There is a lot of people watching to do while you wait too. The hazelnut coffee and a Victoria Upton will surely give you the jolt you need for the day. Tiramisu pancakes should be a staple on every breakfast menu, but you can only get them here at Wolfgangs. I've been here dozens of times and only had one so so experience. Crowded Like Tokyo Subway I think Wolfgang's is great in terms of the food, atmosphere, price and creativity of the menu. However, for me, weekends are too short to spend 45 minutes in line for breakfast unless I am going to order something unique to Wolfgang's. If you have nothing more on your agenda than a ham and cheese omelet, you're wasting your time here if it's crowded. You can get good omelets elsewhere. If you want to maximize see and be seen cool points for trendiness, this place is tops. If you want breakfast to be the only thing you do all day, this place rocks, but the length of the wait is not in proportion to the superiority of the food over other places such as Anna's or Real Food Cafe. read more

If I could, I would give this a 10 out of 10! My daughter warned us we be in line for 30 - 45 minutes becuse the food is so good and really popular! To our surprise, we had no wait or line. She told us probably becuse it was 10am on a Wednesday morning. Thank goodness, because I was hungry! My husband had the LENNY V @ $7.99 which is eggs scrambled with crisp bacon, tomato, and green onions, smothered with cheddar cheese, hash browns and toast. My daughter had the WALTON, also $7.99, eggs over-easy stacked with bacon on a slice of english muffin toast and then topped with our hollandaise and hash browns. I chose after much pondering, the ALOHA HAWAIIAN OMELET again only $7.99 with Ham, onions, pineapple, cheddar, and cream cheese. This omelet was about 3" high and about 9" wide on the plate, so fluffy, so tasty and I so wish I could have eaten only 1/3 of it. The whole wheat breat was thick cut and filled with good seeds and sunflower seeds. My daughter will get to enjoy this for breakfast on another morning. The value for what you got is so amazing! This is the place for breakfast in all of Grand Rapids. I can understand the reason there are lines on the weekend mornings! I can't imagine parking on weekends, because it wasn't very busy, but the side and parking was almost full. read more

Went to Wolfgang's for brunch yesterday for the first time at the recommendation of my girlfriend. She lives in the Eastown area, but we don't go out much because there's a problem with the restaurants in that area putting off the vibe that you're not cool/trendy enough to be there. This is not the case at Wolfgang's. Obviously well known with a loyal crowd of diners, it was busy when we got there, yes, but the wait was not absurd. For the crowd they often get, there is little to no space to wait for your table to be called, so you end up awkwardly standing in the very narrow hallway where the bathrooms are. The atmosphere is very casual and comfortable, and the staff is friendly. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. I ordered "the Bread Lady" which is banana bread french toast with banana and peanut butter. It was delightful, but not what I was expecting - the bread was in thick pieces, so it didn't entirely have a french toast feel to it. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. The a la carte menu is a good thing to look at, since a lot of the orders don't come with eggs or toast on their own. read more

Since moving to GR I've heard this was the spot to get down with some breakfast. First impression the decor was not what I was expecting. Slightly reminded me of a mess hall. However the open atmosphere and helpful staff made all the difference. I started with a Cinnamon roll. And boy was in delicious. Crisp edges and gooey center with a wonderful not to sweet but just enough glaze covering. The breakfast burrito didn't look the way I thought it would, but it tasted soooo good! It was a bit on the salty side however. My friends ordered sweet breakfasts: French toast with strawberries and bananas and strawberry pancakes. Both were superb and all were quite filling. We would have taken the remaining to go but they were so good that we stuffed ourselves. Here's the deal, I think a lot of people would appreciate it if more effort was made to eliminate single use plastics from the dining experience. As a restaurant, it's not much of a stretch to order creamer, butter, and jam in bulk and put it in small containers, jars, etc. I'd like to be able to put creamer in my coffee without creating tiny, unnecessary trash. Also, I know that styrofoam is cheap, but we have a responsibility not to use it. Please consider paper alternatives for your to-go containers. One of my favorite breakfast spots in GR. I have been here about 5 or 6 times now and haven't had one meal I didn't like. The skillets are good, and they have some with some interesting options. Portion sizes are just right, and they also have good coffee which is a must. Most recently I went with the "Marisa Vanden Bosch" which was a skillet with mashed potatoes, bacon, mushroom and Gouda topped with a couple of poached eggs (though you can get them any style). So good. The English muffin toast is money and a nice touch to any dish. This is a popular spot and there is usually a decent wait here so prepare for that. Have had great servers with each visit as well, which makes the experience great despite a wait. Definitely a must visit for any big breakfast person. read more

High quality service and large portions of delectable morning glory! Let me start with the only negative. The negative was the wait... But if you want good food you will have to wait. My wife and I went on Saturday morning August 29th, 2015. When we walked in we were told the wait was a half hour. We were seated about 45 minutes later... Had we been told 45 minutes we may have left and went somewhere else simply because we were hungry. No benches or anything so if you have little ones it would be easier to get there earlier. Lots of people chose to wait outside and if was raining off and on that morning. That should tell you enough about the quality of food and service! Once we were seated the experience was excellent. I ordered steak (medium) and eggs, hashbrows no onions, and English muffin toast, with some sausage patties and coffee. My wife ordered the VanderMeer skillet add jalapeños with Wolfgang specialty brewed coffee. Food was delivered sooner for a party of two than several of the surrounding tables that had parties of 4-5 people. Parking was a bit of a frustration the back lot was completely filled and parking spilled out to the side streets. Regardless there was parking enough but was a little annoying. I generally enjoy eating breakfast out because places like Wolfgangs can make you realize what you are missing... If you have kids and they get up early then get there as soon as possible because I imagine a 30-40 minute wait with my kids would result in lots of tears. read more

It's covered in a sweet & sour tomato sauce that totally clashes with the hollandaise sauce. Also, the hollandaise was too watery and almost flavourless.
