I used to frequent this establishment prior to the new ownership. Went to Suevand Tom for years. Before they moved their service was declining. The polish chopped more and so I left. I returned recently because my other nail salon couldn't get me an appointment. The new staff were nice. They did a great job and the prices are comparable. But after about 8 days, my no chip chipped and the polish started to rise near my cuticles. So I'm not sure if the polish was old or what. But if I need to go back, I'll bring my own polish or look for one with a newer bottle. read more

Do not get your brows waxed here. The lady completely thinned out my brows (I did not ask for that) and left my right eyebrow patchy with singular hairs compared to my left eyebrow that is more cleaned up. They do a great job on nails though just not eyebrows. Extremely upset with my eyebrows. Do NOT get them waxed here. read more

I needed to calm down for a couple days before I wrote this review... My dip manicures usually last so long that the outgrowth would be ridiculous... like 3 weeks or more. I didn't realize that Tom is the only person that does the dips correctly! Too bad that it took me this long to figure that out. The days of me giving Wonder Nails my business are over! I will bring my cheerful self somewhere where the smiles aren't fake, everyone is greeted warmly, and a bad manicure that inconveniences ME doesn't get me blacklisted! My last dip was with a man other than Tom. Seven nails were chipped within 6 days. I was on vacation... and my nails should have been perfect the whole time. I called Wonder Nails to explain that I would come in when I was back home. Boy, did I get a lot of attitude and the cold shoulder. Sue rudely asked, "So what do you want us to do about it? " I was so taken aback by her bold disrespect that I suggested doing them over. I paid the fee they requested to redo my nails and I gave a big tip. Fast forward to Tuesday... I bring my 82 year old mother in for a pedi. I plan on getting a pedi and dip as well. There are seven other patrons in the shop. I'm trying to find a color for my toes that will match the $25 dip powder I just bought. Sue starts yelling about how I can pick a color of theirs and I can't bring in my own powder. All eyes are on me. I came here to relax and get my nails done, not be on a stage as a show for everyone. I decided to not get any services for myself. I sat quietly waiting for my Mom's pedi to be concluded and Sue came at me again with a loud voice for all to hear. She said that last time I was there I had a problem. I agreed. I also stated that I paid the fee they quoted to fix the problem, and I gave a big tip too. She continued putting on a show even though I explained several times that I didn't want to talk about it. Here is what I learned... 1.Sue has a fake smile and a fake friendly demeanor with you until her shop does a poor job with your mani/pedi. 2. If you ever dare to express any dissatisfaction you will be met with a negative attitude, a cold shoulder, excuses that it was your fault, and apparently a huge grudge. 3. If you are willing to give them another try after a complaint, you are a fool. You will be treated rudely and everyone in the shop will be treated to a free show. 4. The are many times that I felt it was my responsibility to make other patrons feel welcome. Over the time I frequented Wonder Nails, I witnessed many people who felt unwelcome or awkward with the way they were being treated. Sue definitely needs a lot of training in customer service. I just had the worst experience ever at this shop. I've received services at Wonder Nails many times, I've talked with the owner Sue and her husband and we've chatted about Sue and her husband visiting their son in CA. I made what I thought was an appt at their shop on Thursday, June 30 at 10 am. I arrived on time and informed the owners that I made the appt. The husband quickly told me I did not call his wife Sue for an appt and it went downhill from there. Sue was rude from the start, she stood at the door to block me from coming any further into the shop. She aggressively told me I was in the way of another customer coming in the door when she is the one who stopped me from entering. all the way into the shop I was insulted, and treated rudely, they were accusatory and disrespectful to me...a 70 year old Black woman. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO WONDER NAiLS in Evergreen Park. I will inform Evergreen Park/Mayor of my experience so that it does not happen to another customer. I just moved to Evergreen Park and I needed a pedicure for the warm weather we've been having. Worst pedicure I've ever had. He rushed through it, didn't file any of the nails (claimed they were too short) and he scrubbed the bottom of my feet for less than 30 seconds each and he didn't use the blue scrub on my legs and feet like every other reputable salon does. I even asked him if he could and he said that they don't do that. What?! I basically paid him 25 bucks just to paint my nails because that was really the only thing he did. This place is very cozy. I loved the massage chairs that are for when you purchase your pedicure. I loved the wonderful customer service that I received. She raved about Wonder Nails so I popped in post Covid19 lock down/ feet and hands in rough shape! The salon is super clean, very professional. Sue did my nails and she was so very nice, the conversation was easy and pleasant and they use STERILE SEALED equipment and disposable plastic liners in the pedicure bath! Thank you !! However on a Friday evening when I decided to go there to get my nails done like I've done in the past they don't close until seven I drove through plenty of traffic down 95th St. arrived at 6:10 PM just to discover they were closed at 6:10 PM which is not the time that was listed on their website or this yelp page. I do not recommend this place. They have two high school girls that are NOT licensed technicians doing manicures and pedicures to get people in an out. I waited for 20 minutes it was now my turn and a "regular" came in and they took her over me. When I questioned the women she said that the lady had an appointment. I came in for a regular mani pedi. I was in the neighborhood so I gave this place a try. They did a barley decent job on the maintenance of my nails, but what really turned me off was the Terrible paint job done on my natural nails. Clearly visible Bubbles, hairs, demarcation lines per layering. It was a horrific experience. The WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE EVER, maybe because I was a first timer they didn't feel the need to treat me with dignity! Or maybe it's because I was the only person of color. Whatever the reason, I was left completely dissatisfied. When brought to Sue's attention she was extremely stand-offish and didn't even look at me...You see, I go get my nails done for pampering and self-care I got none of that. To make matters worst, I was charged more than what I was quoted initially. If I hadn't paid before the paint I would not have paid full price for this job. Smh Never again. Sue is extremely rude absolutely no customer service. This places is more pricey than others but lack the skills. Sue is decent with nail and I mean just "decent " the people she employees lack any knowledge of doing nail or a basic pedicure as if they're trained for a week or two by her. This place is great. It's very clean. They have great hours and the staff is awesome. They are also very efficient. They can get very busy but you never have to wait too long. If they are backed up, they tell you up front so you don't have to waste your time. They are the best @ no chip manicures! read more

I had been going to Nail Spa for quite awhile, but was getting fed up w/bad no-chips and being rushed through. I decided to give this place a shot, and was very pleased. The only reason for 4 stars instead of five is parking on Kedzie (ugh!) and the fact that they close at 7pm. The first time I tried to go there, they were closed already. I've been there two times since, and loved it. It's small, but cozy, clean, and nicely decorated. My no-chip has not chipped w/in a week, like it has from Nail Spa. Nice selection of colors for the no chip! I brought my daughter w/me last time, and they did a nice job w/her, too. I don't feel that the language barrier was that much of an issue. I've had two out of the three(?) employees (both women) and I could communicate w/out a problem. I will keep going back! read more
