    Viet Tacos
    Dan M.

This was part of a large complex that served authentic Vietnamese dishes. The place as a whole was small with a few tables to sit at. There were a lot of take-out orders I saw while dining in. There was a lot to choose from ranging from pho to banh mi to buns. The prices were very reasonable too. The service was extremely friendly, and the food came out in a timely manner. For starters, the rooster wings ($8.50), mango salad with shrimp ($13), and Viet tacos ($12) were ordered. There were six wings to an order and had a chili flavoring. They came out hot and very crispy. The wings were of appropriate size, and the chili was there, but not overpowerful. The chicken was tasty. The salad had spiralized mango and cucumber with about a dozen shrimp. I could not believe how much shrimp was present. The dressing was light but needed and the shrimp chips provided a nice crunch. The Viet tacos consisted of ground pork, shrimp, a coconut rice crepe, bean sprouts, pickled vegetables, and mint garnished with a fried shallot. This also came with a side of salsa. There were two overstuffed tacos. This was solid. It was a little overwhelming on how much filling there was, but it was very flavorful especially when the fresh salsa was added. For an entrée, I had the classic Vietnamese banh mi ($12.50). It came with smoked ham, Vietnamese charcuterie, minced pork, marrow pate, and mayo. It was also topped with pickled carrots, daikon, cilantro, and cucumber. This was solid. There was not as much filling as I thought there would be, especially after having the tacos. I was most impressed by the bread. It was hard, but soft in the middle and was the perfect choice for this type of sandwich. All the flavors seemed fresh, especially the pickled vegetables, which were needed. I also tried the pork pho. It was very tasty while everything being cooked to perfection. I have not had much pho in my life, but this broth was very good and flavorful. Will I go back? I would.

Came here for a bowl of pho for lunch during a work day. I love pho and I'm so glad there's a pho place near Princeton. I was seated promptly and the staff were friendly and attentive. I got their signature pho which has amazing portion size and flavor. I would love to come back and try their other dishes!

This spot was yummy, well decorated, and the perfect addition to the shopping plaza. The staff here is highly attentive, and don't let anything slip by. I had the standard Wonder Pho with an absolutely delicoussss Passionfruit Oolong Tea (a must try). The broth was pretty standard but the protein portions are pretty generous for the price. I would come here again.

I tried Wonder Pho with my son. He tried the crispy chicken Bahn Mi sandwich which she said was delicious. I tried the Wonder Pho which was very flavorful. I ordered a side of french fries which were very crispy. He liked his Boba tea. I tried the Vietnamese hot coffee, but I really wasn't too happy with it. I thought the prices were a little high, but that's what you'll find in Princeton. Service was very quick and attentive.

TLDR: cozy little store with awesome staff and surprising hits Wonder Pho is small but the modern wood finishes and decor give it a cozy feel. The staff are all incredibly friendly (way beyond the norm) and are very knowledgeable about the food. The namesake pho is solid with a perfectly sweet-savory spiced broth and generous toppings. I also tried the Satay broth noodles which featured a wonderfully nutty and savory soup. The real standout is the spring rolls. Standard takeout spring rolls don't hold a candle to these. The little bundles of meat and veggies are wrapped in rice paper and deep fried giving it a shattering lattice exterior and juicy interior. Paired with the condiments the rolls are a delightful sensation that I may end up ordering for takeout. Our meal was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be frequenting Wonder Pho.

I actually just came back from Vietnam and I was pleasantly surprised how good this place was! The pho was delicious and the wings! I enjoyed my short ribs with fish sauce - I asked for that sauce in addition to the salad dressing ;) it enhanced the plate so much more!

    Lemongrass Chicken Pho

This is one of my favorite restaurants! It is not super large inside, but I never wait long for a table or for my takeout anyway. I'm not sure about the authenticity of the food, but I find it all to be delicious. The staff is super on top of it and they make dining super enjoyable. My absolute favorites are the lemongrass chicken pho and coconut lemongrass chicken dinner.

H1. Brisket Banh Mi - these are the pieces I pulled out of my sandwich and made up the majority of the meat that was in there.

I ordered a brisket banh mi and spring rolls. I had some delivery issues and my order wasn't picked up by a driver for over an hour so the time it got to me it was cold and soggy. I don't blame the restaurant for that. The banh mi included inedible pieces of brisket that seemed old. There was so much fat and cartilage and the fat was hardened as if it wasn't freshly cooked. The sandwich shouldn't have been packaged with the veggies inside for delivery reasons because the bread was soggy and inedible by the time it got to me. The brisket was also very bland. The spring rolls were good despite being cold. Next time I might order pho to give another chance.

Came here very soon after they opened (before even their recent soft opening) so they did not have desserts yet. It was very crowded but we got a table late in the evening. Best veggie pho I have ever had, the broth was so flavorful! My partner had the veg bahn mi (with soy protein) and loved it. The space was so cute and welcoming, will definitely be back in these colder months especially for a delicious, warming bowl of pho :)

Went here for the soft launch which is odd because I can't remember being soft at all while dining here. Best pho in the area right now? Perchance it is.

Naturally, there was a new store glitch with the CC machine so I ordered online while in the store. And have ordered on the app since then just to have my sandwich ready or near ready when I get to the store. No issues for me & they have a frequent purchase program when you sign up. I have ordered the Classic Chicken club twice, the American Wagyu Club & most recently the Chicken Cheesesteak. The club sandwiches were quite stuffed & almost hard to eat (not something I'd eat in my car!). I did find the hand pulled turkey on the dry side though. I also stopped getting salt added as the first time it was a bit heavy handed with the bacon on the clubs. The Wagyu was good, may have to try it solo at some point. Also, my first club was the Medium 10" size & I couldn't finish it, all "Small" 8" sandwiches since then. I was disappointed with the Chicken Cheesesteak. It was not as "stuffed" as the cold sandy's. And the Chicken had an odd texture, a bit chewy. But cheesy as you can hopefully see in the pix. For dining in, they do have about 5 tables. So that's an option if desired. Will be going back to try a few of the other options & will update this review as needed. :)

D'Angelo Italian Market is located a few blocks away from the Princeton campus. It is a corner store with some street parking around, along with a parking garage right across the street. I have been told parking is strictly enforced by the city around here, so make sure to pay for street parking when you go. The inside is that of an Italian deli and market, but more. There is seating inside, and also some outdoor tables. There is not table service, but you order at the counter and then can enjoy your meal. We had a part of 7, and were able to push a few tables together inside to eat. They have a ton of deli options, but also have baked goods, breads, and pizza slices that you can buy from the counter. Additionally, there is a large menu of other food items that are made to order. There are also cooler drinks to choose from. The staff were all so friendly. It appears they know their frequent customers, and they greet them as they come in. Though I was a new customer, I felt welcomed and thought all of my questions were answered in a kind manner. We ordered several items, with one being the Eggplant Rollatini for an appetizer. This was so good, as I love eggplant in Italian dishes. It was filled with cheese, but still crispy and delicious even in all the sauce. We ordered more rolls than what is on the menu since we had several people. Additionally, we sampled several of the pizza slices - Margherita Pizza, Parmigiana Pizza, Vodka Sauce Pizza. I enjoyed each of them. The crust is thin and crispy, as you would expect from a place like this. They were all good, but the classic Margherita was probably my favorite. For my sandwich, I got the Turkey Supreme Hero. It was really good and had a ton of meat on it. I love a good turkey sandwich, and this was exactly that. After seeing what the sandwiches on the rolls looked like, I probably would have gotten that instead of the Hero. Nonetheless, it was still very good. Our table got some other items, like the Princeton Tiger Hero, Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries, and a Pepperoni Roll. No one had anything they did not enjoy. Did not get the chance to try either the desserts or any of the all day breakfast items. The next time I visit, I would definitely want to try some of those menu items! Like I said, I very much enjoyed my first visit to D'Angelo's. Everything was delightful, the staff were very friendly, and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the shop. I hope to visit again next time I am in the area. Would highly recommend stopping here!
