House was beautiful, well appointed in the kitchen and plenty of room for lounging. outdoor space was awesome although you have to rent the grill if you need one. the reason for the 3 star review is as follows. 1. Three out of four beds, had a comforter/plush blanket. The master bed only had a very thin coverlet the thickness of almost a sheet. I reached out to Management and asked that they bring the other comforter. I was told that the house was dressed, the way the owner had intended, and that they were not bringing me a blanket. This is not satisfactory, if all the other beds have blankets, the king should have one as well a coverlet or literally sleeping under two sheets is not ideal. When everyone else has blankets, I asked repeatedly that they bring a blanket, they then relented said they were going to, and it never showed up. The woman was quite short with me via text and it was just not necessary. Other than this the house is wonderful and I would stay there again however, blankets for all the beds need to be available and potentially extra ones in the closet would be nice. read more

Despite being in a gated community a tow truck came and took our car that had the car seats, stroller and moms wheelchair. They have no shame. (I also paid Airbnb for the insurance) The next availability wasn't until four months later either, I asked if I could just pay the difference and get a different house under the same company, they refused, said that it had to be the same house I originally booked. I asked them if I could show them medical records or have my lawyer reach out, they said no. So we went because I couldn't risk losing the amount that I paid. I had to arrange getting there because I was not allowed to drive due to the accident. They showed zero remorse and did not care at all. Then once we checked out, my daughter immediately realized she left her Curling Iron. I reached out to the company and they said that they found it and they would mail it to my house. I told them I could come pick it up, but they said they would mail it so I gave them my address. Curling Iron never showed up. I've been back-and-forth with them for the last three months on text message email and phone calls. They've been giving me the runaround and excuses. Mind you I have it in writing that they found my daughter's Curling Iron. The one then described to me the Curling Iron. And it's not your everyday Curling Iron either. I finally got a hold of a manager yesterday, once he didn't find it in the Lost and Found he proceeded to tell me that they told me false information. The Curling Iron found belonged to a different guest. Which I know is baloney. Now I would've did a double check upstairs myself, But I physically couldn't get upstairs due to the accident. Our experience was a nightmare. I pray that no one has to go through what we encountered while staying at a condo rented through Bruno at Wonder Vacations. We have been home a week and still dealing with the neglect that he has impacted on our families. From throwing out our belongings to doctor visits and treatment. We booked directly with Wonder Vacation Homes for a 9-night stay at 9021 Sand Trap Drive, Davenport, FL 33896 and were extremely disappointed. The home was advertised as a 4-bedroom property; it had only 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom was listed as having a king bed, which it did not. These discrepancies directly affected our comfort and sleeping arrangements. During our stay, the pool heater malfunctioned and repeatedly tripped the electrical breaker. For the final four days, the house experienced extended power outages lasting several hours. We were required to reset the breakers ourselves. Because of the electrical issues, we were unable to cook meals and incurred additional unexpected dining expenses. We contacted Wonder Vacation Homes about these issues, but they were unresponsive and offered no compensation beyond the return of our standard security deposit. I do not recommend renting from Wonder Vacation Homes. Pros: The house was clean. Cons: Everything else. Wonder Vacation Homes's website states that there is 24/7 guest care. There is NOT. At this location in Magic Village, the "concierge" service is only until 9 p.m. on weekdays and until 5 p.m. on weekends. This needs to be indicated on the online property posting and differs from what the WVH website states. 1. Two showers had no cold water, only hot. Four people tried to get the cold water to work, but it wouldn't. Not a big deal; contact the "concierge," right? At 1:20 pm, we contacted the "concierge" service and were told a handyman was scheduled and would be coming. One of our party stayed behind for the day to wait for the handyman, as we were uncomfortable with the handyman entering without one of us present. He did not come, and there was no update from the "concierge." I received a response about the handyman's inability to come the next day at 1:30 p.m. after I inquired for an update. 2. TV: The TV in the living room had one channel working. When I requested help, I was advised that it was after 5. No services were available. When I questioned this, the response I received was, "This is not a 24/7 service we provide. This is a small management company and as any human, we need rest." The listing says the TV has streaming services, a DVD player, etc. Everything listed under 'Entertainment' is not on the property. 3. Electric car charging: The listing says an electric car charging area is available, but there isn't. I had to return to the airport and exchange my car at a higher rate, in addition to the time I spent looking for the charging station and the time I spent returning and exchanging the rental car. 4. Pool access: No access to the pool that is listed multiple times in the property posting. There is a $100 surcharge per day to use the pool. Under "Things to do," the only surcharge listed in the property posting is for a "water park." It's the only thing that says there is a surcharge. But we weren't interested in any water park for our stay. It's just a pool listed multiple times in the posting without indicating that it is part of the waterpark. It says "outdoor pool access nearby" on the same list, indicating it is separate from the water park. The "About this property" section of the listing states that the property features a children's pool. (No fee is mentioned, and it is not mentioned that this is in the waterpark.) The FAQ also states that there is an outdoor and children's pool (No fee is mentioned, and it is not mentioned that this is in the waterpark). 5. Communication with the "concierge" is sub-par, at best. Sometimes rude and sarcastic. 6. At one point, a "Luiz D." contacted me to say they were escalating my concerns to management. Then, "Luiz D." disappeared. The only response to the emails seemed to be from the same people who were responding to the "concierge" requests. I'm beyond disappointed with the experience I just had when calling. I booked with wonder vacation homes and for unforeseen circumstances needed to cancel. I was WELL within their cancellation policy (I'm canceling months in advance). First of all after you put the home on hold you will get automated text messages and emails every single hour every single day until you provide a picture of your drivers license and credit card. The fact that they do that, but are so hard to get in touch with is unbelievable. Prior to calling and canceling, I attempted to take other methods such as emailing the email they provided on the website, replying to the email of my reservation, and messaging on WhatsApp. All of those went unanswered, no matter how many follow ups I made. I finally got the chance to call today and someone did pick up right away. I gave the feedback that I didn't get any email responses and the woman I spoke to was so extremely rude. She told me she didn't have any emails from me and I said oh maybe it was me and I had a typo in the email address. I read her the email address and she laughed at me and said no. So I said OK I'll check the website and I cross-referenced it and it's the same exact email that I was emailing. She said OK well you have me now. And I said OK but if you offer email and that's not an option, you should take it off of your website. I feel like I was saying this in a pretty nice way too. She kept interrupting me and said she's helping me now on the phone. And I said OK well you're basically telling me not to book with wonder vacation anymore because you're telling me that these communications are not an option. Wonder Vacation is by far the worst customer service we have ever received at a short-term rental. We called numerous times over the initial 12 hours and did not receive any response to our requests to have the unit cleaned. The unit also had broken locks on the front and back doors. We also tried to report this, but the management would not call us back. We ended up leaving and having to check into another hotel. I have requested a refund from Wonder Vacation, but as you might expect...I have received no response from management. I contacted VRBO and they were extremely helpful, although their attempts to contact management and the owners of the property were not successful either. Furthermore, the listing provided was extremely misleading. The listing advertised numerous property amenities that it said were included, including use of community pool and gym. We arrive to discover that these amenities require an addition $100/day fee. This turned out to be listed in a footnote at the bottom of the listing. During my stay I lost power the first day. I send over 20 emails to have it restored but management failed to take care of it. There was a breaker issue I was unable to use the master bedroom and bathroom during my 4 day stay. It was a hassle since I had 10 guest we had to share bathrooms to shower. I also reported kitchen stools being broken and loose causing hazard issues since I had children there. I was told multiple times someone would come by and repair them. No one never showed up. They have kept the full $400 damage deposit claiming that we scratched the stove despite us only using the pots and pans provided in the property. Also claiming we stained two towels even though photos provided of the towels show no stains at all. Tried to raise this with management and despite chasing multiple times have still not been provided with invoices for the repair costs that they have stated they need to charge us in order to repair/replace the items (claiming the stove will cost $333 for a professional clean). The Minion room had leaks from the ceiling (left side) after the storm on Sat 12/16. We informed Wonder Vacations Home right away. They did not send a handyman until noon on Monday 12/18. By then, we had already moved the bedding and wet comforter off the Queen bed which allowed the mattress to air dry. The handyman reports he can't find the leaks and the mattress is dry. He advised us to send our video proof of the leaks to Wonder Vacations but we had already done that since Sat 12/16. There were no replacement beddings offered or laundry detergents provided to wash the dirty beddings from the leaks. During the two nights before the handyman arrived, we had to sleep on the sofa and floor. We requested to talk to the supervisor or manager and even called the office but was only able to leave voice messages and till this day still no one has called. Their management mishandled this situation and would not offer us any compensation for our paid Queen bed that we were unable to use. For check out, Wonder vacations requested us to start the wash of used white towels and dishes but they do not provide dishwasher tabs or laundry detergents! How idiotic. read more

Traveled from Nov. 22nd-29th 2024 Good Part - The house was great even though the pull out did not have bedding (contact host and they did not know that a pull out bed was there, had to send a picture as proof). The host should know their houses and what is included, host was very responsive quickly, but bedding was not there until next day. Pool gate was hard to open, took us more than half hour or so to figure how to open to get access to the pool, should be much easier, but all in all the house was perfect for our crew and beautiful in details in each room. Every store or whatever you need is close, which is a big plus. Bad Part - The club house where the water park was really far from our gated community. Most of the pools are very cold, no heated pools? When we asked, they said it broke a couple of days earlier, but we were there a whole week and almost everyday it was NOT fixed as you have maintenance workers for 6 or more communities there for Storey Brook? Seems like BS answer to me! Also if you need to come back after a long day away or the mile and half or more drive to the lazy river pool clubhouse, anticipate an extra hour just to get to the security gate to get back to your home. The line just to get to the security gate was ridiculous for the half mile of traffic, suggestion is to us the back gate as a second security gate for those who exits & ENTER THAT HAS ALREADY CHECKED IN. If we get checked in with our phones with our names in a link, the parking pass should be in the house on day one and no one really needs to check in at this point at the gate. All in all we had a very good vacation for Thanksgiving Week, but not sure if we will come back after the traffic just to get back in to the home issues, the cold water park that is included (understand have to pay for individual property pool heating, but come on though) read more

It was 80 degrees the majority of the time we rented except when I cooled off of the evenings and then it would be in the mid 70's. we contacted the property management twice before they said they'd send someone out that NEVER came. In addition to this issue arriving on the unit it had hair left in the floors used, dirty looking soap left in the bathroom. The first night the fridge temp was in the 40's. the second night I believe it started working again. To top it ALL off my family and kids went to the pool an amenity included with our stay, only to be told that the unit we are staying in is on the "NO ACCESS LIST" due to the property owners not paying their HOA fees. the lady at the desk gave me a # to call and that was at 10 am today and there is still no resolution. I called twice and twice they said they would fix the issue. and told my husband to have the lady at the desk call them directly and she did while we were standing there and NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE for her!!! 1. I was rebooked for a different house which was less nice than the one I chose. 2. When my family and I arrived, multiple toilets did not flush and the shower bathtub was clogged with old bath water halfway full. There are green stickers that say "this area was inspected before your arrival" which is a LIE or they would have unclogged the bathrooms (plural). 3. There were bugs and mosquitos in the corner of all the bedrooms. 4. They offered one "dollar store" towel in each room, so not enough for everyone because some rooms had two beds or couples would sleep in the king room. The towels didn't even dry you because they were so thin. 5. And lastly at the end of checkout, I was charged $117 because they said they couldn't get stains out of the towels and that 2 hand towels were missing...there is no proof of what they are claiming. Very disappointed in our property. We had no internet or TV, called on day one. Finally after 3 days, they put in a "maintance" ticket. Well, it was never done. There were little bugs in the kitchen sink & the sink had an aweful smell. We had 3 3/4's roll of toilet paper for 3 bathrooms & 6 people. No wash clothes, because of "sanitary" issues. I stay at hotels almost weekly & I always have a wash cloth. You get 2 garbage bags for a week with 6 people. The house was decent & worked great for us. We selected the home through VRBO and a complaint has been filed with them. Service representatives are very rude. Received forms to sign and proof of identity requests on the way to the property. Just passed the cancellation period suddenly received their message need to cancel my reservation to move me to another location said not valid for short term rental ( we rented for 6 days). They recommended one unit and sent the agreement to ask me sign back. After I complained several times. They sent me a linked to choose by myself. Finally settle with the unit that I liked. They send me the agreement to sign but the unit number was the one they recommended. I addressed this issues to them. They can't fix the issues eventually I didn't sign any agreement. At this points I didn't have confidence with them. It happened just 2 weeks before our trips with 12 people. 2. They only have initial supply for group of 12 all adults 6 days. 1 roll kitchen hand paper. 3 rolls of toilet papers. 1 travel size dish detergent. 2 mini packs dishwasher powder. 3 tide pods for clothing. 3. Require us to wash all towels before check out. We even need to save 1 tide pod to wash their towels without washing our clothes. We were surprised to do so if they already charged the cleaning fees. 4. After we checked out a few days later. I received an email said we damaged their bed frames for additional charges for $45. I read a several reviews saying the similar issues related to the damage charges. When we checked in I already took pictures related to the scratches on the wall and stairs. I already tried my best to inspected as much as possible. We realized some beds had a squeeze sounds. We thought was normal wear and tears that we didn't inspect it. We were 4 people shared a room and didn't jump on the bed. I denied the claims but of course they claimed they recorded before and after in a professional manner. That's no points to argue just paid. The house itself is nice enough. The community hoa pool is fabulous. It is about a 7-8 minute walk. It was clean enough. First time staying at an Airbnb for us. I think I'd prefer to book a house next time with no carpet as it kind of grossed me out. Customer service was good. They have rules that you cannot turn the air past 73 degrees. It was so hot for us, and we are not used to the humidity. We asked for permission to turn it down lower, and we were told we could turn it to 70. Well, the thermostat will not let you go lower than 72 degrees. I ordered a fan for a bedroom via Amazon. They provide you with the absolute cheapest supplies, dish soap, laundry soap (no bleach), toilet paper, etc. But that could be normal for air b&b's? We don't typically stay at them. Pillows sucked as well as the mattress. They do not give you enough supplies for your stay so that is annoying. One roll of toilet paper per bathroom... we were there for 12 days with 4 adults and 3 kids. My biggest complaint is that they only give you ONE towel per person. ONE towel for 12 days is not enough. There is a washer and dryer but we had long park days at Disney and Universal and not much time to do laundry. We tried to wash them when we had time but I really hated it. I should have ordered some towels on Amazon. They are not trying to charge me $72.80 for 4 stained towels and 1 stained hand towel. 3 of the towels they sent pictures of are literally dirt, like wash them with bleach. You didn't give us bleach to wash them. They're white towels. One has purple on it... whatever guess we will take the blame for that one but I am not sure where it came from. The towels are small and thin and were not $70 towels, that is for sure. And the handtowel is a blue towel, possibly in a drawer somewhere, I never saw in my life. Although we booked via Expedia, we had to sign a separate agreement with additional requirements through Wonder. The listing on Expedia stated that payment would be made upon arrival, but we were unexpectedly required to pay a $800 refundable security deposit, a 25% booking deposit after signing the agreement, and the remaining balance days before our stay. It's important for this information to be clearly communicated on the booking site. If you're booking this property it's probably best to go directly through the Wonder website. Despite this, the staff were accommodating, the home was beautiful, and we had a great stay overall. I would recommend anyone visiting this area to book this property. read more

Sobre a Wonder, apesar de disponibilizar contato WhatsApp, eles não respondem. O contato é sempre por e-mail, isso pra quem está de férias e longe do computador, fica difícil acompanhar toda comunicação que é enviada. No dia do checkout recebi uma ligação para avisar sobre o horário de sair da casa as 10h, apesar de no contrato estar previsto apenas às 16h, isso desagradou bastante e ficará marcado para sempre a confusão que fizeram. read more

The house was clean, spacious and very suitable for my large two family group, and the service team was very responsive when I sort assistance. I would encourage a few more pots/pans for in house cooking. Also there were not enough towels. I booked a home through Wonder Vacation Homes. Two months out from the reservation, I attempted to cancel my reservation. Per their guidelines, as long as you cancel within 30 days, you will get a full refund. I have been reaching out to Wonder Vacation Homes for weeks now to cancel my reservation. They will not respond to me. I don't know if they are waiting until we get within 30 days to cancel it. I even reached out to the home owners and they won't respond either. I would never recommend booking a rental through Wonder Vacation Homes. read more

Our stay at Solterra Resort went pretty great to be honest. Check in was a bit weird as the front booth did not have our information on file. The main office was always very busy and parking is very inadequate for the amount of guests that come through that area daily for the pool access. Our home was very clean, we had adequate cooking pans/dishes for our party size. Some quirks about the home were, 1 of the ceiling fans and lights in 1 of the bathrooms did not work and 1 of the pool area lights did not work or had a blown bulb. Aside from that the house was always nice and comfy temperature wise, I would have liked to see at least an extra toilet paper roll per bathroom as 1 simply in insufficient for a weeks stay and possibly extra dishwashing/laundry pods as we were unable to get all the laundry complete prior to check out. read more

I want to end on a positive not so I'll start with the Cons. Cons: *Serious draining issue at the front of the house, when it rained (basically a little every day) the flower bed out front would fill with water and the carpet in that front room right there would get soaked, enough that it would still be wet after putting down a few towels. I emailed the company and my wife called (they didn't answer so she left a voicemail). They never answered my email or returned her call so we dealt with it the entire week. *The rules stated that you had to keep the AC between 72 and 77, which was fine and we chose 72 as we keep the AC at 70 at home. However the Next thermostat would multiple times a day change itself, sometimes as high as 80. We'd notice we were sweating and go check and it was higher and we'd need to lower it again. Like literally 6 or 7 times a day it would turn itself back up. I emailed about that too and that was also ignored. *Inaccurate description...the listing said the downstairs bedroom had a king bed and so did the master bedroom upstairs. This was why we chose this place, it was 2 couples and our kids so we figured each couple got a king bedroom so it wasn't as big a deal not getting the master. Turned out it was just a queen so that added an extra layer of conflict. The upstairs kids room said bunk beds but was actually two twin beds with trundle beds (which ended up being better for us, but would be better if the description was accurate). Pros: *We all really enjoyed the pool, it wasn't as nice as the place we rented 2 years ago and cost too much to heat (they wanted like $50 a day, the place we rented 2 years ago was $20 a day) but had no real issues with it and we really enjoyed it. *Enough room for the whole family. *Close proximity to Walmart, only about 5 minutes away. read more
