This place is okay. $20 for coffee and an avocado toast is ridiculous. I waited in a line longer than a mile, but the coffee came pretty fast. The place seems very sterile though. It is not cozy.

In reflection of our Wisconsin trip (Milwaukee & Madison), Wonderstate stands out as our favorite coffee visit! We came 2x and once had to wait quite a while given it was a busy Saturday with a lot happening downtown, and it was so worth the wait! We loved our lattes! The espresso quality was rich and the drinks not too sweet or too milky, but balanced just right! We tried and loved both the maple and vanilla bean lattes! Staff was friendly, working hard and fast to keep up with the line out the door. The aesthetic is open, bright, and airy. Pastries looked delicious and the merch was so tempting - esp the organic cotton and hemp products! Appreciated the still and sparking water tap available for customers and clean restrooms!

Wonderstate coffee has to be the best coffee shop on the capital. Their sea salt caramel latte is delicious and their food is always top notch. It's usually very busy with students but there is a lot of seating and it's always very bright and sunny and nice to spend time in this space.

OMG Wisconsin was definitely the frozen tundra this week so coffee was a must! This well lit coffee shop is the perfect location to stop in before or after taking a tour of the State Capitol. Enjoyed a breve latte topped with a beautiful foam heart and a plain bagel with blueberry cream cheese.

Amazing coffee and breakfast options! Big glass windows support your productivity with a great view of the Capitol and great ambiance

This was our first time here. Great service, in a bright and welcoming space, and a delicious homemade chai latte.

the place is BEAUTIFUL and bright, staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food is fantastic! eggs were perfectly poached and the toast is crunchy and nutty. might be the best avocado toast in the area. can't bring myself to give it anything below five stars.

A wonderful coffee house right across from the state house in Madison, WI. It's a spacious space with windows all around the coffee house. Loved all the drinks and food we got. We decided to eat in, but somehow someone else took our drinks from the counter so they had to make the drinks again. Aside from that our experience was good.

This coffee was great. It was super packed & the baristas weren't super nice but I didn't care once I sipped this coffee. Maple latte was 10/10

Pros: * Amazing view of the capitol * Delicious house-made chai * Friendly staff * Absolutely bangin' playlist * Yummy blueberry muffin (hint of lemon?) * Lots of seating * Bubbly and still water options at water bottle filling station * Super bright and airy * Smells delicious in here, almost like warm spices Cons: * Difficult to find nearby parking * Seating options aren't very comfortable * Limited outlets for charging devices * Lowkey kinda expensive * The smell of the shop could be overwhelming for people with sensitive noses * Some could perceive the decor as sterile

Super busy today with some sort of farmer's market in the square so there was a long queue of folks getting coffee. I was fine with that, managing to find a seat and figured that I would spend a bit here to charge electronics while enjoying a coffee. And yes, the coffee was decent but I opted not to stick around since there are no power outlets here and my phone was low. On to the next! [Review 20692 overall - 262 in Wisconsin - 1673 of 2023.]

Such a cute spot right on the square. It's very open and bright inside with adequate seating. Their merch is so cute! Menu is simple with quality ingredients. Didn't take long to get through the line to order. My order didn't take long to receive. The bagel was delicious and was very filling! It was nice to have a choice of bagel. The coffee was excellent, I will add this to my coffee spot rotation. Only negative of this place was that you were limited to 2 hours of wifi. Plenty of time for me but I could see this being a deterrent for students, etc.

It's a really cute spot on the capitol. They have a limited menu but there's seasonal options. Even though it is right on the square the prices are a little crazy for Madison in my opinion. Very small lattes for 6-7 dollars. It's also very busy (it's not a bad thing but be prepared to wait!) the cafe is really cute though and would be a great place to study.

We make a point to go 10 miles out of our when traveling through Madison to enjoy the avocado toast and speciality coffees.

It comes with very cute star-shaped mango jelly and heart-shaped strawberry jelly. Reasonable prices, and the baristas are very quick at making drinks! Lots of students come here to study or hang out. It was a little crowded, but not too noisy of a spot. Very casual café spot and a great option to hang out with friends.

The staff was friendly and welcomed me as soon as I walked through the door. The glass case containing artistic sweets was a welcome sight. I opted for strawberry and black forest cherry mouse cakes along with a few egg tarts. The goods were then packed in a giftable box. I didn't have a chance to try their milk teas or matcha drinks, but they certainly look tasty. Prices for their gorgeous sweets are steep, so be prepared. Le C's teats would make a wonderful, unique gift. Most importantly, mom's sweet tooth was "extremely satisfied" with the goods :)
