My review is no different than other victims. My circuit breaker was getting hot and was keep tripping. So I called my insurance company(H210) and they assigned the work to this cheater company Woo Brothers. A guy came from this company, he maintained 6 feet distance from circuit board, visually inspected and told me that I should not use Microwave when I am using other lights in home. In short he was thinking he is more expert than Elliot homes who designed and built the home. loll. In report he mentioned that switch is all good(from his visual inspection from 6 feet away from circuit board), home owner want to replace it. He just stole as usual $75 from my pocket. So I called another company, they came and checked circuit breaker and found that due to aging the metal contacts were widen. Due to that it was not holding ON position. He replaced the breaker switch and everything is back to normal. When I asked the electrician I called, that Woo brother suggested to not use Lights when I am using Microwave is that right? He was literally LOL.... @Woo Brothers, if you don't know electric work please learn it from online course or some place but don't cheat and stole others money. I know that insurance companies need low quality companies like you to save their money but please be little bit human. read more

I have First American Home Warranty coverage. I contacted them re: three non-working outlets in a bedroom. They assigned the job to Woo Brothers. When their electrician (Steve) came out, I told him that I had been told by another electrician that had been out for a different job, that most likely the neutral wire had become loose or disconnected at another outlet along the circut. Woo Brothers took about 15 minutes to assess the problem and reported to me that they would need to run a new neutral line and would need to cut some holes in the walls to do it. He further informed me that my breaker box was beyond capacity, but said he could still replace the neutral line. In his job estimate report, he included info about the breaker box and that was all First American read. They immediately refused to approve the work. I called Joseph, owner of AVS Project Solutions, who had done my lighting project, if he would take a look at the outlets. He and his son came out, and as he suspected, the neutral had lost connection in another outlet on the same circut. The outlet involved was in the kitchen. The Woo Brothers electrician didn't even consider that as a possible source of the problem. Joseph and his son spent about 40 minutes on the job and restored power to both outlets in the bedroom and a third outdoor outlet that had been wired into the same circut. I will never use Woo Brothers again, and if I stay with First American, and they assign any future service requests I may have to Woo Brothers, I will object and ask for another company. read more

Two electricians dispatched to my residence by home warranty (I moved in 2-weeks prior) company. All my outlets in family room and master bedroom not working. After a half-hour or so they stated a new line would need to be run from the electric box/panel to what they deemed was a defective outlet. This should fix problem. Said they would get back to me after home-warranty company approved. A week passes after numerous unanswered calls, and a few answered calls that I never receive a follow-up on. Fed up by now, I finally call First American Home Warranty (also to be avoided!). They inform me that according to Woo Brothers Electric this was a pre-existing problem. Huh, what?? I had a home-inspection done, and outlets were working during first week I was there...WTF?? Finally I call a previous electrician I had worked with in past. He comes out on a Sunday, waves a gadget around and says "Oh, you have a loose connection in dining room which is beginning of circuit (not the outlet that Woo Brothers stated). Took 2 weeks for an appointment. After incorrectly installing one gable fan, the second fan failed after 60 days. They were unwilling to fix their work and instead pointed to a wiring problem. After fixing the wiring myself, the second fan was determined to be unresponsive. Not at all helpful. read more

I had an issue with one circuit in my house. When I turned on a light on this circuit, the lights would flicker, or remain dim. If the light finally came on, and I tried to turn on another on the same circuit, the flickering would start up again or the whole thing would go out. Sometimes it worked fine, sometimes it would go out for days, then just start working again. It wasn't tripping the breaker, though, and I could hear crackling at the breaker box when I tried to use anything on this circuit. So scary! I finally just flipped the breaker off and resolved to use lamps in my kitchen for lighting because I didn't want to risk a fire. I contacted American Home Warranty and they set me up with Woo Brothers. Of course the day the electrician came out, I flipped the breaker back on and the lights were functioning, so he goes to look at the panel. He pulled out a couple of the breakers, but didn't even look at the one for the problematic circuit. I even told him, "I can still see the kitchen light is on, so the ones you are looking at aren't the problem." He said it didn't matter. My panel was just overloaded and needed full replacement. I asked what that would cost, and he said, "Eh, probably around $3,800." Now, I'm not an electrician by any means. However, when the whole panel is overloaded, I would expect to see issues on any circuits being used when too much power is being pulled. I asked why the breaker wasn't tripping, he said, "Oh it's just this old panel. They do that." I asked why it was just the one circuit, even when nothing else was on. How can a panel be overloaded with just one light on? He said clearly there were other things running I wasn't noticing and again, it's just this old panel. It didn't make any sense to me. I tried to explain that it is ONLY ever this circuit. Everything else works fine. I refinished my floors using an industrial drum sander and had no issue, but using the kitchen light is overloading the panel? What?? He didn't check the wiring on the circuit, he didn't look at the breaker, he didn't attempt to do any further investigation. Just said I had to upgrade the panel, no other option. So, I ordered a replacement breaker from Amazon. Literally ran home on my lunch break from work when I got the notification it was delivered and swapped it out. Took 5 minutes. Cost me $22. Lo and behold, the old breaker was cracked and once replaced, everything works perfectly. If I could figure out that it was the breaker, he should have. I do have a very outdated panel, it's an old Zinsco. It's only 100 amp. I know that it needs replaced, wouldn't hurt to upgrade to 200 amp. The issue I have is that the problem was NOT the panel being overloaded. It was a bad breaker. If Woo Brothers wanted to be honest, they could have said currently the issue is a bad breaker, but this will be a recurring issue until the panel is replaced (it's old. It will wear out the breakers). This company came out and did nothing to resolve the issue. Left me with non-working lights/outlets, a potential fire hazard, and quoted me $3,800 to fix a $22 problem. They could have swapped the breaker and explained the importance of replacing the panel, and if they had done so, I probably would have been inclined to hire them for future work. However, I fixed the current issue myself and found a more honest company to replace the panel for $2,300... One of two things happened: A) The guy did realize it was probably a bad breaker or some other issue with that particular circuit, and opted not to fix it in order to sell me on a bigger ticket repair B) The guy wasn't able to diagnose a simple electrical issue and thus should not be trusted to do repairs Either way, no thank you! read more

My home warranty company " Old republic home protection" sent these guys to investigate the light/fan in my bedroom. They sent 3 different technicians every time given different diagnosis of the problem but never fixed it. In fact not only they didn't fix it, they broke the gang box where the wiring was to make it look like it is the problem was with the wiring of the house !! My property inspector provided the original picture of the gang box from the time of the inspection as proof that their claim is false and in his opinion someone actually broke the box. They told me straight to my face " you don't have anyway to prove we did it, good luck" . They are dishonest and unprofessional . stay away. Do not let them in your house. read more

Save your time and money, and find a different electrician! My entire home circuit panel suddenly went out and was shut off by our local utility company as it was considered a fire hazard in its current state. Woo Brothers Electric was assigned as the contractor through my home warranty company; 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. Woo Brothers came out as soon as they could to provide a diagnostic, which I paid them a $75 service fee for. As expected, work could not be performed until it was approved and paid for by 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. As this was an urgent matter and I was already displaced from my home for three days during the hottest week of the year in Sacramento, I called Woo Brothers multiple times over the course of a week to get a status update. On numerous occasions, I received conflicting information from the Woo Brothers team, who at one point stated I needed to pay over $600 in remaining costs and refused to provide a specific price breakdown of what those costs entailed. However, 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty stated I only needed to pay close to $18. I refused to pay the remaining balance until I received a cost breakdown. At that time, Woo Brothers Electricians stated that they were no longer interested in completing the job and would not call back 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty to figure out the discrepancies because it was a waste of their time. As a result, I have now been displaced from my home for close to eight days and need to find a new contractor to start the entire process over again. Overall, I am highly displeased with the run-around customer service I received from Woo Brothers Electricians and do not plan on recommending or working with them in the future. read more

Rendon just got my air up and running after a miserable experience with REO (who was sent out by my warrantly company i will not be renewing with) when the hallway bathroom and half the laundry room's outlets stopped working. So OId Republic Warranty sent out this company who came by yesterday and fixed the issue ONLY TO DO SOMETHING THAT MADE ALL THE AC HVAC UNITS STOP WORKING :( . When I called this morning to ask them to come back out and check it the guy said he didn't do anything to my AC and will not come back out without another service request which is just another request I would have to pay for. My roommate specifically saw the numbers on our AC Units flicker while he was fixing the bathroom power problem. Oh man, owning a home has been so bittersweet. I will not be renewing with my warranty company and making sure to triple check the companies that come out to my home. My Home warranty company (First American Home Warranty) had this contractor to come to my rental property for a service call. They assigned an electrician to check a 4-way switch failure. It was found that the wiring was not correct and needed to be fixed in the stairway. Unfortunately it's not covered by the home warranty. So my property manager requested them to provide a quote for the fix. Instead of fixing the wiring, the technician went to the property and installed some switches in the kitchen (which had nothing to do with the 4-way switch) as the tenant requested without telling the property manager. And they charged us for $525. When disputing the payment, Woo Brothers said they can take out switched but will not fix the damage. Huh. Be ware of this company! read more

(Found this review in my drafts and realized I never published it. This company came to my home in early 2018). I had this company come out with the home warranty a year ago. The initial appointment, the owner showed up and diagnosed a problem with my attic fan. They then called me to schedule a follow up appointment at 7:30am on a Tuesday. The technicians who showed up were different people and were over an hour and a half late. Of course, that had to be on a day when my work calendar was clear in the morning but something at work had come up. So now I have electricians who are almost two hours late and work needing my attention. Needless to say, I had to take vacation time despite the fact that I would not have if the electricians had come on time. When they did come, they brought the wrong fan and I had to reschedule again. The third time they came, the electricians went up and claimed they fixed the fan but that it was so new that it would be very quiet and you wouldn't be able to hear it. **** Fast Forward to September 2018: a different electrician came to install recessed lighting and a ceiling fan in my living room and had to go into my attic. While up there I asked him to let me know if the fan is running. He said there was a fan up there but that it wasn't wired and that whoever put it in, just installed the fan blade and let it be. Basically, I don't have an attic fan! This electrician offered to fix it for a fee but I declined. At that point, my home warranty with Fidelity had already run out so I essentially had no follow up and after two visits to my home, I don't trust this company with my attic fan. Extremely disappointed in this company. I have an outlet out and they came out to diagnose the issue (through 2-10 warranty) several weeks ago. The guy mentioned that he thought it was a neutral load but never put in the diagnosis and then has not returned my or the warranty company calls. I also had another outlet that was out and I asked him to test it but he refused and even after I offered to pay him extra said he had too much to do that day. Fyi, I since had another contractor come out and it took about a minute or two to test whether this outlet had power. read more

My home warranty company Fidelity National dispatched Woo brothers to me. He spent 2 hours seeing what was wrong, and in the end said "he had to come out with another guy and needed more time". What upset me the most is he wrote in his notes that the wire could have been damaged by rodents (therefore my home warranty wouldn't cover it). In the end, it had nothing to do with rodents,. There was another switcher board in the garage that was installed. I had to pay for another electrician to come out. He also spent 2 hours, had a 2nd person, but finally fixed the problem. This is the 3rd time my Fidelity home warranty and their vendors didn't pull through. I had to spend even more money to get it repaired by another company. read more

Fantastic company! I had a problem with my whole house fan which was under a home warranty. I was contacted by another company who could not deliver in 4 months. I asked for a second company and Woo Brothers Electric came out. They diagnosed the problem and came up with a great solution. They installed a new fan without taking out any sheet rock (which was recommended by another company. We just had new carpet installed and my wife was concerned about it being damaged. The technicians that were sent out were very friendly and concerned. They put drop clothes down and vacuumed afterwards. They completed the job very quickly and the fan works great. Avoid at all cost just con man if they are dispatched by First American Home Warranty. Came out to fix central vacuum system spent about five minutes and condemned Central Vac said we would be contacted in 24 to 48 hours for scheduling replacement after 72 hours nothing so I checked FAHW website and it said completed. I contacted FAHW and they said contractor found clogged pipes they were told he never inspected and sent them the write up that didn't show anything for clogged pipes they still will not do anything. Woo Brothers was sent by my warranty company. Our lights were flickering and electricity would go out in different areas of the house sporadically. 1st visit, wires were tightened, left without fixing the issue. 2nd visit, left without fixing the issue, lost all power. 3rd visit installed a new breaker but removed the metal clips so no power was coming to the house, left without fixing the issue. We were without power for almost 2 weeks. We lost 2 freezers full of food, 5 vials of medicine, had no heat (40°at night), no stove, no internet, etc. because Woo said that they couldn't find the parts that they needed. We had to pay for 2 permits and on top of that, Woo wanted $4200 to make the necessary repairs. We called another electrician who (came that day) replaced the breaker and sanded down one of the parts. The power was restored in less than an hour for $400 read more

Woo Brothers came out to try and fix an electrical outlet that wasn't working on the outside of our house. We originally had Turner Electric who our home warranty company had come to fix the issue. Not only could they not fix the issue, but they wouldn't return any of our phone calls even though we were trying to schedule an appointment to pay out of pocket to get an outlet installed. The home warranty sent Woo Electric to give it a shot since Turner wouldn't return our calls. Woo Brothers was at our house for a total of about 15 minutes and had the outlet fixed! I filed a home warranty claim with Fidelity and was assigned to this company. This company is a contractor of Fidelity National Home Warranty. After I've schedule an appointment with them on Tuesday May 31, 2022 they confirm a tech will arrive between 12-4PM. I was very specific in what I've needed to be repair/replace and they assured me that the tech should have my parts. Once the tech showed up he stated that he does not have the breaker after 5-10 minutes and I would have to coordinate with the office to reschedule. A few days goes by and no reply from them. I've contacted them between 5-10 times and get a voicemail that their voicemail system is not working correctly and they are doing everything in their power to rectify it so texting is an option and they'll return my call as soon as possible. Still no reply from them, I finally got a hold of a live person on Friday 6/3/22 and she stated that the part will be arriving on Monday 6/6/22 and the tech will be at my house to replace it between 8am-12pm on Tuesday 6/7/22. Around 11am on Tuesday 6/7/22 I've tried calling the office and get the same voicemail that their VM system is still down so I've contacted the tech and he stated that he does not have me on schedule at all. After all this I've contacted Fidelity Home Warranty and they stated that my case is close because they would not replace/repair my breaker because it's deemed abused by me and they will not refund my deductible of $75 because they tech showed up and my repair was not part of the terms. What good is a home warranty if they can't replace a breaker? Fidelity National Home Warranty and their contractors are crooks that will steal your deductible even though no repair was done however they are willing to replace my panel for $4200 because the tech say it's due for an upgrade. This is my second bad experiences with FNHW within six months and it's the same results, shady contractor closing the claim even when nothing is repair/replace. This company use to be very good! I used them through First American home Warranty several times and they would get a fast response and dial in any home electrical pretty quickly and efficiently. But I don't know what happened? ( Very Turner Electric like). In April this year. I had a Hunter Casablanca 52" ceiling fan fail. Woo Brothers originally replaced my Casablanca 52" ceil fan with the new Hunter/Casablanca in February 2016 after it failed with a like match. In April they decided that this ceiling fan failed and I got approved for a new replacement. On May 1st the technician showed up with the new install and came in with a 24" ceiling drop white fan that he stated he got the wrong fan. He left and forgot his work order and came back and said I did not need to sign till he gets the right fan and complete the job. I called in May, June, July, August, September and now in October with no replacement at all! I have been dealing with First American too with lots of delays. Woo Brothers billed First American as job completed but that's not the case. Very shady situation here. I do not recommend Woo Brothers Electric. read more

We just moved to a new house and Woo Bros. was sent out by our home warranty company because when we plugged are brand new fridge into the plug it kept tripping the breaker and turning out all the lights in the kitchen and living room. The fridge was not on it's own breaker. Eddie came out for the service call and from the moment he came in seemed like he was in a race to leave. He told us the fridge should be on it's own breaker but said he wasn't authorized to fix the problem, that we could fix it ourselves or hire him to do it. After we explained that's why we called our home warranty, he said he would turn in his paperwork to get authorization that evening and we would get a call the next day to set up the appt. I did not receive a call so I called and left a message. Again, I did not receive a call back. I called multiple times, it took a week to finally get an answer. They wanted to charge us $900, not covered by our home warranty, to fix the problem. We called another licensed electrician for a second opinion. That electrician fixed the problem in less than 15 minutes and only charged us for the service call $165. In our case, dealing with Woo Bros. was not a good experience and a waste of time and money. read more

After not hearing about my work order # 616467178, I tried contacting the office to get an idea of an anticipated chance to schedule an appointment. The office transferred my call to a mail box where an automated message informed me that it was full. At that point my call was cancelled. It seems to me that you have been closed for some time. I was surprised that your company in Sacramento or Roseville was to handle my request when we have so many good electricians here in El Dorado county. It must be that you are cost effective as I am not sure it is because of your outstanding customer service. If you ever get around to calling, I would like to have some response in 2021 or early 2022. I want to preface this by saying the actual electricians have been nothing short of wonderful. My problem lies with the secretary. We went through our warranty company and informed them that we needed an entire can light replaced. We had it put in the work order. The electrician came out and diagnosed the problem but didn't have a can light on him since the secretary never informed him that's what he would need. I called the company to schedule them to come out again and replace the light fixture. This time the secretary was extremely rude and insisted that a light fixture wasn't included in my coverage but after I kept saying it was she decided to check on it. (Spoiler alert: it is in fact covered) Later that week I received an email from my warranty company that the work was completed. I called the warranty company to ask what that meant and the secretary did in fact send them a completed work order. So they had her put me on the schedule to complete the work that was never completed. Now, the electrician comes back out and tells me that he is going to run a diagnostic which has already been done. I inform him that they already did that and they are supposed to be replacing the light fixture. So now what would have been a 15 minute appointment is taking upwards of an hour because they need to go to Lowe's since their secretary failed to inform them as to why they were coming. The only way I could in good conscious recommend this company to family and friends is if they replaced their secretary. read more

They never returned my call nor did they email me back so unfortunately I have to resort to YELP and all other social media sites to get the word out about these guys. Sure, they were nice when they were hired for the job originally but in the end their follow through is terrible. All I want is my money back because the job they did was a complete fire hazard according to 2 other licensed electricians.
