Still has a 24/7 restaurant 365 still one of the few places where you can smoke inside and do what you want and get served some of the waitresses grab a puff during a lull. I occasionally come in here and have a meal I forgot I had to really reviewed last time so it's got a full me menu they got their own smoked products too which are pretty good. There's a salad bar at night and a buffet on the weekends I think when there's enough staff for it. I came in wanted just to standard breakfast so I ordered some french toast and a side of bacon coffee. French toast was nicely done they bring out the powdered sugar so you can dust it yourself they have the sugar-free syrup and the bacon was really good nice thick three slices for three bucks not that. Lot of times when I'm coming through here I'm usually passing by because it's usually in the middle of my travels I'm usually not really stopping in here but this morning I decided I wanted to sit down breakfast. Keep up the good work still doing a good job

Chicken is their name, but the menu covers everything you would expect in a small-town diner. Breakfast was our meal of choice today. They lay a plate of breakfast goodness on the table here! My usual again today, check the pictures. Everything cooked perfectly as ordered. The honorable mention awards on the plate go to the bacon and the gravy. The bacon cooked crisp, the way I like it. Not for everyone's taste; it works for me. This was crisp bacon, country smoke house thick cut. Sturdy and crisp enough that I could use it as a knife cut the eggs up. Or maybe even use it to butter toast. Yeah, I liked it. The gravy appears to be real, homemade. If it was a mix, then the cook gave it some extra love with sausage drippings. It was good. A big clean restaurant, Excellent friendly service. Easy access. Today's Café table top advertisement winner is Larry's Body Works. Not an especially creative or catchy ad, but I liked the picture of Larry's Rat Rod!

There were lots of servers, so we were well taken care of, but I felt rushed through the meal. We had not been in before, so it took some time to decide what we wanted. The menu is a little hard to follow with some things listed on a menu board on the wall (that no one pointed out to us). The waitress came back like every two minutes asking if we were ready, so we just felt a little rushed through that process. The food itself was hit and miss. My son did not enjoy the chicken fried steak sandwich, but my other son loved his Monterey chicken. Some of our chicken strips were good and some were really tough. The fried chicken and grilled chicken sandwich were both pretty good. Overall, it was ok, but not our best meal of the trip.

My wife stuck with the burger. Did you see that Case knife display when you walked in? I did. I spotted a knife that I had had many many years ago. I think it is going home with me. It did. Comfortable and most importantly cool inside. Decorated to look like a bar and grill. The friendly owner working today took our drink orders and asked if we wanted to try their pork rinds? Hah, is a pigs ass pork? A big basket shows up, more than we could ever eat, fresh pork rinds. Hot from the fryer, sprinkled with a little Cajun seasoning. Gratis. Now that is unusual for a starter. Works well with cold beer. The bar is well stocked. Their Chicken is one of the house specialties. Marinated so it comes to the table juicy and tender whether prepared fried or grilled. Spicy tender strips with okra were perfect. My wife's burger was excellent along with the crispy fries. Check the pictures. Took the leftover rinds home to my neighbor Mohammed. He loved them. Said that he is now questioning some of his life choices. Great friendly service in a comfortable little road side bar and grill. The Oak Bar and Grill is a must stop on the Mother Road, US Route 66.

It has a covered gazebo with a sectional sofa, dinning table and two more chairs to lounge on. They also have a large gas grill in excellent condition. It was so nice because we did not have to take anything out, which made departure day a lot smoother. At your request they will bring you margaritas after 5:00 PM. The resort sits in a lake which makes it convenient for those who have boats. We were going to stay two nights, but ended up staying three nights. They do have two restaurants and bar you can enjoy if you don't feel like cooking. Hours vary, but the packet you receive has all the information you need. It is gated which makes it feel safe. Will definitely be back.

We got like a half loaf of Parmesan garlic sourdough! Fresh baked! I absolutely loved my shrimp & grits too. So flavorful. Great portions. It's a bit pricier, especially for Grove, but quality makes it worth it. I will definitely be back to try more entrees. Delicious. And the RV park is beautiful too.
