What a great little gem to find on the highway in Adair. Super easy access. Large private parking lot that easily accommodates trailers. Staff is friendly and service was fast. The menu is a mix of breakfast and Mexican. If you need a nice HOT cup of coffee this is the place. Food is served piping hot on plates that are kept warm (be careful). We had a delicious ham and cheese omelette with sides of crispy hash browns and the best biscuits and gravy I've had in a long time. We even ordered a second biscuit later because they are so good. Salsa was just perfect, too. Lots of large booths (for 6) and tables to accommodate a crowd. Definitely worth a stop when you are on the highway or in town.

The best Chicken Fried Chicken between Colbert and Pitcher, Oklahoma border to border on US 69. I was expecting a burger, fries, breakfast all day, chicken fried steak, daily meatloaf special kind of a place. A roadside, small town country diner. Surprise. It has all that, but Mexican food dominates the menu. A big selection of Mexican food. I see all the Mexican food on the menu, however today my brain and my taste buds were tuned to diner food. In a small section of the menu there is a heading "Country Dinners." Look there. That's where the fried gold is located, Chicken Fried Chicken." That's for me with a salad and fried okra. This is Chicken Fried Chicken done right. A big chicken breast pounded out thin, to the size of a pie pan. Coated with a light batter of cracker crumbs and fried to the perfect golden glow. Moist, tender, thin, flavorful chicken. Cream gravy on the side. This is the way I like it! Very few restaurants can make chicken fried chicken this good. On the side, a big heaping bowl of excellent crunchy fried okra and a salad. Fresh crisp lettuce, a little diced tomato, cheese, croutons and a couple of purple onion loops. Add Thousand Island and that is the way I like a salad. It doesn't feel or look like a Mexican restaurant, but it is. My wife ordered the Bandera Enchilada plate: one beef with chili sauce, one cheese with queso and one chicken with green sauce. All good. She preferred the green sauce. Very mildly seasoned food. We should have ordered some salsa picante to add a little more spice. The service is excellent: welcoming, friendly attentive. Delicious big filling plates of food. The restaurant is clean and comfortable with the feel of a small-town diner. A great dining experience and very recommended.

The food and service was amazing! It was not a long wait and the servings were huge. It was delicious! We were on the way back from setting up at Born and Raised festival! Will have to try their breakfast next time!

When you get there you order at the counter and then find you a table. There were plenty empty tables even though there were lots of people there. The ambience was nice, we were able to sit comfortably and carry conversation. My son and I ordered the catfish and shrimp combo, with a side of green beans, fries, and onion rings and it also comes with two hush puppies. The green beans were delicious. The hush puppies were good but I prefer just plain regular old hush puppies. These tasted like they had maybe jalapeño in it. They went spicy just a little kick to them. The serving size is a big portion for the combos. It came with three fish fillets. The fish was fried good but it lacked seasoning. The shrimp was good! We all actually liked the shrimp. The fries were good too there was just a lot. My son loved the onion rings. My husband ordered the jumbo shrimp combo and he loved his shrimp. They were fried perfectly. He also got a side of corn which was good. I saw this place on TikTok and that's what brought me here. Like I said it was good and I love the fact that it is made fresh right there, but it lacked seasoning. Oh and I also loved that it wasn't fishy, if that makes sense.

She explained the different menu boards to us, one is for seafood boils, one is for fried food and one was the lunch menu. We placed our orders, grabbed our drinks and sauces and took a seat at one of the large, loungey booths. The sauces are self serve with tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, ketchup and malt vinegar. Our crab bites came out quick with a side of creamy (not spicy) remoulade sauce. We quickly dove in and were greeted with flavorful little nuggets of crabby goodness. Our shrimp and catfish platters came out next. The batter on both the shrimp and the catfish was incredible! It was cornmeal based, super crispy and well seasoned. You could see the flavor in the breading it was so good. The waffle fries were also exceptional. They weren't just there for backup, they were part of the delicious crispy flavor trio. The portion size was generous. I ate about half and took the other half with while my parents split a platter. The inside of the restaurant is very spacious and clean with a bright, modern feel to the space. It would be good for small or large groups. Again, I just wish I had tried this place sooner! I will be back ASAP to try some of the other menu items. The seafood boils look interesting, served with different flavored butters. I fully recommend this place for locals or if you're just stopping through the area and craving delicious seafood.

The server was so polite and offered great alternatives if you wandered about mixing and matching menu items. My food ended up taking a while so they gave me an extra piece of fish and let's just say that I was certainly pleased with that gesture. I didn't eat it all In one setting, so I was able to take some home and actually have lunch the next day. The place was such a relaxed space and easy spot to consume your food. It wasn't too cold in there and it wasn't too noisy. I will surely return.

The shrimp were tiny and the sandwich was covered with a sauce I didn't like. It should have occurred to me that the fried green tomatoes might also be Cajun. We don't like Cajun but thought the sandwiches might not have all the Cajun seasoning. We should have asked. Another lady at the table got the same thing and she didn't like hers, either. She did ask for ranch dressing for the fried green tomatoes. I followed suite. It did make the tomato's easier to eat but they still were not good. We only got 3 slices each and didn't finish them. I left almost all of my sandwich. I broke off a piece of the bread hoping it might be a good rich bread that I could nibble on. No luck. My husband ordered crawfish étouffée. He said it wasn't warm and tasted like it had been under a heat lamp too long. It was also salty and he has to watch his sodium. He left nearly all of it. One couple ordered voodoo chicken and smashed potatoes. They liked it and ate it all. One person got a chicken sandwich that he said was good. The 2 children got hamburgers and Mac and cheese. They loved the Mac and cheese but barely ate any of the burgers. Their grandmother took a bite of one of the burgers and said it was good. She took the burgers home for the kids. They put the gratuity on the check without telling us. My husband was about to add a gratuity but his sister noticed it was already added and stopped him. They charged us to use a credit card. That alone is enough to keep me from going back. The ambiance was New Orleans decor and pleasant.
