Hello! If you are looking for the perfect breakfast place in Heber/Overgaard, Wood Shed Cafe is my top recommendation. There's never been a place closer to home. Second-to-none meals, speedy service and a great selection for a sit-down restaurant. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, made with a plain bagel, scrambled eggs, sausage, and some extra jalapeños. Everything was homemade, and nothing was like a Cisco brand at all. The bagel was fluffy, the eggs were scrambled to perfection, the sausage was juicy and the jalapeños were a nice add-on. I hope to try the waffles or the breakfast burrito next time. When I came in, the waitress had me at a table in no time, ready to ask my drink and, only about 10 minutes later, my order. The staff provided me with the WiFi password (which I believe to be "Chritina1911", not Christina, or something of that) and were very kind and helpful. Inside was jam-packed of cowboy pictures, taxidermies, funny signs, booths, tables, American flags of different nature (Army, Navy, Navy Seabees), and a bunch of happy people! It was very American, which I love. The restaurant was clean, the booths had felt of some sort and overall a very comforting experience. What I realize, and what you should too, is that it's not everyday a cafe like this is here in your area. I recommend this to all breakfast lovers, this was truly a fantastic place. Well, Friday night we're sitting talking on the phone trying to decide where to go for breakfast on Saturday and the woodshed came up my friend Ken and his wife Melanie said that they have a friend From Work that lives up in Ogard that goes to the woodshed for breakfast and said it was excellent so we hopped on our bikes, first thing Saturday morning at 8 o'clock and one for MESA, Arizona to Overgard, Arizona, which is about 135 miles one way. Perfect day for a motorcycle ride temperatures were between 63 and 91 the mid 60s to low 80s was all the way up and then the 75 to 91 was the right home Ken and I had chicken fried steak eggs and taters. He had French toast and I had toast his wife. Melanie got the skillet with a chocolate chip pancake what a delicious meal and the place is the coolest it's got so much old school stuff in the in the restaurant most of it you see it you have experienced it or had it in your mom and dad's house at one point in time or your grandpa's house service was awesome They suggested us a few different meals. They said everything gravy was the best way to go so chicken fries steak it was with their gravy which was delicious chicken fried steak was delicious. It was an awesome day. so it's 268 miles round-trip what a perfect way to spend a Saturday check it out you'll love it. We will definitely go back. read more

We had never tried Christina's Wood Shed Cafe with all of our time that we spend in Heber. It came recommended to us by our Airbnb. We showed up at opening at got seated right away. The waitress was new, but she did a great job with our orders and memorized everything without a problem. I got a green chili omelet and it was really good! They didn't skimp around with the toppings. The hashbrowns were perfectly crispy and my daughter enjoyed the large kid's pancake! The food came out quickly and like most places in Heber they had a crowd of regulars of which the restaurant knew their order before they sat down. We'd recommend and come back, too! read more

Loved this place so much last time for their gigantic burritos that I had asked my mom if she could bring me one back down from Heber when she visited last weekend. I remember being ecstatic about their burrito last time I got it and it lasted nearly 3 meals. It lasted about the same this time around too. Went in Yesterday (Tuesday, July 8th) and the restaurant was pretty busy. Was sat immediately, got our drink orders in and as soon as the waitress could, she took our orders. Food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time, especially with almost every table taken. We all enjoyed our meals (daughter had the waffle, I had the breakfast sandwich and my other half had the southern benny). The hostess, the waitress, and the cooks were all super friendly, even with a packed house. We highly recommend Christina's Woodshed Cafe! Busy or slow they're always so welcoming, the food tastes like how Grandma would make, and the serving sizes are plentiful! As always for any restaurant if they are busy, remember you're not the only one there being served. If a restaurant inside is packed, its quite customary to stop take-out orders, even if "just one order". If you can't be patient and think being rude to the staff is the answer, you probably should stay home and make your own food. read more

Staying at an Airbnb in the area, and as we were packing up, somebody drove by and told us we had to try this place. They raved about the amazing 18 inch huge pancakes and the hog breakfast which would feed you for four days. We stopped in And the places as cute as can be. Loved having all of the military and first responder flags flying. We decided to share a wrangler plate, two eggs, two small pancakes, two strips of bacon. Everything cooked perfectly. Even the decaf coffee was tasty, which is sometimes hard for a little places to do. Next time we are back in the area we will definitely be stopping by. read more

The customer service here is down right disgusting!!! Called in for a to go order was told an hour wait was willing to wait the time, but I guess taking that 1 to go order was just too much for Maggie to handle. Asked for the manager (Christina 2) and got the same horrible treatment. After I told her we are locals not tourists Christina's attitude changed and I became sweetie and honey. This was our first time here. Kind of dark... gloomy. They were short staffed so it took a really long time to even get drinks. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs, a pancake on the side. We were told the pancakes were big but we had no idea they meant humongous. The food was ok... staff was friendly. I would try it again just because I know the wait times weren't totally their fault. The food was decent... nothing that really stuck out besides the size of the pancake. read more

I have to say for the good reviews here I am not sure what they got because everything we had was bad. We got the chicken fried steak, eggs benedict, and the big breakfast plate. All of it was greasy as hell. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict was severely separated and was nasty. The eggs tasted like they had been out for hours just sitting on a plate and the chicken fried steak was a grease trap. I later got sick off this food and have to say if I ever go up here again I won't come to this place. The server we had was very nice and sweet girl but very unknowledgeable. We'd ask her a question and most of the time she had no clue about the answer. She seemed like the only chipper one there though and she had a bubbly up beat attitude. My husband pulled up this restaurant from a map program. When he showed me a picture of one of the meals I have to confess that I groaned a bit. Super clean with county/patriotic decor. The booth we had was comfy - made me want to stay a while longer! Now, the food: Honey had the Southern Benny (biscuits and gravy), I had the Wrangler (2 eggs, 2 bacon (or sausage), and 2 pancakes. My eggs and bacon were cooked exactly to order - and the pancakes were absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, we were only passing through. Hello! we were in the area again and we had breakfast here 3 days in a row... and 3 days in a row the hubby ordered the country sausage omelette, it was delicious (plus jalapeños per his request) Also, hubby said: "Best hush browns ever!" very crispy (golden, actually) They passed crispy bacon test with flying colors. 99 cent coffee, very friendly staff... what's not to like? they have a $1 fee for paying with credit card, which is a practice I do not like (we never carry cash), however, their prices are so reasonable, we didn't mind. Live up here April thru October and went here once before it sold last time for breakfast. Had really bad service along with food, but we just paid our bill and left, did not complain to staff. Thought we would try it again for lunch, heard there were new owners. Very bad customer service again, food so bad we could not eat it, cheese bad, meat rancid on our sandwich. Had read some post on facebook that some staff are very confrontational if you complain about anything. Had to chase down a waitress to get our bill cause we never seen waitress that took our order. We went for breakfast this morning. My husband had the sausage/egg meal. His food was really good. I had the sausage omelet. Supposedly, had 3 eggs...sausage, cheese, and "smothered with gravy! It was 3 eggs, bits of sausage, I mean bits!!! No cheese inside, just a sprinkling of cheese out the outside, and no smothering of gravy. It was a spoonful.
