I have had a unit at this location for a few years. This place is always super clean and well maintained. It is a secure location and I feel safe when I goto my unit and feel safe leaving my stuff there. The staff have always been nice and considerate. Woodbridge Self Storage - No one is there, for over 30 minutes with no signage or "be back" note. - Self Storage Near Me - Irvine, California

I asked the property manager Hakseng Norm for a summary of all storage charges since I first stored my items at Woodbridge Storage in 2012. With no explanation of the reason he said that "management" would not allow the printing of such a summary report (which is available to him). He only offered a printout of all individual monthly statements (100 or so!). I told him I'm doing accounting and need the summary report but he did not budge. Finally, I called the corporate office, which happens to be in Irvine, and left two messages but did not receive a call back. These storage companies are happy to take your money every month by automatically deducting the rent from your bank account, then raise your rents exorbitantly every year but Woodbridge Storage and parent company StorAmerica do not want to give customers what they want -- actual customer service. I'm taking my items out of Woodbridge Storage as soon as I can. read more

I needed a drive-up unit and a moving truck. This place had what I needed, according to the website, so I was willing to pay more than what competitors were charging... or so I thought. #1: They lied about it being a drive-up unit They advertised my unit as a drive up unit, but when I got there it absolutely was not. I needed to go through a door, down a short hallway, and into a garage door smaller than the drive up units. We stood there while he looked me in the eye and said, "Technically it is a drive-up because you can drive up to the door." I took the unit regardless because I didn't have time to go secure something somewhere else. #2: The moving truck is NOT free (blatant false advertising) I asked when I could schedule a time to use the moving truck. They said the availability is really limited and there was a fee to use it. The fee is the same as what Uhaul charges for a rental! The actual moving truck even has a huge sign on it advertising it as being free. #3: They breach contract I finally had time to move out this month, gave 2-weeks' notice (contract says they need 7-days notice), and cleared out the unit over a week early. It is already on rent to another customer, but today they sent me an invoice saying I need to pay for the following month. #4: Absent employees/no communication I haven't even mentioned how difficult it is to contact anybody via phone and email. I've also stopped by in person twice and there's always a sign on the door saying they are out of the office (during business hours). This place is a joke. Go literally anywhere else. RESPONSE UPDATE: 1) I asked if there were other options and even offered to pay more for an actual drive-up unit. I believe it was you who showed me out and said no. 2) I would've been fine with any amount of refundable deposit. Requiring a fee of $25 is not free... it's $25. 3) That is not true. I moved out prior to being invoiced and have documentation proving that. 4) Thanks for reminding them, because this has not been my experience at all. Feel free to check your inbox. read more

I told him my stuff , and he told me to leave . I called before I went in and he said that they had plenty of units . I believe HR discriminated against me because I'm African American . DO NOT GO HERE!!! If i could give a negative a star i would do that. Beware of the wording in the contract. First, i would like to say that every time we came to the storage, there was always a sign that said they were out of the office for more than 2 hours and once we waited and they didn't come by the time it indicated on the sign. Second, upon moving out the front desk guy was incredibly rude. We followed all the guidelines to move out but because we decided to enrolled in auto-pay we were penalized and unable to get pro-rated for the only 8 days we used in the month. The receipt we get sent every month didn't say anything about not being able to pro-rate if you have an auto-pay set up. It was the worst experience. I am usually really fair with my reviews but this guy was unbelievably rude. He should not be at the front desk if he doesn't know how to give good customer service. read more

Let me start off by saying whoever the front desk guy working here, He was extremely rude and unprofessional from the get go. He wouldn't give me his name, but he was the skinny guy with thinning hair. Supposedly the "property manager" not sure how many people work here though. I been a tenant for more than a year and never once had to talk to the front desk, never gave any problems to them, paid on auto pay, pretty much a perfect storage renter. Now let's get to the part where I wanted to move out. I attached a copy of the wording of the receipts I get every month for reference. My autopay happens on the 1st of every month, but on the receipt it says I have until the 10th for a prorated charge. So I think, okay I can get a refund if I move out before the 10th because it says if I let them know "on or before the 10th". I move out on the 7th, leave the storage nice and clean. Go up to the office talk to the rude guy up front and let him know I'm all moved out. I also ask if I can get a prorated refund because it's before the 10th. First he says he can't because you are on autopay and money was already taken out. I'm like okay..... other companies prorate refunds all the time and it doesn't say that on the receipt. Then he says you have to give 7 days notice. Its in the lease agreement. He shows me, and I'm like okay I see it. I tried to give kind advice to reword the receipt every month to say this and not the "on or before the 10th" because if I gave them notice on the 10th, that's still not 7 days notice. So I was just trying to explain to him that they don't run into this problem again with future customers. I'm sure I'm not the only one this happened too. He was being super rude at this point and trying to sit on his high horse saying their system is perfect. All right dude.... whatever lol. I told him I'm not asking for the refund anymore because i re read the lease agreement, but just to change the receipt that you send your customers every month. That's what they will be reading and not a lease agreement that someome signs years ago. He was not having it because again he thinks he is perfect in every way. So I said, "dude why are you being an A hole, I'm just trying to give you guys advice for your future situations like this" that sent him even more in a bad mood and he wanted to go check the unit now with me. I'm like sure man no problem, and went with him. I told him I left it nice and clean because I'm a good renter lol. He stormed away like a little kid with a mad walk and still went the wrong way. I showed him the unit and he was hoping to find something wrong based on his facial expressions. He didn't find anything and I asked, "good?" He said "good" and stormed back to his office lol. He printed up my receipt and I asked him for his name, but he wouldn't give it to me. Like okay dude, I'm sure if I call corporate I can find out. So please don't use this place. Their attitude alone is the worst. I wish the guy that signed me up still worked there he was chill and nice. read more

Warning to anyone looking to move their valuables into  Affiliate "Woodbridge Storage located at 5020 Barranca Pkwy, Irvine CA 92604 Phone 949-857-4900  I've been threatened verbally and by letters from the RUDE property manager Hakseng Norm from Storage America Affiliate "Woodbridge Storage located at 5020 Barranca Pkwy, Irvine. I was charged $180  for 35 days prepaid by my Amex card on a Friday.  Hakseng promised this was a very secure facility and you need a password to get in or out.  This was a LIE!  2 days later on Sunday, I came by to put things into storage.   The security gate was WIDE OPEN for Any thieves with a pad lock cutter to come and cut the locks and steal everything.  I NEVER ACTUALLY MOVED ANYTHING INTO the storage units AND CANCELLED THE CONTRACT Exactly 3 days later.   It would have been sooner however NO one EVER answers the phone #949-857-4900.    Amex charged back my initial fees because although Hakseng Norm (property mgr) will try to LIE and threaten you with contract language that states NO refunds, Woodbridge is in breach of their own contract since they promised a Secure and pass code entry and exit.  This was NOT the case as at least 5 different tenants stated that the security gate is ALWAYS BROKEN DUE TO A SO CALLED SOFTWARE ISSUE, especially on Sunday and Monday  when No one is at the office.   This is why Amex Reversed all charges and sided with me.  When I called Hakseng just a few days after signing the contract, I told him that I would NOT be moving in due to FALSE ADVERTISING AND I don't feel safe with my belongings in an unlocked, facility.  Hakseng thanked me for letting me know I was not moving in and said NO Refunds! And hung up on me.  6 weeks later, I get Multiple threatening letter from Hakseng (see posted photo) threatening to call the sheriff on me and file a criminal summons on me and will start charging me extra $25 credit card charge back fees, even though I NEVER moved anything into the storage Facility! Woodbridge is a very clean and organized storage center. I was greeted with a smile and excellent customer service by Chris, the property manager and two other gentlemen. Chris drove me to a few units in a golf cart and he went out of his way to show me different storage options, units and the price difference between each. He seemed to like his job and was proud of the facilities. I love that the insurance and all fees are included in their monthly locker price. Their prices end up being 30% less than the other two I looked into and had great lockers, employees and even greeted their customers by name. I rented there since May and found them to be a great place. Their payment service is very reasonable and easy to access and make payment arrangements. Their storage is in a very easy and accessible location. I was able to access my storage at all the times I needed. The employees and staff are very friendly. One time, Dave saw I was trying to dispose of boxes, and offered to help. He was very friendly and helpful. I was in such a rush, I had to dispose of our unwanted laundry and clothes as soon as I could, I wish I could've taken them to a Goodwill or some donation center myself, but I didn't have the time. Dave offered to take the clothes for me and donate them himself. He even helped me clean out and dust my unit! It's nice to see a storage unit offer a helping hand. I chose Woodbridge Self Storage on the basis of location and price. I found that the place is clean and in good condition, unlike my last self-storage place. The halls are well lit. They offer several payment options, and if you pay monthly, they give you advance notice that the next payment is coming due and a grace period after the 1st. The manager, Hakseng, is professional, pleasant, and helpful. I stopped by my unit recently, but didn't properly secure the door when I left. How do I know? The next day, I got a phone call, and when I missed the first call, Hakseng called again. He does a daily unit check and noted the problem. I would recommend this place to my friends! We first wanted to rent a unit starting March 1st , but due to some reasons, the move in date has been pushed back to 3/30, and we made it difficult for Kevin since we didn't inform him about him. But He was still really nice and friendly and tried to help us as much as possible! He has called me several times to confirm the whole move in situation and he was trying to help to reserve the truck for us for the second time even we didn't show up for the first time. So we want to thank him for that! And I also want to thank Chris for the excellent customer service experiences that he provided. We were a little worried about not being able to get the truck on 3/30, but Chris kept trying to help and rearrange it for us, and he also kept calling me to update me regarding it which shows that he actually cares for the customers. And yesterday when we were unloading stuff out of the truck, he brought us some dolly to help us. And he even called the center to give us an extra hour to unload everything, which made everything less stressful for us. Great storage company that is very secure and clean. They have not had any break-ins since they opened (according to them). This is probably due in part to the fact that the Irvine Police Department conducts officer training and dog-training exercises on the premises. Great way to help the community while deterring any would-be criminals. They have various specials for new customers and offer discounted rates after that if you negotiate with them. They also allow you to use their moving truck during your first month. This gives them HUGE props in my book because it helps save you the cost of hiring a moving company, which as we all know can be quite costly. Bills are due on the 1st but there is a 10 day grace period, which is helpful if you prefer to pay in person and happen to be out of town or what not on the first of the month. They also have a pay online feature if you prefer that. If you have forgotten to pay, they place a courtesy call to you a few days before your bill is due. It is located off the beaten path, next to a synagogue and various medical buildings, which again makes it more secure in my opinion. Since it isn't located on a major road, the actual storage units stay cleaner and don't have any dust and grime that blows in from the street. The staff are friendly and helpful. Only downside is that it is a little on the expensive side. However, it's worth it for the security and cleanliness. read more

There are several sizes for you to choose from. My friend and I stored both our furniture here for three months. We rented an indoor storage unit that was about 9 x 11 and maximized our unit by stacking in the most efficient way possible. We still had plenty of room to spare!
