I have used a lot of storage units back in my day as a college student, but this storage unit has to be the worst possible storage unit place EVER. 1 - ALARMS Why are there alarms in place that go off seemingly at random? I was never told about this, and EVERY SINGLE TIME I went to move an item out or put an item in, this LOUD ASS ALARM would always go off and scare the ever-loving life out of me. I STILL have NO IDEA why the alarm goes off, and it was never communicated that you had an alarm of any kind. Does it go off because of noise? Or because the office is closed? No idea, but it went off every time I went to this place. Please let us know if there's a lunk alarm like a Planet Fitness! I would've loved to know that before signing on. 2 - PRICES WAY TOO OVERPRICED for what you're getting. You're telling me I get to pay $200 a month to get my ears blasted off every time I come by. I asked about downsizing, and their prices are still crazy for even a 5 x 7 unit. I could get the same storage for half the price at Instorage in Yorba Linda, AND I won't get the shit scared out of me every time I go in there. 3 - CARTS Generally speaking, most storage places have carts or rollers that you can use, these places make it especially hard for you to use these features. They require that you walk to the front desk (which, if it's far from your unit...good luck) give them your ID or keys, then they give you a key to unlock one particular color-coded cart that is even further from your storage unit. Once you walk all the way back to your unit after walking from the carts,,, after walking FROM the office. You can use the cart. Don't worry. Once you're done. You're gonna have to do the whole process in reverse now just to get your ID back. SERIOUSLY need to rethink the way you give out carts. The staff was fine overall, but they never really "helped" when I actually needed help. For a place that was charging so much, you guys could've been a little more helpful, especially with communication regarding that stupid god forsaken alarm. Can you tell what motivated me to write this? Overall,,,would give 0 stars if I could. Never had a worse storage experience than this place. read more

Went here on a whim after researching other places and they fell thru to meet my needs. Walked in and Jesus is one amazing guy. Hooked me right up with exactly what I needed in less than 30mins! Pros: Availability, access hours, security, A+++ customer service Cons: nothing of their fault but area has randoms hanging around Jesus made that great of an impression that I trusted his business with my belongings. RATS RATS RATS! I've been trying to get ahold of the owner for weeks due to the copious amounts of rat poop and damage in my storage unit. The manger told me because I didn't have a protection package the furniture that has been chewed up, stained and soaked in rat feces is pretty much my problem. He mentioned the location has cameras and an alarm that goes off in your unit if your code isn't punched in at the gate when you enter. The location itself looked extremely clean, I did not see people loitering, and the outside of the property seemed welcoming. read more

My family and I decided to use this storage to hold our personal belongings since we did not have enough room in our household. We had shoes, clothes, tablets, phones and my sons expensive car toys. We did not plan to use the storage for long but since we had heard good things about this one in particular we decided to rent a space. They also told us that we had to buy the lock from them and we could not purchase our own. About 15 DAYS later our things were unfortunately stolen out of our garage. We called the police and made a report and nothing was resolved and were never contacted. We called various times and they said the insurance has not done anything and they were still investigating our case. Months and months went by and we heard the exact same excuse every time we called and went there personally. They had also said they had a recording of the person who had stolen our things but had declined to show us the evidence. Eventually they stopped taking our calls and we have not spoken to them since it has BEEN OVER A YEAR NOW! We as a family trusted this business to guard and protect our personal belongings regardless of the price. They told us we need recipes and photos of what was inside the storage. I believe it was not logical for any person to take photos of a random pair of shoes or a box full of plastic Car toys. I WILL NEVER hire them and WILL NEVER recommend to anybody because of the horrible experience. BEWARE. read more

I am a very satisfied customer! I was able to find a great deal on a clean and spacious unit. Even though it was on the second floor, the cargo elevator and flat carts made moving as easy as it can get. All the paperwork was easy to do not to mention that moving in and moving out was no hassle. Paying my bill was always super easy too especially with their automated phone system. I would highly recommend using this storage yard. I just hope you live close enough to make it practical. read more

Got my tv's and jewelry stolen from my unit. When I alerted them to let them know they weren't helpful at all. Wouldn't recommend it. Every time I went in the girl at the front had her feet kicked up and was on the phone or was eating there with a group of friends. Unprofessional. read more

Nice, clean facilities. My storage unit is inside the building and upstairs. I had many big and heavy items that needed to be stored, and they have a lift to get all your belongings up to the second floor. A1 storage made it easy for me, and I thank them for that! read more

Gotta admit, this place is quite a friendly place. Didn't have any hassle finding a unit, or going through the paperwork. They were able to accommodate my needs, and were even able to upgrade my storage unit at an excellent price, when I realized the one I had wasn't enough. I wanted to share my experience with A1 Storage very unhappy. I had a unit with them for over a year and everything was great up in till last month when we paid for the unit and then decided to go rearrange things inside our unit. We realized that something was off when on our chase there was a boot foot print we dusted off and kept cleaning it out when it was half way clean we realized that we were missing our two TV's. When i called the front desk to tell the girl we were missing our TV's she seemed to not care and asked if we had pictures to proof that we had the TV's i said no we do not so she said you can try to make a report and see if there is anything we can do at that point i was very upset. I will admit that i had paid the unit late but that gives them no right to take our things. When i went down to make the report the girl said that some one would call me in a few days to go over things. It is now January and no one cared to call my husband or I to discuss our issues there. I would never recommend this place and i am very upset that we no longer have our TV's. I would hope in the future they would care enough to call there clients back. read more
