My Surprise Bag from Too Good to Go order...
    Ellie S.

I came here to pick up my TGTG order that was set for pick-up today. When I arrived, I was told its all sold out for the day but he was able to quickly put one bag together for me. It is in a gated building so you will have to call to get the code to get in and the shop is all the way at the end. It was a good bag for $5 and cookies tasted great with coffee/tea.

5 orders from Too Good To Go app. 4 packages per order. I've tried the lavender choco & dark choco. They are very good. Balanced sweetness & saltiness. Majority of prepackaged cookies or sweets can be dried out. These are not. They taste very fresh. They are bitter sweet which is the taste I like w/ chocolate. As far as I'm concerned, you do chocolate justice, you're great in my book . The 2nd pic is how an order was bagged.

Traditional Alfajores: shortbread cookies joined with dulce de leche and rolled in grated coconut, Argentine-style

I can't really recall why or how, but we ended up with some sweets at work from Wooden Table Baking. We got them on Monday, March 25th around 4:30pm. I believe we got the traditional Alfajores: shortbread cookies joined with dulce de leche and rolled in grated coconut, Argentine-style. The cookies were good. Nice and soft. The dulce de leche added a great sweet caramel-y flavor. I'm normally not a huge fan of coconut, but it wasn't too prominent here. Nice afternoon treat.

    Simple sampler: $26

Thank you Wooden Table Baking for helping me deliver a last minute temporary gift for my friend's birthday during the Shelter in Place!!! During our humble times at home, I wanted to gift my friend a sweet treat for her birthday during the Shelter in Place. Luckily for me, I stumbled upon Wooden Table Baking and decided to purchase some alfajores for my friend to try. I've had traditional alfajores before and I knew she would also enjoy them as well. I love that Wooden Table Baking offers a wide variety of flavor selections, which is so unique especially for such a rare bakery find that specializes in alfajores (they have truffles too)! The wide flavor selections made it extremely difficult for me to select just one flavor, but to my surprise they also make 3 different sampler boxes to choose from! Each sampler box is $26. The simple sampler has 16 alfajores that includes 4 different flavors (traditional, snickerdoodle, meringue and chocolate). They also have the chocoliscious sampler, which also includes 16 alfajores, all in a different variety of chocolate cookies. The third sampler is the flavor fusion sampler, which includes 16 cookies of unique flavors like lemon ginger and mint chocolate. I ended up choosing the sampler box as I wasn't sure if my friend had tried alfajores before. Sometimes you can't go wrong with traditional! I placed my order online on a Saturday morning. Since they're closed on the weekends, I received a text update the following Monday saying my package was on it's way for delivery, which was perfect since that was my friend's actual birthday (unfortunately, it was only confirmation that the delivery label was created)! Although my friend's box got delivered the day after her birthday (due to my poor planning), Wooden Table Baking's delivery was very quick! I will order more alfajores from Wooden Table Baking again! Their delivery is fast and I've received positive feedback from my friend on how they taste along with some cute photos of her curious dog sniffing away at the sweets!

A co-worker brought in these amazing alfajores to work and got a bunch of us hooked! I ordered a box of snickerdoodle alfajores and a box of the traditional alfajores. They are both so delicious with a cup of coffee! I love supporting small businesses!

Drove from SF to pick up my order and it was closed. I had until 2pm for pick up but no one was there at 1:30pm. Wasted my time and gas!

Gregory's even has these hearty croissant filled pies, straight SHMACKIN! Get the chicken spinach one, you won't be disappointed. It's a very small underground-ish area, and there's no seating. You ask the staff for whichever pastries you'd like and they grab it out of the case/fridge for you. Ranked best to worst, we got the: - milkshake pie: omg idk how but it really does taste like a milkshake, coffee base with huge oreo chunks mixed in. brownie crust was quite tough but bottom was compressed oreo - sweet potato cake: yummm, tastes like carrot cake, well spiced, moist - coconut cream pie: not too sweet, big coconut chunks mixed into the base, light, very crumbly crust like loose crumbs - red velvet cake: easily the worst one, dry like a grocery store cake honestly Only issue is these got stale fast, like the cakes weren't moist the next day. Microwaved them to fix that and if you like warm cake then that's a helpful hack. They have a huge variety of desserts, many that I've never heard of or tried so definitely excited to try again.

We went mainly for drinks and tried a latte, tiramisu latte, and a Spanish latte. The tiramisu latte and Spanish latte were both really good and definitely my favorites. It comes unsweetened, so I asked for it to be sweetened and it was great after that. The vanilla matcha was fine too, just not my top pick. They're also dropping a new Ramadan drink soon, a date latte, which sounds really good and I'll probably come back just to try that. Overall, great drinks and a nice place to hang out.

I undetstand they are an acquired taste but me being Middle Eastern we have our own versions and I think that's why I didn't like as much. I would definitely go back and try more sweet pastries. They had a large selection I couldn't try them all haha. I would love to try more tea and coffee options as well. Go and try out several different pastries and discover what you like. My personal favorite is the Kyoto Matcha - the matcha is high-quality, with a vivid green color and rich flavor that balances beautifully with the creamy cheesecake base. The Original is a classic for a reason with deeply caramelized top and creamy interior. I also tried the Iribancha, a roasted green tea flavor. It's intense, smoky, and unique..maybe not one I could finish in one sitting, but definitely memorable and recommend for those who want that earthy/smoky taste. The truffle was also a standout, adding just enough umami to round out the sweetness. Preorders drop via Instagram (@basukucheesecakes) and sell out lightning-fast.
