Troy's reasoning is that we texted prior with questions but I've followed his contract which required email cancelation and not text. My experience has been extremely frustrating due to the lack of communication and failure to promptly return funds that I believe are owed. The crew were always on time. They demolished and hauled away materials. The crew worked their full day and sometimes additional hours to stay on schedule. It was easy to communicate because the lead and most crew members spoke English. The cleaning, sweeping, and blowing off debris was done daily leaving a clean space. Crafted patio delivered on their contract and communicated well with me from the initial estimate all the way through the completion of my custom patio cover. Very disappointed with this company. They built a vinyl gate for me about 3 years ago. I noticed…read morea crack developing where the header inserts into the hinge side vertical. I contacted them and they said it was out of warranty but I could contact the manufacturer on my own if I wanted. They quoted $550 to replace the cracked vertical piece of the gate alone, and would not even schedule my appointment until I paid in full. When the installers came to repair the gate, they had the wrong size vinyl parts. He called the office and after 45 min they told me I had a "non-standard" size gate (which they installed BTW) and didn't know when they would be able to get it. I had them refund my money until they found the part. I exchanged an email with the manager who informed me they had done me a "favor" by diagnosing my issue via photos I sent them rather than their normal $300 site visit to diagnose issues. Crazy... In the meantime, I contacted another company (So Cal Fencing) who responded quickly and although they didn't have the part to simply repair the gate, he offered to build and install a completely new gate for $650 including new hardware. Upon arriving, their installers discovered the original posts on either side of the gate were not fully secured, causing the gate to vibrate when it closed and likely causing the cracks. They replaced the posts including rebar into the cement and added concrete inside the posts so they should never have issues again. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your fencing needs.
