We live in an 'old lakewood' home not far from this business. Courtesy Glass came highly recommended from my elderly neighbor across the street, who has used them since the 1950s. I had a tiny job (a recent windy night had broken an old bedroom slider window pane, but it was too heavy for me to pull put alone), but they made time for me and treated me with respect. They came out the same afternoon, removed the window and replaced the broken pane with no issues. Well were do I begin ...as a 20 plus year home owner this business has to be top 3 BEST I've ever had the pleasure to hire. Their showroom is great and answered every single question we had. Making an appointment was simple and they showed up on time to take measurements and answer any questions at my home. I had a custom shower door made and it was ready to be installed within 2 weeks. I was called the day prior of the installment and asked what time worked for me....YES they asked me. I set the appointment for 9am and guess what??? They arrived at 850am ready to go. I know...sorry but this is obviously a professional company that cares about their word. These two gentlemen were polite and very professional. I could see they had the proper tools and had a great attitude ready to work. 20 minutes into the installation I had a power outage, the entire block went dark. Do you think these guys stopped working ???? NOPE! They used their flashlights and continued on with their work. Absolutely incredible. Worth every penny!!! Highly recommend. First thing that struck me, a human being answered my phone call within a few rings! Don't believe me, try for yourself - it will blow your mind in Los Angeles in 2024. Second, said human was knowledgeable and helpful. I got my window to their location the next day for measuring, glass ordered and was told it should be in next week...it was Tuesday. On Friday I received the call that the glass came in. I went down an hour after that call with the window, left it and got a call 2 hours later it was ready. I'm sure they do good work - I wouldn't know. I tried setting up an appointment with them in several ways - they asked for an email, so I emailed them with pictures of the damage and no response. Then I called and they said that they forgot about the email. They said they'll schedule me in later today when they're guy came back in from lunch. I called right before closing and said the guy never came in and that they'll call me Monday. It's Wednesday and still no call back. We're sleeping in the cold because of this broken window. I called and requested a piece of glass for an aquarium lid. The person with whom I spoke with was very pleasant and helpful. I was asked to email the dimensions and within minutes I got a quote of $65 and timeline of 1-2 days. Being within a couple miles of "Courtesy Glass", I immediately drove over to pay the amount so my project would not be delayed. I entered the business and was completely ignored for 20minutes, while the guy guy at the counter chat away with a customer who also seemed to be an acquaintance. Finally I was the only customer there so I was eve acknowledge. I made reference to my email and the staff went to his computer to look things over. he kept mumbling to himself, then told me that the glad would be $105 opposed to the $65. While attending to me two gentlemen walked through the door and immediately they were greeted and was assured that someone would be with them shortly. I was treated completely differently, ignored for 20 minutes yet customers after me got acknowledged right away, and Courtesy Glass had no intention of honoring their estimate they gave me in writing. I really am disappointed in this establishment because I wanted to support a local business. Courtesy Glass is amazing! This was our second time working with them and we were very pleased both times. I am not the type to get bids from multiple different places (nor have the time to do so), especially for such a small job, so when the service is friendly, they can do the job quickly, and I can arrange everything over the phone, I'm sold. For this repair, I made the service call on Monday morning and by 1:30pm Tuesday afternoon the job was completed. They replaced a broken window pane that was probably 60 years old. It was obscured glass and they had a replacement that matched the other pane perfectly. The job onsite took maybe 30 minutes. Mark replaced our window and he was great at calling me when he was on his way and then called me back when he was finished. The first time we used them, my husband made a custom enclosure for our reptile that needed sliding glass doors. My husband dropped off the enclosure with Courtesy and they installed the sliders and made beautiful doors that fit perfectly and can be taken out for easy clean up. This job also took them maybe 2 days from start to finish. 4 years later the doors and slider are in perfect condition. read more

This review is long over due. I used courtesy glass in 2012 when they replaced the glass doors on my wardrobe closet. Two guys came out I don't remember their names but was very nice they took the doors to the shop and reinstalled when they were completed. They look beautiful no problems to this day. Fast forward to today I called and stopped by the shop and dealt with Danila over the phone and in person. She is very nice and personable. She pays attention to exactly what you are looking for and goes through samples of what it would look like if you go into the shop. Courtesy replaced my shower today. Brian did the measurements prior and installed. It came out beautiful. I'm very happy with the work nice guy and professional. I would definitely use this company again. These guys were awesome! I had previously taken a stand-up mirror in for repair to another shop and it mysteriously developed a crack across the middle after about three days. They refused to stand behind their work, so I went to Courtesy Glass & Mirror. What a difference. The first thing I noticed was the shop is very clean and impressive. Second, the young woman who took my order was very knowledgeable and helpful. Third, they diagnosed why the mirror cracked after the initial repair - the wood had warped with age and the replacement glass didn't fit properly. Dropped off my window frame to have broken glass measured and then replaced around 12:30pm on Good Friday. Then I was called at 2:21pm that same day to pick it up. I believe his name was JT who called me promptly at 8 to give me a heads up that he was on his way which I greatly appreciated. It was a plus for me already. As he arrived, me and my family were preparing breakfast. Service was fast because he was done by the time we were done eating. We have bars outside of our windows but he managed to work around it. As I was prepared to pay 120 for the replacement he let me know that he fixed the vinyl that was hanging from my window. Forgot the vinyl was torn and appreciated that he fixed it without my asking. Drop off my screen door to get re screen on a Friday and waited until Thursday to get it back. Added a pet guard and the tabs had to be cut off to make it fit. The ends where the tabs were cut off were left sharp and unpainted. They were happy to take my money and did terrible work. Quality is not one of their goals!!! Will never go there again. read more
