They charged me $176 to look at my car's tailpipe to see if it could be welded. They had the car for 4 hours although it takes about 10 minutes to make this determination. They said it could not be welded. So I said, $176 and you did nothing?? The guy said well, I have to pay my mechanic for his time. Then he said he would cut the charge in half. I have a 2015 red four-door Wrangler that has always been good to me. But like anything else, it started showing its age about a month or so ago. We heard Woodies's could fix it and so I called and made an appointment. Jonathan, in the Indian Land/Charlotte Highway location, was so friendly and helpful. My Jeep proved to be a handful of connected issues and they did a great job locating the problems and repairing them as some were still under warranty. Their customer service was wonderful and I would refer them to anyone. Johnny is the manager and he should get a raise for the amount of work he does there. read more

I would be very cautious about using this mechanic service for anything other than an oil change. I had a check engine light issue and their diagnostics indicated low compression on #3 cylinder, their recommendation was replace the engine. I ended up taking my Audi Q5 to a Import specialist and they indicated the issue was a bad fuel injector. They were able to take care of the repair in short order. They also told me that previous work done by Woodies wasn't done correctly and they had to do it over. They talk about their quality of service and their ASE certified mechanics and their belief in Customer Service and treating you like family. That was not my experience. read more

Woodies in Indian Land I took my car to Woodies because I was having an issue with my key fob..they suggested I leave it so they can take a look at it..when I got my car back and a week later I had an oil leak .. I took it back to them and that cost me almost $600.. I left and something else went wrong.. I took it back and whatever they said was wrong cost me almost $800 .. left again and something else went wrong , I took it back and paid almost $500 to get that issue fixed.. how does a key fob issue turn into an oil leak and so many other problems .. my a/c doesn't work now and guess what.. I still have an oil leak .. please please please do not take your car to these people.. read more

I know some have had good experiences with Woody, but ... About 6 months ago they did some work on our Toyota Hybrid and all was OK until recently when the same issue began again. Their testing showed that one of the ignition coils they installed was faulty so they replaced it free but charged me for another diagnostics test. I argued and they gave me a credit; but 2 or 3 days later I had the same problem once again with another coil. At that point they told me to go to Toyota. Woodies in Indian land is not only trustworthy but so quick and reliable. Called to get an oil change after the ballantyne Woodie's said they wouldn't have my car done till 2 days later when I had an appointment. Indian land said yeah it will take an hour come on in. I sat in the waiting room and was in and out in no time. They customer service is amazing they are so nice there and they don't take advantage of you like most car places in the area! Avoid Woodie's. Went to replace battery. They said we needed alternator. I didn't disagree with the diagnosis. However, $1,053 later I have a new refurbished alternator. Researched (after the fact) the cost of alternator replacement is $500. Definitely got taken to the cleaners. Next, they called us and said we needed back tires. We just had the back tires replaced 8 mo ago. They called back later (again) and said the front tires were bad because the car needs an alignment. We refused because they wanted over $900 for the front tires and an alignment. We went down the street to discount tires and a nicer set of tires are only $500. Talked to the Woodie's manager (Eddie) to complain about the bill and got a real run around. It is sad they are gouging people because having a well run business with fair pricing is a sure fire way to stay in business and the antithesis will be "OUT OF BUSINESS". Do not go. I wish I would have read the other reviews. No wonder they have a 2.5 star rating. McDonald's has a higher rating and that's saying something. Maybe it's called Woodies cause you get stiffed so hard. Started off that my brakes on my 2004 Honda Pilot went out and called Woodies on 7/2 and asked about their towing the website says they offer, they say they don't offer one and I'd have to pay but they recommend this company, ask how much the diagnostic is and she said she doesn't know. Okay. Call the company (5 stars for American towing they're amazing) to get my car towed to Woodies (7/3) and they say oh you don't pay us we have a contract with them. So maybe the lady at the desk was just new and was grossly misinformed, no problem. Get the diagnostic done, mine was 127.98 btw, the total for brakes, rotors, tires and a caliper was 2,800.39. That's also not including the diagnostic which is ON TOP of work you have done, never paid for a diagnostic when I get work done with someone only if I choose not to get the work done through them. You have to be kidding me! Called another local auto shop and got quoted 1,357.26 for the same things. Disgusting. Anyway, at the time they called for the diagnostic results and gave me the price I said that was a lot and I was going to need to save up a few checks to get it done and I asked if the car was okay to be there. The guy that I was talking to said let me ask my manager, puts me on hold, comes back and says that it can stay there I just need to keep them up to date. I tell him I get payed every 2 weeks and it will most likely be 2 months at least till I save up enough. He said that's fine. I asked if I needed to come in every 2 weeks and make deposits and he said it's not necessary. Cool. I get a text 5 days later asking when I plan to get the repairs done and that I could apply for koalifi. ?? Did I not just tell you 5 days ago my plan?? I text back again that I've already talked to someone and told them it was going to be a few checks till I could afford it. 2 days later get a text saying that I need to come by and pay the diagnostic so they can close my ticket. Was planning to that weekend but between working 730-6 most days it's hard to get off work at the animal hospital I work at because I always have to stay late due to, you guessed it, emergencies. I get a text yesterday threatening me that I need to have my car picked up by the end of the day today (they're open 7-2 Saturdays) or they will be applying for a title lean on my car. Wow. Just wow. Don't go, I will be telling everyone I know not to come to any Woodies unless you want to get pounded with no lube. Oh btw cost breakdown for everything so you know ahead of time: diagnostic-127.98, front brakes caliper and rotor-1257.29, rear brakes and rotor-573.84, 4 tires-969.26, tie rod ends-607.33, stabilizer links-315.97, struts- 867.50, serpentine belt-126.30, spark plugs-310.39, cleaning battery terminals-122.39 (this was the funniest one), new headlight assembly-1285.40 (lol), fuel flush-177.20, coolant diagnostic(just to see where the leak is not fix it)-257.49, oil change with dye(to find supposed leak which I've never had an issue with)-202.60. Their communication is non-existent, they will not stick to their timelines and the Owner doesn't even care enough to update the closing time on the door. He just said "Yeah, the time is wrong." I will never go here again. Took my vehicle in to fix the squealing sound it was making along with other issues & paid over $4k in repairs. They changed the serpentine belt, weeks later the squealing started again. They wanted to charge me $584 to replace the belt tensioner. 2 visits to fix the same issue is bs. They charged me $53 for a diagnostic because I told them the car was rumbling (something it wasn't doing until after they worked on it). To top it all off, I told them I'd never come back & the response from Service Advisor was "fine with me!" I never raised my voice, I never yelled once, and I was never rude. Ridiculous! Long story short, I took my car in to have the headlight replaced... after 2 wasted visits and $340, my car still needs new headlight, but now needs new battery and have blind spot sensor system error. My 2015 F-150 (with 120k miles) gave out on a Thursday afternoon at 3:00pm. I happened to be 1/2 mile from Woodie's, so I limped my truck there and made it in about 30 minutes. They gave me a courtesy ride to Enterprise, about a half mile away and I rented another pickup to finish my business appointments. Duane gave me a call an hour later with an estimate and I told them to proceed. Friday morning Duane called at 10:00am and had my truck repaired. They did a good job, at a fair price. I won't go back to Woodie's. They did fine work, but the billing was outrageous. The guys were friendly and it's not their fault the shop has set fees, but they could have been more transparent. I had an oil change, freon added to my ac, and a headlight bulb replaced for $360. I was told the oil change would be $70 for full synthetic, with all the fees it ended up being $90. None of this includes the laundry list of things they said my car "needed" I had it serviced 6months ago with a full inspection(I've put 1,000 miles on my car in that time) and the items they said needed replaced were "in good condition" then. I expect honesty and complete transparency, unfortunately that's not the customer service I received. I have had similar services done before and it was half as much. Very disappointed. read more

Avoid this "auto service center" at all costs!! I called in for a quote to do a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation, and was quoted $76 which I thought was a little high, but they were able to fit me in that morning. Went to the shop.....extremely polite and great waiting area. Wait was not long and as I went to check out I was presented with a bill for almost $110. I was livid. They reviewed the bill.....extra $20 for tire rotation....extra labor and "shop fees". I told them I called in advance and the guy said "well, I must have misunderstood you as I did not hear you say tire rotation". I said well, most shops do that for free anyway. So, to make a long story short, they rebated me a whopping $10 because they said the kid overcharged me on something. Net, net....$100 for an oil change and tire rotation. Came home and told my neighbor and he laughed....said he just got his car done for same service and it cost $65 out the door. DO NOT GO TO WOODIES OR YOU AND YOUR WALLET WILL REGRET IT!!! read more
