This is the best and most friendliest AAA I've ever been to. My friend insisted that we use them to plan our family spring break trip. So I went along just to keep the peace. Well was I surprised! We arrived early on a Saturday and worked with Phyllis. Poor Phyllis was was tasked with getting 10 ppl booked on a cruise, in rooms that were adjoining, on a high deck, mid-ship with balconies. A tall order for a ship that was 60% booked but Phyllis was patient and knowledgeable. She knew who to call and what to ask for to get us exactly what we wanted at a price we all could live with. While we waited for the booking details to get tied up, I mentioned my passport needed to be renewed. Phyllis let me know that as a AAA member I could get free passport photos taken...NOW! So a gentlemen (I can't recall his name but he was super kind and was at the front door when we arrived) came over and escorted me to the pi foyer area, took my photos and brought them back to me in a nice cover with the passport renewal forms printed out and stapled together. I was blown away!!! Now, I have not used AAA in forever but we booked our cruises and low and behold my battery goes out on my truck the next week. B/C I had the battery installed and purchased by AAA and it was under warranty they replaced it in less than an hour for free!!! I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by this AAA-recommended repair facility. I brought my vehicle in to have an overheating issue diagnosed and repaired. Not only was the original problem not fixed correctly, but the work performed appears to have caused additional damage to my vehicle, including damage to the water pump and radiator cooling fan. Despite charging me more than $1,600 for the repair, the vehicle continued to experience the same issues. Because the problem was never resolved, I was forced to seek a second opinion from another mechanic. After a thorough inspection, the new repair shop disassembled the affected components and showed me evidence of damage and improper repairs that were left behind by the previous service center. As a result, I am now facing additional repair costs for parts and labor that could have been avoided had the original repair been performed correctly. I trusted this facility because it was recommended through AAA, but my experience has been extremely frustrating and costly. I would not recommend this repair shop based on the quality of work performed and the unnecessary expenses I have incurred as a result. I am requesting full reimbursement of the charges I paid for the original repair, as well as compensation for the additional damage caused to other vehicle components and the extra repair costs I am now being forced to incur to restore my vehicle to proper working condition. read more

Stay away! Two trips in the past three years have resulted in demands to perform unnecessary services and repairs. They even damaged my vehicle performing a simple service. They did fix it, but it wasn't worth my time to wait for their repair for an oil change special. The 2nd visit for a SCHEDULED oil change took almost 3 hours and resulted in an inspection report stating the car needed thousands of dollars of maintenance and repairs. The car was not due for these services by mileage or time according to the manufacturer's guidelines. This years LOF and inspection performed by a local independent shop confirmed all is fine and only an oil change was needed. No contact from management when feedback was provided. Apparently, their business strategy is to try lure people in with some service special, then con everyone and make their money from the few poor people that get intimidated into paying for unnecessary work. This long-time member cancelled our membership, and I DO NOT recommend trying them for emergency or regular service! read more

We've dropped the both cars off around 12:30 our appointment was at 1:00pm. Come back and we just wanted an oil change that takes 10 minutes and a rotate tires 40 minutes like a hour max. Not busy nothing. But we ask about it and get ignored twice. He just walked away. And on top of that I'm never coming back it's taken over 4 hours worst place ever! And if you're reading this discount does tire rotations for free and go down the street from here for an oil change it's gonna be less and quicker I bet. NEVER COME HERE !!!!!! read more

We are currently in our trip to Korea. We got 4 International Driver Licenses, we paid $280 for them. We get to Korea to find out that the AAA rep did not stamp our drivers licenses with the grade. No rental car company will rent us a car, so we are forced to pay for UBER and Taxis for the next 2 weeks. All the plans to travel around the world to get stuck in one place. Please take note of this as this is not commonly done and it could be related to poor training of the person at this office's front desk. read more

Two part review: auto and travel: So I won gift certificate for a free oil change. I also read 3 reviews re oil changes etc. The staff were very friendly, the car was taken in on time as scheduled. The oil change total $73.57 The oil and filter total $69.95 $6.75 for the filter, $38.50 for 5 quarts of premium oil ($7.70 a quart), Labor: $24.70 ,Inspections of fluids, done, as well as breaks, tire pressure, battery check. All was ok and suggested break fluid should be changed within next two oil changes as color of fluid was indication. Husband thought oil change expensive. Something to think about in next 5000 miles before next oil change. We also used Phyllis for AAA travel arrangements. She is extremely helpful and knowledgable and always gets back to you with your questions. She gets 5 stars! read more

My wife and I decided to stop in at this aaa location to discuss a last minute desire to travel to England. We got no welcome. After we asked on gentleman he said he was busy and went back to his computer. We walked towards the back and were greeted by Doug in Car Care. He went looking for someone in travel. The guy he turned us over to was not helpful at all. Told us to look online. Said there were no longer travel books we could pick up free as members. FRAUD ALERT! Lied to us repeatedly that brakes were "metal on metal" when they were actually only 3 months old. ------ Brought our car in for an oil change. Got a call saying that they "see that we had our back brakes done with another AAA center, but really should have the front done now too." When we asked why, they told us that the brakes were "metal on metal." We knew this was wrong, because we just had them done at another company. We declined the service and when we picked up the car we pressed them on their diagnosis. He repeated that the tech said they were down to "nothing." We asked to speak to the tech. The desk rep went to get him, but came back alone saying that the tech was highly confident (and experienced) and that the brakes are "metal to metal." They stated it in the written report as well and warned us that we were in danger. Confused and concerned at their emphatic claim, we drove the car up the road to the place where we had the brakes done 3 months earlier. The OWNER of the brake shop took us back, pulled everything apart and showed us personally how the front brakes looked. They were PERFECT. He also showed us how easily you can see how new they are from the outside, with an untrained, naked eye. Simply because AAA Indian Land had access to other AAA center records, they decided they'd try to con us out of a new brake job, not knowing we had done them elsewhere. Went there last week to change oil on my truck which all went good. Price was slightly high but service and wait time was good.However they suggested some work to be done on the front end and gave me an estimate for it.Took the truck in this week to have it done since the estimate was reasonable.After they started the work they called and said the amount would be about 40 percent higher.I decided to just get it done and said it would take two or three hours.It took all day to get it done.Good lesson learned,,,always check several places before taking your vehicle in. Good Morning! I was trying to hold back what my last experience with AAA of Indian Land was like a few months ago...it was horrible! I am a widow and everytime I have gone into AAA in Indian Land they have always been nice when they tell me that I need to replace a filter for the inside of my car or my brakes have hit a scale to where I need to get new ones in a month or two. I have not always taken everything they have wanted to sell me and have turned them down quite a lot because of my finances. The morning my daughter dropped me off...I wanted to get my oil changed and was met by a very rude man that came to my car. He acted as if he had no patience or respect for women. Dutch there always has patience when I use to go in. This man did not! I spoke to him and told him I wanted an oil change and my levels of all my fluids "topped off"! Because I was traveling down South. I received a phone call from one of the men "Dutch" telling me that I really needed my inside car filter changed because of covid. I didn't know what the virus had to do with a car filter being changed. But I told him that I could not afford a $34 filter and would return. Then the other rude salesman called and told me that he had noticed that I had been told about the same precautionary repairs like filters and such twice when I had come in before and was I not going to get some of these things done? It is to my decision whether I have the money to get these extra things done when I come in! I felt as if he was trying to Pressure Me into buying and getting some of this work done so he could make a sale! I told him I just cam in and I didn't have the money for that, I just wanted an oil change! I told him I was sorry but could not afford it...it really made him mad. I asked him if he had filled up my fluids and he said no! I told him that I had made a request for an oil change and fluids filled up. He acted as if he was put out to go and do my request! I have not returned to this AAA Auto Center to spend my money and have told everyone who I have come in contact with to go to Meineke because the people are so nice and will not pressure you to have extra things done when you don't have the money! 1 star because NO STARS is not an option. Wife went in today (7-18-18) for a simple oil change. They looked the car over and gave her a list of services which they claimed needed to be performed totalling over $365. Background on vehicle Late model (ACURA CERTIFIED) Acura RDX, with 65K miles, purchased with 60K miles in Feburary '18 from very reputable local Acura dealer. Wife called me from AAA to say the transmission fluid was contaminated and burned. Also listed several other 60K mile maintenance schedule items they claimed the car needed. I said, and she agreed, decline and just get the oil changed. Now comes the next stage of the screw job. Wife got home with the following charges. 5 quarts Valvoline MaxLife synthetic blend 'high mileage' oil $38.50 ($22.99 retail)('high mileage' is 75K or more, not 65K) Oil filter $6.75 ($3-5 retail) Oil additive to reduce sludge and extend oil life to 6-7K miles $21.99 (unnecessary, Valvoline recommends service interval, WITHOUT AN ADDITIVE, of 7,500 to 10,000 for this oil). Devious sales practice and a lie. Labor $24.70 (unreasonable) Total $91.94 but they only charged $82.84 after our 'AAA member discounts'. So generous. That's right folks, $82.84 for an oil change. Beware if you are like my wife was this morning. Educate yourself. I WILL PUSH MY VEHICLES TO AN HONEST MECHANIC BEFORE I DRIVE TO THE AAA CAR CARE CENTER. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! read more
