If we could give more than 5 stars we would. We had 8 windows replaced. We received quotes from Woodland and Costco's local company for Marvin Infinity windows. All things considered related to services provided, Woodland was the best value. Their service was beyond expectations. The crew that removed and installed our windows were excellent. They put tarps done in the areas they worked to protect our floors. Our house is nearly forty years old. They inspected the framing structure and confirmed it was solid and no deterioration. They were thorough in their clean up, so much so, the only way we knew they had been there was we had new windows. We ended up referring to them as the "window fairies." The installations met and exceed expectations The inside and outside trim work was excellent. The windows function flawlessly. We are fans of Woodland Windows! read more

This post is way overdue, my apologies! We had 9 windows replaced this past summer with Marvin windows. Our previous posting was about miscommunication, and lack of, that resulted in major inconveniences, long completion delay, and partial redo. The reason for this follow up posting is to report that the Woodland team was responsive and accountable for their unusual error, and did care take care of all the issues to our satisfaction. We would definitely recommend, without hesitation, this reputable company in-spite of the frustrating hiccups we experienced. They stand behind their work and seem to strive for perfection. We had a great experience with Woodland. We had a complicated patio door that we needed replaced, and Woodland was the only company that could match our door requirements (size, windows, and paint colors), and be able to stain the new wood framing to match the other wood in the room. We got quotes from over 10 companies and Woodland was not only the most affordable, but didn't have to compromise anything (other companies wanted to shrink in the frame, give us a fiber glass door, or couldn't promise correct staining for crazy high prices). We got the most beautiful real wood door, and the screen is perfect and still allows lots of light to get in. Doors in general are pricey but Woodland was able to get us the best quality and most durable door without cutting any corners (which other companies couldn't do). Installation was quick and easy. It was very easy to communicate and work with Woodland. We're really happy with our new door and the whole process, we highly recommend Woodland! Complete window replacement on our 1963 split-level house. We shopped other companies but ultimately chose Woodland. Our sales rep was zero pressure and understood our price point, balanced with quality and our home's eventual resale value. The showroom allowed us to see life-size windows, same as what we would receive. Installation was quicker than expected (bonus!). Our cinderblock-and-brick house did not make the project easy, but the team did a terrific job for us. Courteous, experienced, clean jobsite, and amazing finished project! Our house looks SO MUCH BETTER and within the first month we cut our cooling expenses almost in half. I bought a couple of times for doors and windows and the install and value were great. My problem is I had a window issue and called Woodland for a service call which they charged $250 before the service man comes to your home. The service guy was really nice and professional. However, He was here for less than 5 minutes and tighten a screw to align my window. I believe this is outrageous and way over charged for the service. I was willing to pay for the call but the guy was here less than 5 minutes and charged $250. What a ripoff on service. read more

Woodland Doors and Windows has just completed replacing every door and window in our house, that's 89 Windows and 6 Doors. Our old Windows and Doors were 30 year old Marvins. We kept the same brand but changed from wood to Aluminum and high efficiency. This was a 4 week long project on a house over 7,000 sq/ft. Our primary installer was Jose who felt like part of the family, except he was cleaner than our kids. From the day my wife and I went into their store and met with the receptionist we knew we were dealing with the right company. I have no worries when Woodland is installing our windows. We love the Marvin fiberglass which has sound insulation especially during a polar vortex. Woodland came to my home for a warranty inspection of my windows on January 31, 2023 with a charge of $250.00. I have not received a report from them, nor has the manufacturer of the inspected windows. I have called them and left messages to ask them why after 7 weeks I have not received the report I paid for, with No returned phone call. Will not be using this company again. read more

I received quotes for a storm door for my gazebo and replacement doors for my patio and garage. After seeing the quote, I asked what the cost would be for only the storm door, which is the greatest need right now. They said they would not do only the storm door installation. They would do it only if I were purchasing additional doors/windows. So if you only need a storm door replaced, I would not give them a call. We used Woodland last year for a sliding glass door and set of windows and was very pleased. Naturally, when we needed a few windows to be done this year, we called them for an estimate. The estimator is friendly enough, but the estimate he gave for the SAME window that we had done last year was 35% higher! When asked why this was the case, he responded 'I have no control over it, I just plug in the numbers, and this is what came out'. He also said that the two sets of windows would only take 6 hours, so their guys would have 'dead labor' for 2 hours, and they have to charge for that. My clients would be horrified if I charged them for 'dead labor' rather than the actual hours work. Based on some recent reviews and our experience, I would say that Woodland (to quote an old corporate term) is 'fat, dumb and happy'. After 9 months of living with our new double hung Marvin windows, I can attest we are very pleased! We have a 1920's tudor for which we needed to replace 12 of the original windows with new ones. The old original windows were so drafty, even with the storm windows. We wanted to keep with the style of the home but with easier cleaning. We also needed all of the window molding and aprons replaced because that's where the drafts were coming from. New installation and not replacement windows. We knew it would be pricey based on wanting to keep with the style of the house but we were so happy we made the right choice in windows. The ability to choose a custom paint color was appreciated as well. The installation team did a fantastic job of preserving as much of the plaster walls around the windows as possible. This was key because we have textured plaster walls and we only had to patch a few corners. I'm pleased to say we were nice and warm all winter long--no more winter air drafts. Added Woodland to our bidder list a few years ago following a neighbor's recommendation. They were the low bid. We signed with them for ~60% of our windows, and they did a great job. Professional, clean, quality workmanship. Bid out my office windows a couple years ago, went with a lower bid (than Woodland), and kicked myself afterward. (Luckily we're buying Marvin Ultimate, and the product quality is good.) Learned my lesson and didn't bother bidding out when we replaced the rest of our windows. Very professional outfit. The process is low stress from the first sales call to the last worker leaving. Workmanship is top notch. The workers clean up thoroughly and are extremely friendly. You will pay a small premium to use Woodland over many other installers but you get your money's worth. One of the products they installed for me was a new fiberglass door. They painted it in a custom color at their shop and the finish is flawless. Their caulking matches well and is very cleanly done. They also installed a flashing membrane below the sill, which is a detail that demonstrates the quality of their work. Two very minor critiques, which are more just lessons learned than problems with Woodland: 1. The aluminum brake metal trim is not an exact match in color to the aluminum color on the Marvin window. You won't notice it when you stand back but I notice it when I'm close up. I work in the construction industry with architects and clients who definitely notice these sorts of details so I'm admittedly a bit sensitive to this kind of thing. My wife, on the other hand, didn't notice it and it doesn't bother her even after I pointed it out. It's not that big a deal. I'm going to guess that if you insist on a custom match, Woodland can do it for an extra cost and maybe with a little longer lead time. 2. They used a fairly rough quality pine trim and stool around the interior of the windows. There are quite a few knots in the trim. All this means is that I need to use a shellac based primer at the knots before priming & painting the trim so that the sap in the knots doesn't bleed through the latex paint. Again, not a huge deal but in the future I'll specifically request poplar or oak and skip the extra step. Overall, I'm very pleased and would recommend Woodland to anyone. read more

I should have reviewed this place a long time ago -- we had them replace a number of the windows in our last house and they were nothing short of fantastic. Other window contractors were into the big-push, heavy-pressure selling sort of thing (one even called me today, 2 years later, thus reminding me to write this review). Woodland, on the other hand, was nothing but helpful and their prices were reasonable -- there was no gimmicky incentive to get us to buy right away, etc. etc. The installers were awesome too -- they did a good job, quick and easy. Moreover, and this is important, they were full-time, actual employees of Woodland and not some 3rd party sub-contractor so you knew they had their reputation on the line with every install... and it showed. read more

Set an appointment for an estimate two weeks ago. Took off work and had my wife arrange her other appointments to ensure availability. No one showed no one called. I called in and was told I could set another appointment on a day I had no availability and that I should have called when I did not receive a verification e-mail of the appointment. When I asked how I would know to anticipate an e-mail my questions was met with silence. Had a great experience in the past. This appears to match other recent experiences posted here and on other sites. I assume if this execution is now lacking the other segments of he business probably align. I had purchased windows from Woodland previously and found them to be knowledgeable and competent, price was decent. I went in to the showroom with my wife last Friday to see what our options for replacing the entryway to our home would be. Salesperson was not very helpful and was trying to push a lower cost product. After expressing our preferences and being told that our choices were extremely limited, told her to ignore the most limiting of the preferences. She couldn't seem to let go. Finally she left us alone and another salesperson came by five minutes later. I had a competitor come to the house this morning and provide an estimate for the same doors and sidelites we were looking at. Normally I would try to get multiple estimates from qualified firms, but not this time. Sad, Woodland used to be better. read more

We purchased a door from woodland 7 years ago. We were good paying a premium for the door as we thought we would get a product they would stand by. We had a 10 year warranty on the finish but it just didn't stand up and started turning from brown to a green hue a few years ago. We reached out to have it addressed; however, they were uninterested in helping. The staff was horrible at returning calls or emails and was even dismissive there was even a problem. We tried to follow up on the issue with them a multitude of times and even escalated to managers. After a few dozen emails, they reached out to a technician. The technician called us back several months after we reported the problem only to say it wasn't covered under the warranty because we did not lacquer the door each year. We were very disappointed in the experience and would not recommend dealing with them. I have a family member, who is also a contractor, that will no longer purchase products from them because of this experience. read more

Had two patio doors installed on Thursday. There is a large piece of trim/door frame that sits higher than the threshold. It is bare oak, not finished, it looks like someone just stuck it on there. We tripped over it a couple time. Also, there is a door stopper that was not adhered to the frame so it bounced out a few times and the 2nd door we could not open. We had a service guy out today (2nd time off work) and he adjusted the door that would not open and glued the door stop. While adjusting the door, he made me feel like an idiot for wanting a door that was easy to open. He said there was nothing he could do about the door frame, but I should call and set up another appointment to get it fixed (in this case painted) because he had to go. Very poor service on the service tech. He would not even call his own shop to get someone on the phone to take care of a customer. Not very good service and not looking to take more time off work to get this done right. read more

Couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. My condo board chose Woodland to replace the windows in our building. They had been onsite for three weeks before "my turn" and during that three weeks I was pleased with the way they kept common areas clean and tidy during the install. The week before my install I received an informative note advising what prep I needed to do to clear areas. It was comprehensive and very helpful. The night before the install I received a call from Woodland reminding me of the install and asking if I had any questions. Day 1 of the install Jeff and team arrived. Jeff introduced himself, asked to come in and get the lay of the land. He explained the two day process to me and began preparing my unit by putting down plenty of drop cloths and even helping me with a couple of window brackets I had trouble trying to remove. The installers were here for two days and I can't say enough on how polite, professional and thorough they were. Woodland installed 2 Marvin windows and 1 Marvin sliding patio door this past December. It was a fiasco starting with the installation. The installers got to my condo and told me we would have to reschedule because the installation was not going to be possible. (they were upset that they could not pull the truck up to the building) The installers called the home office and long story short, after letting out their frustrations on me, the installation started 1 hour after schedule. Second bad experience was with customer service. The installers did not install a lock on the sliding door (I didn't realize this until after they left). I took a second day off work to wait for a service technician to come. Two days before the appt, Karyn at Woodland, told me that they would have to reschedule my appt because it was going to be too cold outside. The lack of a lock was a security issue so I was very upset. Finally, after a couple hours, she called back and told me that the appt would stand. Third bad experience was again with customer service. After the first service appt, I realized that although the door locked, there was a major draft. I again called Karyn and she acted like we had never spoken before. (Not only that, but she was rude, acting defensive and kept interrupting me when I was talking.) I set up another appt and took a third day off work to wait for the service technician to come again. When he arrived he confirmed that indeed there was a draft but that he couldn't fix it. Marvin, the dealer, would have to fix it because it was a product defect. He was going to submit the papers and someone would call me to set up an appt. (If you're keeping tally, this is now 4 days off work) Fast forward to a few weeks and no call. For the third time I called Karyn and low and behold, there was no record that someone was suppose to contact Marvin or me. After a few hours, Marvin received a service order and called to schedule an appt. Marvin came out this week and they were above and beyond so much more pleasant to work with. They confirmed that the draft issue was not a Marvin product defect, rather an installation issue. There were screws missing and the door was not leveled. They fixed the issue and told me to contact them directly in the future. This is not my first time replacing windows in my condo. I used another company before to replace two other windows with Marvin but I decided not to use them for this round of window replacements because their price point was higher. I regret not paying more because the cheaper price Woodland offer does not compare with the headache and time off work I have had to endure. I guess I got what I paid for. UPDATE: 7/28/14 I noticed that the company left a comment on my review to contact them to fix my concern. The company's reply was a year after I left my review... one year too late. There are no issues to fix because 4 appointments later it was finally fixed, as stated in my review. My ratings and thoughts still stand as it was based on my overall experience and your company's plug on my review is not appreciated. read more

i wish i could write a stellar review of this place, after dropping $$$$$ on a front door and storm door, but i just can't. the door style is beautiful, but we had them "stain" it to match a piece of wood trim that we would like to eventually use in our home. while in matches, i feel the "stain" job is EXTREMELY poor. i feel like it was painted in a hurry. it's not smooth at all and does not look consistent. maybe it is my fault because i had different expectations of the door's outcome, but this was NOT it. it looks incredibly beautiful from far away, just not up close. i would say if you decide to go with this place, make sure you are 100% sure of what the final product will look like. we are so disappointed, and probably wouldn't be so upset if it weren't so expensive and felt like we wasted our money. we waited nearly 3 months for this door, and it was such a let-down. the storm door and casing are great though, and we are very pleased with those, which is why i gave it an extra star. read more

My new garage windows are very nice and they should be for the price I paid. They are a definite improvement over the old windows. Installer was on time and did nice work, but I found four screws/nails on my garage floor while cleaning up after the work, which is something I would not expect on my garage floor. Glad I found them before my tires did... I waited almost four months for these windows, and they were not really anything so custom or fancy, so if you don't mind a long wait or the high price, you might consider this company. Just be sure to clean your floors afterwards so you don't have any surprises. read more

We were excited to use Woodland when they presented a professional face and useful informational materials while we shopped for an oddly configured exterior door on our roof deck. Compared to other companies we interviewed, they were professional and knowledgeable. 5 stars on this first meeting. The cost was high (almost 4K) but worth it for the expected quality and service. Then we had to wait almost 10 weeks between our first meeting and the final installation, due to the "custom nature" of our door. This seemed like a long lead time but we were willing to wait, again due to the perceived quality of the product we ordered. Knock off a star for price and wait time. 4 stars. Before the installation date, we were informed the door that arrived from the manufacturer wasn't the door we had ordered. To avoid further delays, they agreed to install it and come back later to replace it when the correct door arrived. The installation team was loud and not optimally professional, with the more experienced installer constantly yelling at the younger guy in pretty disrespectful language at times. At the end of the day they installed a beautiful door that worked great for us, but wasn't the door we ordered. At the end of this we sat around 3.5 stars. Then the fun really began. When our "proper" door finally arrived, the worker came to install it and was unfamiliar with the hardware he needed. He asked to use some of our tools, and ultimately cracked the new door as he tried to install it. He had to replace the first door, now with damaged and scuffed hinges from his unskilled removal. So we lost another work day waiting for a second installation, only to have the wrong (and now scuffed) door still in place. 1 star. Overall, the customer service and sales team are great, but the process was expensive, lengthy, and the installation was a mess. On average I would give 2.5 stars, but given that the other door installation crew we used (before we found Woodland) was ten times worse, I'm rounding up to 3. They did give us a few hundred bucks back for our trouble. And the door (even though it wasn't the exact one we ordered) really is terrific. read more

I hired Woodland Windows and Doors to replace a sliding door in my dining room. They came out and gave me a quote and then had me come into their showroom to see the actual finished product. I hired them, selected the trim and from then on they took care of everything. Although it took a while to get the window installed, I am very pleased with both the product and the service. The installation was clean and professional and the finished product is beautiful. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of five is they are extremely pricey.
