If I could give a negative 5 stars, I would!! What a fraudulent office this is!!! I'm definitely reporting them to the TDB! They knowingly double charged my mother and when we called to tell them about it, we were called liars and were not allowed to talk. Shawnda is the billing lady, and let me just say I've never been treated so badly!! The receptionist was so horrible she made us feel like criminals and denying the over charges. I got hung up on by Shawnda and the receptionist. They would not let me speak to a manager, just kept talking over me louder and louder until I became so angry they hung up on me. I have been going to this dentist for about 20 years and today was my last visit. I took X-rays then waited 30 mins for a teeth cleaning. My appt was at 2. I wasn't seen until 3 after being told it would be a 10 minute wait. I also asked the dentist about the clicking in my jaw. She offered nothing, looked in my mouth, asked if I had ever worn braces and that was it. This place will no longer get mine or my insurance's money. Unimpressed. read more

LESS THAN 1 STAR FOR HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Receptionist that answers the phone is RUDE. She sounded miserable. I made a last minute appointment (less than 24 hrs. before the appointment) for tooth pain for my daughter & last night she told me she had a test she could not miss. The office don't open till 9am, so I call to cancel and wanted to reschedule and she tells me (FOR THE 1ST TIME, I was NOT notified of a cancellation fee when I set up the appointment.) that I now owe $25 for cancelling the appointment. By far the worst dentist office I've been to. The front desk staff is dismissive and rude. They talk down to patients and are not happy if you dare to have a question and interrupt them from texting. They totally nickel and dime your insurance by making you come in for an examination one day and a cleaning another day. I've been going to the dentist every 6 months my entire life and I leave their office with $2,000 worth of suggested work. I take their advice on replacing an old filling to get a crown. My temp crown broke multiple times then when my actual crown came in, they dropped it on the floor, picked it up, blew on it and tried to put it in my mouth. Seriously. I obviously did not allow that to happens, followed through on the newly ordered crown and changed dentists IMMEDIATELY. My current dentist commented on what a horrible crown it was (it's just a blob, not tooth shaped) and two years later it's already come off. Oh and it's a "training" office and some of the staff "do not like training dumb people" as they so casually chatted about over my crown. Then sent this trainee in to finish my visit. And did I mention, that crown popped out and later broke?? HORRIBLE!! TERRIBLE. It's owned by a dentist that isn't there. My guess is it's like a hair salon and if you can afford to rent a chair, you can practice dental work there. Boo! Two thumbs down and just the worst experience EVER. I made an appointment with them before I read the reviews. After I read the reviews, I was a little hesitant but after the appointment I was very pleased with everyone at this place. Very nice and welcoming people and Dr. Hamburg is hilarious. He makes you feel comfortable is an otherwise very uncomfortable situation(pulling teeth). Rude & did not even file with my insurance!!! Absolutely AWFUL. The office staff is incredibly rude and condescending, over the phone and in person. Beyond that, it gets even worse. As I was checking out at the end of my first appointment, I was asked "when do you want to come in for the fillings?" I replied "what fillings?" and she said "for the cavities he found." Apparently, the dentist had discovered seven cavities which needed filling but decided not to communicate that to me. When I told the receptionist that it was not clearly communicated by the doctor that my teeth were in that bad of shape, she chuckled and said "yeah" as she rolled her eyes. Since they were asking for ~$2,500 in work, I told them I would consult my husband and get back to them. I decided to get a second opinion, so I came back to request my records. They told me that I had to fill out a form and pay them $25, then they would "forward that to corporate office" and get back to me within 30 days. I asked them if I could simply have them emailed because I was having them sent to another office, to which they replied "yeah, you can write an email address on there, but we still have to send it to corporate and get back to you. It'll be about 30 days." That is absurd. They also still wanted $25 simply to email them to me and said "every office does that", which is a bold-faced lie. I have NEVER had a dentist charge me to have my records forwarded to another office. Then, per lawyer advice, I contacted my insurance to assist with the records transfer. When my insurance called them, the office put them on hold and then came back after a while and simply hung up on them. Twice. My insurance informed me that Woodlands Dental Care never even filed a claim with them. This is some SNEAKY business. I am guessing they are refusing to release my records because my records do not even exist... they appear to be pocketing money without filing claims with insurance companies, and then recommending unnecessary work in order to pocket more cash. Even furthermore, I cannot find evidence that Mark Zubick is still a licensed dentist. His license is posted as not renewed in 2008 in North Carolina, and he is not listed as licensed in the state of Texas. We will be filing a formal complaint to have this investigated, since it is suspicious that the office staff calls him the "primary dentist" but he is listed nowhere in affiliation with the office. Dr. Hamburg was nowhere to be found, despite being listed as the primary doctor onsite. read more

This was the worst experience, I feel so bad for my son who is now traumatized. They started the procedure before I got there while my husband was in another room with our daughter. They billed us $375 for conscious sedation and Nitrous when I know for a face the only thing he received was one valium that we got from the pharmacy and my husband gave to him before his appointment. I walked in to my son cry, screaming and trying to fight them off of him while they didn't even attempt to calm him down. I have filed a complaint with our insurance and will also file with the medical board and texas dental association. They deserve NO stars! read more

Much the same as the previous person posted. They were rough, hurt my gums, drown me with water not once, not twice but 3 times. I believe they drilled into a nerve and then proceeded to fill it anyway but I've been in excruciating pain since I left there. The Novocaine wore off my teeth long before my nose, face and eye stopped drooping from it. IMO he didn't put it in the right place because several times during the procedures, I could feel pain. I have never had that happen before. The dentist sent me on a wild goose chase for an OTC medication for pain that no one carries. When I called back to request pain medication, I was told this dr isn't in the office on Thursday or Friday and he'd be the only one who could help me with this. I cancelled the follow up appointment I had to get the rest of the work done. I will not go back there ever ever again!!!!! read more

I am very very dissatisfied with tthe care and the outcome of the highly priced service that I paid for! I paid in full for a new set of denture and the fitting of these new dentures. After 10 weeks of patience and discomfort I got aggravated and very dissatisfied. Plus the rude, disrespectful, and uncaring attitude of Dr. Rouse. I have requested the return of my money for my teeth that I still can not use or wear. Why should I pay for something and not be able to use it. If the doctor would have choose to look out for what was best for the patient no he did not he was out for his self no one else but his on benefits an ultimately took my entire life an forced me to ultimately become the kid that had no front teeth well people I was on medicade there for the doctor knew that in a year I wouldn't be able to afford to come in for regular cleaning cause once your 17 I believe the state will no-long pay for your dental problems well I complained the next fiat cause there was a hole in the bridge I know cause I could suck my saliva throw my gum an my bridge so that made me very worried cause if the bridge is not 100 percent sealed from any bacteria that it's a ticking tomb bomb cause you want be able to tell if the teeth or rotting cause you have a cap over the teeth right so people I had no choose but to tough it out well rigging it out in reality was impossible I had nightmares of the day that it would come out an low an behold I was eating an click that all I Hurd then I blanked out well people I was so mad an so hurt an so ashamed I was Beyondit all so in the momentous rage I spit out what I was eating cause I was sort of mad at the smokers ice cream bar. I don't know why it's taken me this long to write a review on here, but the world needs to know how unprofessional this dental facility is. I can't speak for every dentist and hygienist that works here, but the few that I interacted with were pretty terrible. I went in the first time because one of my fillings had come out and I needed it fixed. They ended up having to put a crown on that tooth. The first time they took the mold of the tooth, they did the wrong side of my mouth (seriously?). They got the crown in, and called me in to fit it and place it. They had to shave it down a little bit, and ended up taking too much off (it would have broken in less than a year). They had to make another mold and order a whole new crown (thankfully they covered the cost of the extras so I didn't have to pay). They also told me I needed 10 other fillings done and took care of 5 at one of my appointments. They drilled too far into one of my teeth, exposing the nerve (didn't notice), and filled it. I've been having so many problems with that tooth, went to a different dentist, and she told me what happened. She had to drill out the old filling, use 3 different gels to put a cushion between my nerve ending and the new filling. I had to pay over $100 for all of this just because Woodlands Dental Care screwed up the first time. Not to mention, my new dentist says I don't need as many fillings as Woodlands Dental said I did (they just wanted money, in my opinion). During the procedures at Woodlands Dental, they were not very gentle AT ALL with my mouth. Poked my gums way too many times with the pointy tools they use to clean teeth, left the suction tool in my mouth when they walked away which ended up sliding to the back of my throat and gagging me, didn't suction enough one time and nearly drowned me with the water, would reach across my face a lot and never notice that their sleeves were all over my face, talked bad about other people working in the office and would talk about what they wanted to eat for lunch during my afternoon appointments (don't want to hear that). Very unprofessional, half the time acted like they weren't sure what they were doing. My recommendation...DON'T GO HERE. I never write yelp reviews unless someone is exceptionally good or extremely bad. This facility deserves my bad review after my experience there. read more

Not only do they cancel appointments literally when you're in the office waiting to be called back and then suddenly "they can no longer fit you in" they also make you split your visits up... one day is an exam, the next appointment is a cleaning. Seriously ridiculous. I only went in for a basic check up and a teeth cleaning, but they were great to me. Dr. Spano was very nice, and the dental hygienist even stayed late to clean my teeth. The only problem I had is the tech who took my x-rays was extremely rude. Overall I think I would go to see them again. read more

Well let's start by saying my review is not going to help Woodlands Dental Care 1.5 star rating! Wow, wish I had seen this before I entrusted my dental health care to this organization! It is deplorable that they continue to get these reviews and do not even respond to them or strive to improve. That speaks volumes. Where to start. Well I have to say firstly that DR CATE is a professional and gentle dentist and hygenist Natasha is wonderful. I would certainly give them higher ratings individually than the one-star for the business. That's where the good news ends. The office is grubby and the front desk staff is curt and unwelcoming and ever-changing. The exam rooms are shabby and in need of updating/improving. On one visit my poor dentist had to do an exam with a flashlight...true story. Another time my son was having a cleaning and prior asked the front desk staff if they had toothpaste and they said no. A dental office with no toothpaste? The kicker was being charged $1600 for two crowns that I NEVER had done and and am still waiting for a refund for. The charge was on May 27th and it is now mid August. I have spoken to numerous staff and the issue has not been resolved. I'm still waiting for the promised call back from Rachel.(office manager?) Money for services not rendered, not being returned immediately is unacceptable. I am disappointed by the lack of professionalism and level of care offered to patients who have been going to the practice for almost 4 years! We gave it a chance and tried to overlook all of the negatives because of a good and compotent dentist and hygenist, but the management and operations are just too shady and unprofessional. First impression when you walk in the door is the staff, the office help is no help! Very rude and as for me that is all you need to know. If the staff is allowed to treat their customers this way then it makes no difference about the Dentist. On 2 different occasions I tried to get either a copy of charges (3 calls & still no statement) & then 3 calls to have someone call me back in regards to a tooth extraction. Needless to say, I'm pulling my business from them and will find other sites to post my review as well! Nothing worse then paying someone my hard earned money and receive the worst customer service. I am not one to get online and post a review about companies, because I believe that my opinion is mine and mine alone. However, I decided to post a review on this company for one simple reason and that is I believe that they are over price and dishonest about the work that is required. I went to see them on Monday 09/17/18 because I had a bad tooth that I felt needed to be pulled. I meet with Dr. Allen Hamburg who was very pleasant. They had x-rays done and came back with two possible options. First option was to have a root canal done and with my insurance would cost me around 1000.00 out of pocket. The second option was to pull the tooth and would be classified as a surgical removal that would require bone replacement. The cost for me with insurance would be 425.00. Dr. Hamburg stated that he would recommend the root canal to save the tooth and prevent the tooth above from falling and causing more problems down the road. Now his recommendation sounded logical, however the price had me a little shocked. I asked them to give me a moment to speak with my wife about our options. My wife called our dentist who we have been going to for years but now did not take our insurance and asked them who much it would cost to extract my tooth and they quoted us 300 for a difficult tooth that needed surgical removal. See this was the part that confirmed something is not right. I looked at the break down they were charging us around 800.00 to pull the tooth and my insurance was covering around 375.00. So why is it that one dentist is charging almost double what another is. I left and figured it was cheaper to have the work done at the dentist I trust to do the work. Interesting enough when I got to my dentist he took his own x-rays and provided me with his options. He stated that there was only one option for me and that was to pull it. He said the tooth was cracked down the middle so bad that a root canal would not take and it would just break resulting in having to pull the tooth. Wow when you have an ethical dentist they will not lie to you and over charge you. He removed my tooth that day and it cost me for the exam, x-rays, and surgical extraction only 395.00 without insurance. Maybe it was a matter of opinion that my dentist did not believe that my tooth could have a root canal and Dr. Hamburg felt it would work. I can accept that one opinion over another but it leads me to believe that the recommendation is more than one poor opinion. One tends to believe that it is more greed driven to over charge a customer and his insurance for work that will not work. It seems shady to me that it will cost 800 at one dentist and 395 at another. Well there is my review. I will never go back to them. Oh one other thing I thought was strange was the fact that they require you to put a credit card on file with them so they can charge you 25.00 for any cancellations that are less than 24 hours of your appointment. I understand the fee but not comfortable giving you my credit card number so you can keep in my file to charge me anytime you feel the need. read more

Her,e it is 8 months after we left them because of how ignorant and rude they were, and we are still getting bills in the mail. When I called the business office, they said that the office didn't even file our claim until a few months after my husbands exam! Worst experience ever!! They used to have a great Dr. and hygienist but they left. The office has horrible communication. The assistant, Dr and receptionist couldn't agree as to why my daughter had the appointment. Depending on who was talking her treatment ranged between 1 extraction, 2 extractions or extracting her wisdom teeth. The insurance, Dr and I knew the appointment was for 2 extractions but since the front office only said 1 was approved that's what was done. I need to take her back and waste another day so the other tooth can be extracted. At least nobody listened to the assistant and removed her wisdom teeth which aren't even erupted. My daughter knew her teeth #s since she herself is a recent certified dental assistant (HS senior) and the assistant kept saying the wrong #s the entire visit. The receptionist or "office manager" is sooo rude as if we are bothering here. She is very dismissive and condescending towards all the patients. I have been coming here for years and she is getting worse with time. i believe her time has come to leave the office if she is so jaded and doesn't have any customer service skills. I used to recommend co-workers to go there since we had the same insurance but I will no longer recommend them. I went to this dental office back in 2000, which was 6 years ago, all of a sudden i just got a bill for $25.00 from them. They said i missed an appointment and the bill wasn't going away. I was paid up and haven't heard from them in 6 years. I didn't like going there in the beginning, but i did pay my bill. The office people were not friendly and rush people thru like cattle, kind of like Walmart. One star is too good for them. My first visit with them they left me in a room for 30 minutes and someone came in and said they forgot about me and the entire office went to lunch, so i had to go back to the waiting room where they had me wait an hour or two and rescheduled me for 1:00 or 1:30then we started all over again. But my big complaint right now is them sending me a rouge bill out of nowhere just to line their pockets. read more

I'll start with the positive. Dr. Scott is one of the nicest dentists I've ever had. Good personality, honest and makes the experience of going to the dentist a pleasant one. I've seen him twice and both times he has been great. The hygienist that cleaned my teeth, Natasha, did a good job and is also very nice. In my experience (been going there 5 years now) the office is run a bit like fast food dentistry. You have to be very specific about wanting a cleaning AND an exam on the same day, otherwise, you come in for your cleaning and you have to wait several weeks to book your exam. That doesn't make sense to me. Why would I want to go to the dentist for an exam and NOT get a cleaning. That's the whole point of preventative maintenance. Anyway, getting an appointment with them is difficult too at times. Sometimes the wait can be as long as 6 weeks. So, at the end of the day, they are just OK. Not sure I would go there if our insurance didn't require us to. read more
