After I was told the salon did not have the exact shade from my reference photo, an employee selected what he said was the closest match. As soon as the polish was applied, I immediately said it looked purple/pink, not the bright pink I had requested. I was repeatedly told that it was "pink," despite my concerns that it did not resemble the color I came in for. I made a phone call because I genuinely wanted a second opinion to make sure I wasn't imagining the difference. After confirming that the color was not what I wanted, I decided I no longer wanted the polish. That decision was based on the final result, not because I suddenly "changed my mind." It's also unfair to suggest that your shop closing during my appointment was somehow my responsibility. Before coming in, I called and let the salon know I was on my way. Parking is free on weekends so there was ample space. When I arrived they were busy but I was greeted and welcomed immediately. Ryan even took a moment to ask what I wanted and got me set up shortly with another lady just to do the base colors. I didn't mind it as it helps expedite the process. Ryan was promptly ready to do the design right as we finished the base coat. He was absolutely amazing. Did such a good job replicating my inspo pic. I've had about 20 pedicures here over a 2 year period. The place is clean and the technicians are skilled. However, their exfoliation has always been poor. Even when I paid extra for what they call "callus removal," it has typically been sub par. Today, they did not use the pumice stone at all. When I asked about it, they wanted extra for doing it though exfoliation is part of a basic pedicure. Begrudgingly and at the direction of the salon owners, the pedicurist took a few swipes at my heel as though she was doing me a huge favor. No thanks. read more

nails were shaped irregularly- steeply angled on one side and squared on the other on the same nail. polish applied irregularly with parts of the nails completely without color. I mentioned early on that I had limited mobility in my right arm due to an injury and yet she did not accommodate by moving her stool to that side of the chair- instead she kept having me reach my hand across to the opposite side despite my telling her it was causing pain and my requests for her to sit on the right side instead of the left. After the third time, I've come to realize this isn't the place for me or my daughter. Our first visit was extremely disappointing. I was asked to come back to fix our nails. I came in and my nails were amazing. My daughter came home from college and as she didn't have time to get her nails fixed, I took her back to have the salon fix them as they had asked for the opportunity to make things right. She decided she just wanted to take them off and that was done poorly. Her nails were not filed so all different lengths or buffed. I wanted a gel manicure and this was the first time I've ended my appointment in the middle due to how poorly my nails were being done. I didn't have them painted and yet when I said we were leaving, we were still charged for both of our nails. This is a lesson learned and I'll be going back to my usual place. My daughter will also go back to her usual place. I will say that Min does a great job. If I could go to her every time and they offered a larger color selection, I would go back. read more

I've been trying to find a new nail place since the one I used to go religiously closed during the pandemic then I had a series of unfortunate events after that. Today was my first time at Woodminster Nails and I couldn't be happier. Min, who did my nails, talked me through everything. She did my round nails, pedicure and even an eyebrow wax that I needed that was long over due. She was very efficient and super friendly. In my hour and a half there, I noticed how busy it gets so definitely make an appointment. I was lucky that they were able to take me right away! Also, there's a lot of parking so you don't need to worry about finding a spot just make sure you pay for street parking since the meter maid patrols the area. My go to nail place! I usually make an appointment the day of and it hasn't been a problem. When I'm there I do see some walk-ins and they are honest about the 20-30 minute waits (or if they are booked). Lots of regulars. It's a convenient location for me - but you do have to pay for parking till 6:00pm. I get a pedicure and the spa massage chairs are comfortable. I have tried NUMEROUS times to give this place a shot since it's nearby my house but if you value your time I CANNOT recommend this place. Every time I come I watch people get taken after me and leave before me. Here are a few examples of bad experiences Ive had. All of these times I've had appointments. 1) A new woman started and did my dip nails completely wrong another woman working here saw it and had to stop the woman who was currently doing my nails, and start over. 2) Someone came in as a walk in (I had an appointment and was in the middle of my service) while I was getting my nails done, the person who was doing my nails left me to do hers then came back to me after the walk ins service was done. (30-45mins later) 3) I sat in my chair waiting to be helped they started taking off my old gel then stopped to take care of someone else, it ended up taking so long the cotton balls that were once soaked in alcohol were dry, hard, & stuck to my nails. 4) A woman arrived about 15mins after me, she was done with her pedicure and manicure & paid in the same amount of time it took me to just have my pedicure completed. I visited Woodminister nails for my birthday on March 3rd. I received the most basic poorly shaped nails. I paid $75 and I tipped. (Last photo). My sister shaped and added designs to them because they weren't very good.(middle photo). Today I came for a fill. There was no reshaping required.(first pic) He (Ryan) then proceed to charge me $75. I told him that's what I paid last time for a full set. Today was just a fill. He replied, "well I had to do more work because of the length and style" I was so confused. All I received was a fill. Which requires less work and product. No new tips or anything. He then claimed to have done my design the last time. I told him I had to have the nails designed and reshaped else where. His co worker then told me that we don't disclose prices. Our customers never ask. That was also not true because the women who did my pedicure allowed me to choose from a menu of prices for my service. I watched them do a full set plus design on someone else and they paid less. Ryan and Min are the new owners of this shop and they are hard workers, friendly and keep the place clean. I was a bit hesitant to let Min work on my ingrown toenails as I am used to the previous owner doing my toes, but I've been here twice since they took over and they are attentive. So far so good as it always takes an adjustment to get used to a new routine. They even have a machine in front which will keep track of your visits rather than a punch out card. I highly recommend Woodminster Nails! I went in on a Saturday morning - no appointment needed. I got dip on my natural nails. My nails are challenging - they are what they call in the biz "baby nails, so cute!". I showed Min a picture for inspiration and she made it happen. The inspiration picture was airbrushed - but because of my tiny nails, she had to improvise and paint them one by one with a tiny applicator. The dip is very thin - not chunky and bulky like I've had in the past. They took their time to make my nails perfect. I will be back. This was my first time visiting this salon. It definitely hit a lot of marks. The pricing is listed so no surprise fees. It's super clean and cute. I went on a Monday around 4 and there were not many people in there. I could easily see this place packed on a weekend. I don't like to leave bad reviews for a small business but there were multiple issues. My friend treated me to a mani pedi for my birthday and she got hers done as well. We had an appointment and that went smoothly but while we were there the phone was ringing like crazy and nobody picked up. Then a lady came in stating she had been trying to call for an hour because she was running late for her appt and she was STEAMED that nobody was answering the phone. They told her they were booked up and couldn't do anything for her so she left and it didn't look like she was planning on ever coming back. My friend took a while to pick a nail color and the manicurist (younger lady w blond streaks) actually yelled at her for not choosing a color. Then the lady doing my friends pedicure drops on her that she needs to leave and go pick up her kid and asked if she could wait 30 minutes for her manicure. We both felt like that should have been mentioned up front. The lady doing my pedicure went kinda crazy with the nippers and both of my big toes were bleeding a bit. That worries me because I'm diabetic and have to be careful w my feet. The worst for me was when my friend went outside for a minute because she was waiting for her manicurist to come back. The same lady that yelled at her for not choosing a color did my fingernails and she made a crack about how my friends voice reminded her of a baby or a little girl. I was like WTF? Is she expecting me to agree with her and talk behind my friend's back? I thought that was really messed up and unprofessional! Not only that but I had bubbles in my manicure, leftover polish on my fingers and one of my toes ended up smudged which I am now stuck with since I got gel for both. This was a place i enjoyed coming to buuuut not anymore. Tried to demand a $50 deposit over the phone which was extremely unheard of at nail shops. Accused me of being a no show...I've been to this place multiple times with my family , recommended this business to multiple people. Weird ..and rude energy i don't play like that when it comes to any service i get. Go at your own discretion but be aware of randomly being asked to give a deposit.
