Two years ago this place burned to the ground in a devastating fire during a dry spell and a day with high winds which made for a dramatic response from fire department all over to fight the flames. We met friends here in Troy, because it was half way in between where we are staying and where they live. The restaurant is in a pretty area right off the golf course. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We were greeted and served with efficiency, a smile and good humor. Three of us ordered the meatloaf special and one of us ordered the salmon rice bowl. Everyone enjoyed their food, except the salmon was definitely over cooked. Even so, it had a good flavor. The portions are generous, as well. It was fairly busy on a Thursday night at 6:30. There was a large party outside and luckily our server gave us a heads up that we might want to order before the big group. We did and got our food in a reasonable amount of time. Since we were celebrating a birthday, a free dessert was offered. Even though we were all full, we decided on the mousse bomb to share...was it ever good! Very light, cool and fluffy. This new event space was well lit, spacious and simply gorgeous with a large covered deck overlooking the course! We were seated quickly and well taken care of by staff. We went on a Friday night and the place is right in the middle of a golf course. It is part of the golf club but it is open to the public. This place is REALLY nice inside, but keeps a casual dress code. There is plenty of seating and it was not overly crowded either so it made for a great dinner. It makes for a great place to enjoy friends and family since you can carry on conversation as the place is big and everyone is spread out. There is also a large and beautiful patio to enjoy dinner/drinks on. I got their pizza and my wife got their shrimp tacos and both were fantastic. Soft opening for the rebuilt restaurant. Gorgeous ambiance and cannot wait to enjoy drinks on the amazing patio! Love the bar set up as well. I had the Baja shrimp tacos and will eat those again. Just the right amount of heat! Sweet potato fries were 10/10! Hubby had the meatball sandwich which was a little cool but great portion. He loves Mac and cheese and gives theirs a 6.5/10 which is pretty good. Loved my espresso martini! This is what Troy needs! I hope they keep it up. We took our Mom for brunch on Mother's Day. When you enter the property, you'd never know you were in Troy. The building is gorgeous and spacious--would be great for weddings or large events. The service was ok, I'd prefer servers didn't wear ripped jeans when serving at a golf course. The food was amazing, though I was sad a "waffle station with all the fixings" was advertised which turned out to be premade waffles in a chafing dish and some packets of syrup. The course has a lovely ambience, and the wait staff were all very friendly and attentive. While the food wasn't quite what we hoped for--one chicken dish was overcooked (though it was kindly taken off the bill), and the chicken sandwich had a unique battered bread that wasn't to our taste--we really appreciated the service. With just a few tweaks to the menu, this could easily become a standout dining experience. Would go back for a cocktail on the patio. read more

Dining area is spacious but loud. Everything is of course new and clean since the rebuild. Food and drink menus were nice for a golf course. The service was underwhelming and not very professional (don't bring silverware and napkins tucked under your armpit when bringing the water because you don't want to make 2 trips!). Our rolls brought with the salad were literally still frozen; had to ask for replacement, which came 5 minutes later after our salads were done. Waitress brought one pasta meal without the steak option that was ordered and then tried to tell us that wasn't an option even though it was clearly on the menu. And then they bring an electronic device to pay your bill and stare at you while you're selecting a tip amount and processing your credit card. I guess it's the best you can expect for Troy. read more

A hidden gem in Troy, MO! My husband and I went here for a late lunch today. I had fish tacos and he had the walleye. We were pleasantly surprised when the salad was brought out...crisp, fresh spring greens with slices of cucumber and grape tomatoes and a garlic bread stick. The ranch dressing was freshly prepared and not out of a bottle. We shared it and there was plenty for us both. The walleye was cooked perfectly, as were the hush puppies and mac and cheese. For dessert we had funnel fries with three dipping sauces...caramel, chocolate, and raspberry (The raspberry was delicious and our favorite!). Heather, the manager, came to welcome us, and Avery, and Danielle were excellent servers (attentive but not obtrusive). The value for what we received (food, service, atmosphere) was remarkable! It began as our mid-week break night out for dinner. It was close and as a retired educators we respected a company that hired high school students, but you need enough of them to do the job and you need to train them before you inflict them on the customers. Originally we liked the menu but the offerings weren't consistent and the taste and quality deteriorated quickly. The first time the kitchen failed to prepare what we knew they could and should have, they covered my rear with lipstick and promised it would never happen again. Unfortunately, it did and there were apologies from strangers who made us wonder who was running the operation. the third time it happened with lousy food and service there were supposed to be apologies, but no one responded and like in baseball, that was it, three strikes and our last visit. Best steak in town. Everything from the appetizer (Guac Bits) to the salad and main course was divine. Service is superb. The prices for the quality is better than fair. First time at this restaurant. I Went with my wife and two children. I had the ribeye steak and my wife had the fried chicken. My steak was good, it didn't blow my mind, but it was good. I would order it again. My wife's fried chicken was excellent according to her. It takes 20 min. to make the fried chicken but they print that on the menu so it's known ahead of time. Kids food was very large portions so most of that went home with us. Price is on the higher side for our area, but again, the portions on most of the food I saw were large so I'd say it averaged out. I'd also say it is similar in price to Stefaninas's restaurant in Troy, which is now closed. Overall we will go here again and add it to our list of frequented restaurants. read more

I love this place! It is always very nice and relaxing and the food is amazing. I recently noticed that a dish that I wanted was taken off the menu. I got in touch with manager, Heather, and explained that my grandma is not feeling well and not eating a lot and I was going to take her fried chicken because she will eat that. She having them make it for me ! The fried chicken here rivals that of another restaurant that is famous for fried chicken. The ranch dressing is made in house and they have a variety of very healthy greens in their salad. When I complimented them for not just throwing iceberg on the plate, the manager said that she wanted to make that the salads were tasty and healthy. They also have a few very healthy items on the menu and they are always willing to alter the dish and leave the meat off to make it vegan or work with you on food allergies. They have gluten free pizza and try very hard to accommodate you. And then, the guacamole bites! Did I mention the Margarita's? This place is Yumazing! read more
