And we also had a bowl of bean/ham soup and their chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles. Both soups were totally exquisite, delicious doesn't even describe the soups. My wife and I recently had dinner here on a Saturday evening. The place was only 20% full. She ordered the pork chops. I had the country fried steak. The pork chops had a good flavor, but the country fried steak ,a good portion of it was nothing but breading and it really did not have a good flavor. The buttered corn and the mashed potatoes were almost on the cool side. As for the service, the waitress was tentative and nice. We definitely will not be going back. read more

The food at Olivers is good, not great, but good. Portions are generous and prices are affordable. The ambiance is good and the place is clean. Their salad bar is above average. The problem with Oliver's is the service. I don't know if they suffer from lack of staff or untrained staff. The servers seldom check for drink refills. Food takes and inordinate amount of time to be served and often not complete. For example, I got mashed potatoes without gravy. When I asked my server for gravy it took 10 minutes for her to return. This place has so much potential but their lack of good service will cause their customers to give up on them as a viable dining option. read more

First off, our server Chris, was a hoot. Very attentive and casual with a great sense of humor. Kept our drinks topped off and checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything. The food here is good. I really like their salad bar. The ambiance is good. The service is bad. Very bad and very slow. Service staff need more training. They seldom check for drink refills, they are slow and forget your requests and they disappear for long periods of time. I was really on the fence between three stars and four for this place. This is literally the nicest place around to eat with decent food within a half hour drive. That being said everything in the area is pretty bad. I had Applebee's three times in two weeks. The layout is nice and so is the decor. Everything visually makes you think it's a pretty nice restaurant. However, don't be intimidated. Most everyone I saw was wearing casual clothes, even shorts and tshirts. I sat down and the waitress asked me what I wanted to drink. I asked for a drink menu and she said it didn't exist but they have beer, wine, and liquor. I asked her to tell me the beers they have and she said they have a lot. How can I order a drink without seeing or hearing what you have? I like trying local beers when I go to a new area but this clearly isn't the place to do that. The prices for everything are beyond reasonable. For dinner, you'd have to try pretty hard to make your bill get to $20. I got the bourbon chicken with steamed vegetables and pasta salad. The chicken was good but it was drenched in the bourbon sauce. The pasta salad was good but I got it in the smallest bowl in the world. And the steamed vegetables were pretty hard, not how it should be once steamed. Overall it was an okay experience but given the area and the price, I figured it deserved four stars for being above the local average. read more

Got the turkey panini special that came with a trip to the salad bar. It was pretty good in general. Panini ended up being a little too salty for my liking but it's no big deal. The salad bar came with crispy chicken and even buffalo chicken which highly impressed me. Overall service was really great and I loved the decor to the place. Most of the photos on Yelp are super outdated and inaccurate though because they seem to come from an older location. read more

The service is always great! If they are having the carrot cake it is a must try! And the salad bar was to die for...fresh and above your typical salad bar there is such a variety!! No matter the the time of day our food always comes out in a timely fashion and its hot...we went for lunch and sally i think was her name stayed on top of our table and was very friendly...about 2 weeks later we went for dinner for our anniversary and we had a very nice experience the waitress was offering us dessert they had carrot cake sinners delight and a couple of others desserts and the manager was walking by and heard us talking about the sinners delight cake she came over and said we wouldn't be dissatisfied and she gave us a sample slice so of course it was DELICIOUS!!! So of course since we are partial to the carrot cake we left with a slice of both!!!!! Do not and i repeat DO NOT leave without a slice of either of these desserts!!!! Service was better food.. not so much. the fries were stale and dry the Greek salad had huge chunks of onion and tomato along with being warm to a point of alarming. the decode is nice but the atmosphere is depressing. No music no cheer, you come in happy and become depressed listening to people chewing. This place has every mark of an ownership that has checked out and is no longer trying. This place is AMAZING! I ordered a DJ's burger (fresh ground beef, 4 strips of bacon, two fried eggs and two pieces of cheese) and it was by far the best burger I have had, ever. Ordered 18 wings no sauce and a spring salad dressing on the side as part of a soup salad combo - no one could tell me what the soup was and i had to argue with the order taker who kept telling me i had to make my own salad, it was a specialty salad on the menu not salad bar, and after a few attempts she finally understood what i wanted. Sent my guy up to pick up the order got and charged for 24 wings covered in sauce, no soup no salad... went back in explained the issue, got a salad. No soup no offer for new wings no sauce, salad covered in dressing. Waited 20 minutes longer than qouted and had to go back in for no correction... would not reccomend to anyone. Used to be great, has failed so much recently. So sad to watch potential fail so tragically. We ordered prime rib and we're not sure what we got but it was only about 3/8 of an inch thick and did not have any of the taste of prime rib taste whatsoever.
