I had an outstanding experience at Smile Beautiful Dental here in DC. From the moment I walked in,…read morethe staff made me feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. The front desk team was professional and efficient, and the entire office runs smoothly. Dr. Justin Jones was phenomenal. He took the time to thoroughly explain my treatment plan, answered all of my questions with patience, and made sure I understood every step of the process. What stood out most was his attention to detail and how committed he was to making sure I was comfortable throughout the visit. Dental visits can sometimes feel stressful, but this experience was the complete opposite. The level of care, professionalism, and overall atmosphere exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a dentist in DC who combines expertise with a truly patient-centered approach, I highly recommend Smile Beautiful Dental and Dr. Jones.

Do not let Dr. Dan Jones touch your teeth - you will regret it. Look for dental care elsewhere…read more Dr. Dan Jones touts his years of experience, however the quality of the work that he and the office does is very poor and riddled with errors. He goes to great lengths to deflect and cover up the poor work performed rather than seeking the actual source of the problem and taking appropriate corrective action. Furthermore, he consistently makes unprofessional and disrespectful comments. All-around, a terrible dental office. Stay away.

While the doctor was excellent, the front desk experience--specifically with Mary--was extremely…read moreunprofessional and is the reason for this rating. I received a confirmation call at 3:59 p.m. for an 8:00 a.m. appointment the following morning. I initially confirmed, then immediately reviewed my schedule and realized I could not attend. I called back at 4:01 p.m., but the office was already closed, so I left a voicemail right away to cancel. The next morning around 8:20 a.m., I received a call from Mary, the secretary, that was confrontational and scolding in tone. I was told my actions were "unacceptable," repeatedly lectured about the 48-hour cancellation policy, and spoken to as though I were personally responsible for broader scheduling issues and other patients not showing up. When I asked why my only real-time communication about this appointment occurred one minute before closing, Mary responded dismissively that a reminder text had been sent weeks earlier. Given the timing, that text could have been sent during major holiday periods (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), winter break, or during recent weather closures--making it very easy to miss or forget. Relying on a single text weeks in advance and then reprimanding a patient is unreasonable. I understand office policies and operational stress, but patients should still be treated with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, the front desk experience overshadowed an otherwise positive visit, and I doubt I will be returning.

We are looking for another practice because of it. It's a hostile environment, rude and just plain unwelcoming. The doctor is great but you can't get to him without going through the front desk! Do better doc!! You are losing valuable patients because of it.

After just two visits, including an extraction, we love this place. Here's why: 1) Experience: They make it fun from the waiting area with colorful walls and a TV playing kids shows to the dentist rooms. Each staff member gently walks the kids through all the tools, making it less scary. Staff's masks are unicorn, robot and other fun themes. At the end, our daughter got a balloon, chapstick, two toy rings and a bouncing ball. 2) Care: Each staff member is helpful, friendly, efficient and work to make your child at ease. 3) Location: It's in Falls Church, a bit of a drive from our SE D.C. home, but if you schedule a 8 a.m. appointment, the traffic isn't so bad. It took us 25 minutes to get there. It's within a commercial development space with free parking in the garage. There are a few shops nearby, including a coffee shop called Kindred Cafe.

This review is for Kelly Hu, DDS who practices at the same location under Sun Dental…read more After my family had to switch dentists after seeing the same provider for the past 20+ years, we found Sun Dental through a friend. I've been to Dr Hu now for multiple routine dental cleanings as of now. The office space itself is quite conscious of COVID19 precautions, including plexiglass between front desk staff and patients, they have signage that allows for patrons to wait in their cars and the staff will contact you of when to come inside, they place chairs facing in alternate directions for social distancing, everyone wears masks and providers wear face shields. They also provide you with sunglasses when you are sitting in the dental chair to shield your eyes from that bright overhead light. Although at times with some of the hygienists, they can be quite rough when flossing, I think overall they are quite thorough. The front desk staff are quite kind, they know you by name as soon as you enter and are able to help fit you into a busy schedule. Dr Hu I think is a reliable and respectable provider. I received an antibiotic injection for an inflammed gum. I at first wasn't too sure whether I would receive it, but she explained if I were part of her family she would recommend it just the same. She explained risk/benefits/out of pocket payment up front. She explained contingency planning with future return precautions, potential referrals and follow-up visit planning. On a subsequent visit, I had an X-ray completed and she explained in-detail what I was looking at, what she was concerned about, what was reassuring, etc. Tips/Takeaways: -They take COVID19 safety precautions seriously -From the front desk staff to hygienists to providers, they are up front about bills, they know you, well, they explain risk/benefit/payments -Would highly recommend Dr Hu!
