I've had the good fortune of visiting Woody's since I was a child, and it's still just as good today (even with an ownership transition). I no longer live in the area, but make it a point to stop at Woody's when I'm town visiting family. The food is great, and we never leave without taking a gallon of their homemade root beer. The carbonation doesn't last long, though, so only get what you can drink in a couple days. Can't wait until next season when they're open to visit again! read more

I can not say enough great things about this place. The food is classic American drive-in food, with the fried mushrooms, chili dogs, french fries, and ice cream being impossible to resist. Their root beer has a perfect balance between sweetness and 'root' flavor. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the building kept spotless. There's even a seating area if you'd prefer to eat outside of your car. You can never go wrong stopping at this seasonal drive-in that offers the best of road food. read more

We went today and were greeted fairly quickly, it was fairly busy which I will admit. Placed order to-go for foot long chili dog with mustard, two ice cream cones, onion rings, corn dog basket and an extra corn dog. Waited almost 40min til they brought out food, they said would be right back with ice cream and waited another 15min. Brought one cone, and said the ice cream machine was down but would bring the other one out. Minutes later came out with 1/2 of a cone. In the meantime, our other food was now cold and as you can see from the pic this is not a) foot long chili dog or b) appetizing in any way. Extremely disappointed in our $16 wasted on food. Onion rings burnt, French fries stuck together in lump, corn dogs raw inside. read more

I lived in Fremont in elementary and loved going here. I visit every summer and always look forward to going to this place.

A staple of my childhood. Great old fashioned drive in rootbeer stand. I always get the footlong chili dog basket (fries and coleslaw) and a tall rootbeer. Don't get your rootbeer to go, you need to drink it out of a frosty mug. read more

A nice summertime root beer stand destination. I usually go sit at the picnic tables rather than eat in my vehicle though. If they do get busy, be sure to grab the attention of the staff, or go and order at the window. I have witnessed customers leave after not being waited on. Footling chilli dogs are ok, but if you want to be filled up, go with The Splitter. It's a burger stacked high. It gets me every time. read more

A nice old-time drive-in. Went mainly for the root beer, and it was good. Also cheap- sold in sizes ranging from a glass to a gallon, with the gallon being $3. Had a veal sandwich which was pretty good, and also cheap at $2 or so. Worth a visit if you're nearby. read more

When thinking of good grub, Fremont is often not the first place that comes to mind. As someone who travels Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan for work (my car is my "office"), I love when I am able to find a unique no frills place that serves up good food. How often can you get a home made root beer, excellently fried fries, and a perfect corn dog (as someone who tries to never order the same thing twice, I have a hard time doing so here). This place has great food, great atmosphere, served quickly, and is very affordable. Next time you breeze through town, make sure you stop at Woody's. read more

We sat in the parking lot for 30 minutes until we finally decided to try and walk up and order. As we walked one girl who worked here asked if we were coming to order and said to go back to the car and she would take it. She proceeded to take three other people's order including people who just pulled in. After we finally got our order taken, it took over an hour to get our food meanwhile people were pulling in, ordering, and receiving their food within 15 minutes. Terrible. read more

Love this place!! Old school root beer stand, I always take my niece and nephews here in the summer and the food is fantastic, service is fast and it's inexpensive. Whet else can one ask for. Of course I'll be back!! Only bad thing about this place is they are only open for a very short season. read more

This place is not that great. I ordered a foot-long hot dog with chili, mustard, and onions. When we received our order, my hot dog was just a regular size hot dog. When I took the hot dog back, the young girl basically said I would have to pay for another hot dog because according to her, they always read back the order, which they did not. The hot dogs are not that good as the chili tastes like can chili you buy from the store. The fries were cold and stale. Their extra-large root beer is equivalent to a medium at any other fast food restaurant. read more
