I want to Woody's with a party of 6. We were on the hunt for steak to celebrate someone's birthday. We got in and where seated quickly. Dean was ready to take our drink order. That's where the good times end. Not one of us actively enjoyed our meal. The steak tasted unseasoned. The wings were more fat than meat. The crab pasta was immensely forgettable, likely birria pasta with a tin of lump crap mixed in, no lemon or anything else added in. My poke bowl was fine. The Caesar salad was fine. We had been to Woody's prior and enjoyed. We heard it was under new ownership so figured we would give it a try. The waitress offered great service and was very helpful. The food was ok. I didn't mind my salmon bowl but it was average at best. My husband's chicken was good, but the serving size was laughable. I don't think we have ever seen a smaller portion in our lives. The drinks were good and outside table was fine. Increase the menu choices, & give some more food and the place will be better. read more

First off, it was my first time here! Harrison is such a great waiter! Wishing him all the best for his upcoming school year, heading to college. The service was fantastic, the staff was friendly, and the food was amazing. We felt very welcome and had a pleasure being served. They were attentive and helpful. Jack, the young boy who helps, is also such a hard worker. It's amazing that they let young adults start working here to earn money. I am so beyond disappointed at the fact that there isn't an option to order an aloha bowl on their menu. As someone who would go with their whole family very frequently and this being the only thing on the menu i liked. i will not be going back until it's back on the menu. We waited 45 minutes for an appetizer of clam strips. First, the waitress came to ask how we were doing, and I reminded her that we had ordered the clam strips. Stopped by at 4:30 on a Wednesday was delighted to find out they had three dollar off appetizers and their orange crushes on sale! One of the best nachos I've ever had, and they have a scallop dish that was amazing. What a great little local spot and you could take a walk on the beach right up their back pathway. I got the Al Pastore tacos, which were very solid with a lot of meat, but I thought it could've been a little bit more flavor full. The Food was sub par. The crab cakes were literally only two medium size and a large amount of lettuce taking up more than half the plate. Nothing else! Definitely not the worth $34. The sweet and sour Calamari was very good....nice kick to it and it does have Cilantro if you don't care for it. The sauce was similar to General Tso's and the Calamari was Crispy even with the sauce. Great atmosphere for a drink to cool off after the beach. I always start with the guacamole to see how a restaurant is, and we fully enjoyed it! The drink menu is extensive with plenty of options. My personal favorite is the Spicy Rita. My husband enjoyed the Trea Agaves. He also loves good tequila, so he will often select his tequila and for an extra $1 you can make it into a margarita! The bartenders are friendly, the ambiance is inviting and definitely a great place since there are quite a few locals at the bar. The tacos are amazing, I highly recommend the Baja. They also offer a grilled fish of the day, which is always fantastic. If you like a good quesadilla, definitely order them - you will love them! We were seated in the upstairs area and there was a larger party next to us, probably a 6 top nothing crazy. Service wise I'm giving 3 stars, although our waitress was kind she was unprofessional. She complained most of the time how she is overwhelmed and things are taking awhile etc. there was always a negative comment being made. A few times she would be physically sitting with other tables talking with those who are dining in. Not to sound snooty but we're here to eat and enjoy a nice lunch, not hear about your problems and restaurant drama. The food was good. Loved the tacos and raviolis everything came out hot and fresh. Empty tables, we asked to sit at a certain table, and they said no because there was going to be a party (there wasn't). We ordered a margarita, the worst I could taste, pure alcohol, we left it aside, we asked for juice and a glass of pure ice came, main dishes very small, I ordered a dish of shrimp and grits, it came with 4 shrimp and a pure pepper sauce (after we left at McDonalds). The attendants are super attentive, but those who are at the concierge leave something to be desired. I didn't like it and I won't be back and I don't recommend it to anyone. read more
