This had a rustic feel to it with reclaimed wood everywhere. The menu had something for everybody, ranging from burgers to pizzas to steaks to seafood. The menu was large and we had two options as part of a food tour I was on. I was able to try the scarpariello wings and boardwalk pizza. The wings were wood-fired with their special blend of seasoning and sauce along with cherry peppers. These were really tasty. The wings were a good size and the chicken fell right off the bone. The sauce had a slight kick to it with the cherry peppers present. The wood aspect of this dish was very noticeable too. The boardwalk pizza had house-made chorizo sausage, green pepper, onion, parmesan, Pomodoro, oregano, and red pepper flakes. This was alright. The crust was a little underdone for me, so it was a little flabby. The chorizo was the best part. I feel like jalapenos would have been a better choice of pepper here. The sauce was light and appetizing too. I also had a piece of bread that came out warm and paired nicely with the sauce from the wings. I was glad bread was provided to soak up that sauce! My husband and I were in red bank and decided to try out this branch. We frequent the branch in New Brunswick and love their happy hour. There is a parking lot across the street you can park at so no need to worry about street parking. The first thing I noticed was that this location was much smaller than the New Brunswick location and had a more chill vibe. I thought the happy hour menu had less selection as well. I was low-key disappointed there were no clams or oysters on the menu considering we are much closer to the shoreline. My husband loved his smashburger, it was very juicy. He also enjoyed the sweet potato fries which he normally doesn't like. My wings have the perfect amount of sauce where it didn't drown the wing and it was still a big crispy. We chose B2 Bistro in Red Bank to enjoy their Tuesday Taco night. Despite the fact that this Special offering is listed on their website, we were told that those prices were no longer in effect and would not be honored! (Is that legal? It's certainly not ethical!) We were charged approx TWICE as much for the Website listed 'Special' tacos! They certainly were special-E'special'ly expensive! We asked to speak with the manager who indicated that she didn't even know that this 'Special' was still on their website. At that point (and in good faith), she should have offered us something as compensation! When told that they do not carry a common beverage-BLUE MOON, the waitress suggested giving me a similar beer and offered a 'taste test'. I could not tell if I liked the sample cause the shot glass had SO LITTLE beer in it-offering me NO TASTE at all. We also ordered chips, plantains, and salsa as an appetizer. For the cost of $14.00, I assumed it would contain enough chips for three people and might even be an unlimited supply. There were approx 15 chips on the plate and 6 plantains-which were tasteless. But think about it!? 15 taco chips for three people to the tune of $14.00?! They should be embarrassed! By 7:30, this restaurant was almost empty. We have been there several times over the years, but this place has deteriorated, in many ways, and we will no longer patronize this establishment! read more

The atmosphere is good. The food is very mediocre for the price, and the service is virtually nonexistent. In an almost empty restaurant we waited over 30 minutes for our food. The jerk chicken sandwich had no discernible flavor whatsoever--it would be bland under any circumstances but for something advertised as jerk seasoned it was laughable. The mango chutney isn't like any I've seen ever-more like a bland jam that could have been made of anything. As far as service goes it was pretty much nonexistent. Our waiter never checked on us and I had to get up and look for him twice-once to ask for salt/pepper and a second time to get our check. The second time he wasn't to be found and I was finally able to get some help from the bartender. One of the managers eventually came out which I appreciate but it was an overall underwhelming dining experience and we won't be returning. The food was great. Fried calamari was crispy and tender. Very flavorful. Crispy octopus was cooked perfectly. It was crispy on the outside and very tender inside. I've never had octopus cooked this way and it was fabulous! It was served on a salad and the heat of the octopus wilted the greens. The dressing was some sort of citrus but I didn't care for it very much. Tuna tartar was fantastic. Great flavor. It was tossed with cubed avocado so the mushed avocado made it looked unappetizing but it tasted good. Nice julienned cucumbers and seaweed salad accompanied the tuna tartar. Avocado boats were stuffed with imitation crab and spicy maya topped it off. It was okay. I felt like I was eating sushi without the rice. Linguine with clams was amazing. Pasta and clams cooked perfectly. Cheese pizza was very delicious. It had a hint of garlic which made it next level!!! Get the pizza! Cappuccino was decent. The brookie dessert was half brownie and half cookie. Very tasty. Service didn't start off great. No one helped us until 15 minutes in. When we finally got a server he was very good. We had the goat cheese strawberry salad for appetizer. The dressing was bland! The goat cheese they used tasted bad! The whole salad wasn't good at all! For dinners we did the strip steak and tagliatelle with crabmeat. The steak tasted more like pot roast, and it was mediocre. The fries it came with were burnt to a crisp! They were HORRIBLE! Located on the edge of Redbank. They have a large parking area so there's no issue there looking for a spot, if you know Redbank that's a problem. Now for the experience Sat quickly on time for my reservation. Very nice and knowledgeable server. We ordered apps the stand outs were the polenta and beet salad, both were delicious I ordered oysters but sadly I was disappointed they were not good very small and not tasty, and just didn't look appetizing, if I was running that pass they would have not gone to the customer. Everything else was very good the pork chop special was amazing I think it was 3 inches thick WOW. Thanks to B2, I no longer miss any of my favorite burger places in Los Angeles. They make a damn good burger, probably the best in Monmouth County. But not only is the food excellent, I want to commend the service as well. People forget that going to a restaurant isn't just about the food, it's the whole experience - from the moment you enter the door until you're finished eating and leave - and both Bella and Andre have been such outstanding servers that I have to mention them here. Very good bar food. Went on a Sunday w a friend to watch football . Got there about 12:30 pm and it was surprisingly empty which was great for us to get a seat at the bar. Bartender was cordial and always checking on us. My friend had a personal pizza and I had edamame and avocado toast. I thought her Margherita pizza was too salty. Do not waste your time with this place. I don't understand the appeal. The food was average. The service was awful. We had a group of 6 adults and were there for almost 2 hours. Our appetizer plates sat on the table until our dinner plates were cleared and we all sat with our first drink we got when we first sat down, the entire evening, because we were not asked once if we needed anything else. To be fair, it seemed like the waiter had all the tables in the room but to be honest, that also shouldn't be the guests' issue. Additionally, we had children with us. The one time the hostess came into the room we were sitting, she almost ran over my one year old as she walking around the table from her grandmother to me. The hostess looked me dead in the eye and said, "we'd actually prefer them not to be running around". Mmm, my other two children were quietly sitting which is a feat for toddlers and walking around the table is not "running". It was incredibly insulting and rude. We go out quite a bit with our kids and I have never gotten any negative comments/glares or the like due to their behavior because frankly, it would be unwarranted. We ended up needing to come an hour early and they were very accommodating. We started with a margarita and a lemon drop martini. Both drinks were good, not very strong but good flavor. We had a fig and goat cheese pizza pie which was alright but didn't taste anything like fig... it tasted like cranberry sauce. Eerily familiar taste to a thanksgiving meal, not what we expected. Again not bad but definitely not great. We then had two dry aged burgers for dinner both with cheddar cheese. We were going to a concert at the Count Basie Theater a few blocks away and arrived early so we figured it would be good to get something to eat beforehand. We searched Yelp and B2 came up as highly rated. They touted their award winning burger which was enticing so we figured we would give it a try. The ambiance was what you would expect from a modern gastropub. We sat in the dining room and were happy to see a sign advertising half priced wines on Thursdays which was a nice surprise. The server was friendly and on point. For starters, we shared their version of Chicken & Waffles. Instead of fried chicken, they used chicken livers. It was a very unique dish... perfect to share for two. The Belgian Waffle was a little sweet which masked some of the liver-y flavor some people may not like. I enjoyed it but I would probably only order this once if I were a regular. We ordered both ordered the dry aged bacon cheeseburgers which came with really good crispy fries, served on wooden board. The burger itself was a bit underwhelming, lacking flavor. The bun was a typical white burger bun you would find at someone's home barbecue and the meat needed salt. I chose the brunch burger which was topped with porkroll, and cheese accompanied with breakfast potatoes. The burger was good and cooked to my request. Although our server was friendly, we had to flag him down for ketchup as he disappeared for a while after delivering our food.
