Fantastic experience! What a great variety of wines to choose from! If you only like white wines or red wines, everyone will be happy here. Such a nice serene setting, which isn't over the top, but you still feel so well taken care of. They are known for their Cab Franc, and I can see why! What an amazing representation of the varietal! Recently I went to a party and the host was serving a 2013 Cabernet Franc from Woof'n Rose that I fell in love with! Since I am not a wine connoisseur (let alone much of a drinker) I can't describe it in terms that most people would appreciate but let me just say it was rich, tasty, smooth, and went down VERY well! So, a couple weeks after the party my husband and I decided to go to the winery with some friends. The owner's son, Ehren, and his wife Stephanie were our hosts that day and they were delightful ... made us feel right at home! I only took sips of my husband's tastings, which we both enjoyed thoroughly. The Cab Franc was still my favorite but they were all yummy. This is a very small venue ... and very charming. We brought some snacks to accompany our tastings, Great experience all the way around, we will be back! read more

We were visiting our daughter and her boyfriend in San Diego and as wine lovers decided to seek out some new wineries. I liked reading that Woof and Rose's wines are estate grown and represent the area. As such, the only white is the Alberino, but that was fine with us red wine lovers. And, the Alberino is great. In small wineries like this you are tasting with the winemaker and don't have a bachelorette party bus in the parking lot. Just good wine and nice people. Some of their wines are worth buying. Not sure how the wine experience can be saved when they invested nothing to enhance the customer's wine tasting experience. The best wines in Southern California. This little hidden diamond in the rough tucked down the long and winding road with no signs so you have to use GPS to get there serves the best wine in Southern California. Don't expect a glitzy re-creation of a French château, this is all small boutique winery tucked into the vines. Seating is very limited, but that's OK we prefer to stand and chat with Marilyn and listen to her dogs bark, or should I say woof. Don't be seduced by the big glitzy re-creations of Château's that have high priced tastings and even higher priced bottles. Marilyn's current price for a tasting which includes a real crystal glass is $10. They only have one white wine and many reds and not a bad one in the bunch. Maybe that's why my wine wall is full of their wines. read more

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and randomly decided to make a trip out to Ramona to try some wineries. Woof'n Rose was recommended to us by another winery. We are so used to Temecula, so going down a dirt road to a little area that looks like someone's home, and there it was. We started chatting with the owner, Marilyn, as she poured our wines, and wow! Spectacular reds. Mostly dry, but just enough fruitiness that my husband even appreciated them. Also, a very delightful and not too sweet dessert red. The owner is extremely kind and knowledgeable. Her passion for wine and dogs is obvious. The tasting is a great deal for the price and the wines are delicious. If you are looking for a fancy venue, go elsewhere. If you are looking for the best wines in southern California, this is the place to go. This is a red wine winery tho they do have one very good white to offer. In addition, when you have a tasting it is only $10, you get to keep the crystal wine glass, and you get to taste the full lineup--not just 4 or 5 wines the other wineries offer at a much higher price. We love this winery and my husband and I both feel Marilyn and Steve's wines are consistently the best in the region. read more

My husband and I went to a tasting at the Woof'n Rose last week after calling to make an appointment. We tasted an Albariño, 6 red wines, and a couple of dessert wines. Usually at wine tastings I enjoy some wines and not others, but I have to say that I loved every single wine that we tried here! I wish we could have bought a bottle of each one but we settled on two wines. We really enjoyed talking with Marilyn, the owner, about their business, their wines, and their dogs. The tasting room is rustic, outdoors (but covered) and has a beautiful view. They are very dog friendly and gave our dogs treats. We would definitely go back again. read more

My boyfriend and I tried one of Woof'n Rose's wines at the SD County Fair and decided to make a trip out in order to see what other wines they had to offer. My boyfriend really enjoyed the wine at the fair and wanted to go due to flavor. I on the other hand, wanted to go because it is a dog themed winery of course. It is a cute winery tucked away off of a small two laned road that winds back into one of Ramona's hillsides. Although the wine tasting is done straight out of the owners' garage, there is a great view of the vineyard, which makes for lovely ambiance. Marilyn, one of the owners, was friendly and chatted with us while we were going through our tastings. I was very surprised with how many tasting were provided; 6 or 7. Usually you only get 4 or 5 so it was unexpected. They only provided one white wine to try and as a white wine drinker I was a bit disappointed at first, but luckily their reds aren't overly dry so I actually enjoyed most of them. The only disappointment was the fact that there really aren't any dogs. The owners have a few dogs, but they are locked up in their fenced yard so it wasn't as "dog themed" as I had hoped! read more

If you are coming to Ramona or passing through on your way to Julian, I highly recommend stopping by here. Incredible estate grown and Ramona red wines!! They don't have signs on Hw 67 or Highland Valley Road, but you can easily Google their address and find them. I think they are usually there on the weekends, but you can contact them just in case. We were greeted by Marilyn in their very welcoming tasting area. Many of their wines have won awards in competitions. No jug wine here.... Just quality wine that I can't wait to have with my next grilled rib-eye steak! Great views of the Ramona Valley and Cuyamaca Peak too! Looking forward to future harvests! A+ read more

Took my mom, brother, bride-to-be, and the pup for an enjoyable trip into the hills overlooking Ramona. On a smoldering Saturday afternoon we were the vineyard's only guests at the time. Marilyn was a welcoming host and it was cool to hear her story and how the family got into winemaking. It's a small operation, which was a nice change from the crowded mega-wineries. The whole place is dog-themed and dog-friendly; our little mutt even scored a treat. Marilyn was also able to confirm that their wine is vegan-friendly, which is a big deal for the bride-to-be.
