My mom wanted to come here for her birthday and I have been wanting to come here since they opened so we had the opportunity on June 28th! My boyfriend and I were to first to arrived but I remember last time my mom and I tried to go in, they were really busy so I figured it would be good to check to see if we had to join a waitlist. Luckily, we came in at a good time and they seat your party even if they are not all there. Just a reminder that this is a small restaurant with 6 tables (also not that big) so plan accordingly. As the rest of my part arrived, we ordered a combo T, mala jjampong, gan jajang, creamy shrimp, chili shrimp, and shrimp fried rice. A table cleared up near us, and our waitress politely asked if we would like to attach another table to make room for all the food we ordered. I appreciated this so much as I was worried about how all the food would fit. It was so much better with the other table as food arrived and the portions are so huge so it was super appreciated that the waitress helped us out. The food was probably some of the best Korean-Chinese food that I have ever had in Washington. The flavors here are on point, the portion sizes can easily be meal today and a meal for later, and the amount of meat, vegetables and daikon was plentiful! The tea here is nice and comforting as well as great accompaniment to the food. I was also surprised to see their fried rice comes with not only jajang sauce but a bowl of jjamppong broth! The mala jjampong was the perfect spicy and numbing taste that I was looking for. I have to say the story of the show was the gan jajang, it was so good we started to dip rice, the tangsuyuk meat and more to enjoy it to the fullest. We mostly all had leftovers except for two dishes but I think that just shows how big the portions are here. Was craving jajangmyeon and found this location nearby so decided to swing by after my workout. It's located in the plaza with many other restaurants sharing the parking lot. A good place for jjajangmyun and jjampong in FW. We had their jjajang platter which was huge and can be eaten by 3. I was hoping to see a little more seafood, but it was more baby corn. Also, it was a little thicker and starchy than I like, but the flavor was good. We also ordered jjampong which wasn't very spicy. We enjoyed the soup base. Noodles were cooked well, too, so it wasn't soggy. The tangsuyuk or sweet & sour pork was good - light batter using rice flour, but it lacked a little crunch. The sauce was to my liking. I visited around 16:30 on a weekday and dined in solo for about 1.5 hours. Had a huge craving for jjajangmyeon and jjampong, but I also wanted to try their tangsuyuk since I've never had it before.. I couldn't just pick one, since I live almost an hour away and wanted it all.. LUCKILY, they offer a combination of all 3! I tried the jjampong at the restaurant, and took the rest home for later. The tangsuyuk still tasted delicious after air-frying: just the right amount of that airy crispness, which blends really well with the sauce. The jjajangmyeon noodles, I just boiled the noodles for a bit, and it hit the spot. The portions were decent too, so plenty of leftovers for me! The jjampong could have had some more seafood and more spice, but I still enjoyed the broth. The female server who took my order and rang me up seemed nice. I like that she checked up on me occasionally, but wasn't overbearing. The restaurant is quite small and no customers around the time I arrived but over the course of dining in, I noticed several [Koreans] filling up the restaurant. I could tell when they spoke with the server. Not sure if that's their typical staffing but she appeared to be the only server, whereas everyone else was on kitchen duty. Keep in mind that because it's a small restaurant, there's also only one small restroom. Idk if there was an issue with the door at the time, but it's propped open when not in use (or at least it should be). I did notice an awkward exchange between an old lady and a staff member; the old lady was using the restroom with the door closed but somehow, one of the kitchen staff walked in on her accidentally. I was craving jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk for some reason so we decided to head to this spot. At 5pm on a Saturday there was a little bit of a wait but it went by fairly quickly. The restaurant itself is small with a few tables inside, so expect a wait when you come here during busy times. The portions here are large. You can easily share 1 noodle dish and tangsuyuk between two people. The price is reasonable as well. The jjajangmyeon is good. There is a good amount of flavor on the noodles but I wish there was something a little more to the black bean sauce. A little more richness? It was a little lacking. The noodles were not as chewy as I would prefer. The pork pieces for the tangsuyuk were big and they give you so much. Could have been a little more crispier (my personal preference). The sauce for the tangsuyuk wasn't very special and could've been a little more flavorful. It was just kind of sweet and little sour. The service is quick and the servers are very kind. Wooree Bahnjeom is located within one of the many little plazas on pacific highway. This plaza has other Korean restaurants and stores and has plaza parking. The restaurant itself is pretty small inside but there was no wait when we arrived at 5:30 PM. Around 6:00 PM a line did form. We ordered the Woree Combo S which comes with jajangmyun (black bean noodles), jampong (spicy seafood noodle soup), and a shrimp of your choice (kkanpun, chili, or cream). This combo gave us a little bit of everything. Portions are quite large and easily shareable. The jajangmyun was good - chewy noodles and good flavor on the sauce. I have however have had chewier/fresher noodles and felt the sauce could be more hearty/meaty in flavor, but that's just me being extra picky. The shrimp they use are extra large and the flavor for the kkanpun shrimp was good. Slightly spicy with some sweetness. I appreciate the pickled radish they give on the side to cut some of the heaviness of the entrees. Only tried a few spoonfuls of the jampong but felt it had good heat and flavor! If you want truly outstanding Jjajangmyeon or Jjampong, the best place is still the Korean-Chinese joint in Paldo World in Lakewood, but if you're just looking to fulfill a craving, Wooree Bahnjeom is a solid place to do it. This spot is usually fairly busy, but they've got a waitlist system that moves quickly, and they're good about texting as well as checking for customers who may be waiting outside. If there are only one or two parties ahead of you, I'd say it's worth waiting a bit. Otherwise, there are plenty of great Korean restaurants in the same strip mall (I'd recommend So Moon Nan Jib). The last time I went, my friend and I ordered the Mixed Seafood Jjajangmyeon (쟁반짜장). The portion size was solid, the seafood wasn't tough, and the right idea behind the flavor was there. The spaces are small and usually someone is waiting and parked on the side for a spot. But onto the restaurant itself. This place gets so busy and fast! We had to put our names on the wait list. It was our first time there. It was a small and quaint little restaurant. Lucky we got there 15 mins after they opened. By 11:45 it started to get busy. We ordered the Gan Jajang and Jjampoong Seafood Noodle Soup. Overall the taste was good. It was our first time trying these dishes. Growing up with Korean-style Chinese food, I've always associated it with nostalgia. If there's one dish that perfectly captures those childhood memories, it would be Jjajangmyeon. Traditional Jjajangmyeon features a slightly sweet, somewhat runny black bean sauce--a comforting and familiar taste. On a friend's recommendation, I visited Wooree BahnJeom, a Korean-Chinese restaurant in Federal Way. Even though it was still early for lunch, the place was already packed. Fortunately, I found a seat right away, but soon after, a line started forming. While my Jjajangmyeon arrived fairly quickly, I noticed that larger entrees took a bit longer to be served. At the table next to me, a group ordered Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). The moment I saw its nearly white color, I could tell it was made with glutinous rice batter. The texture looked wonderfully chewy, which is a definite upgrade over the usual flour-based version. Now, onto the Jjajangmyeon itself. While not the best I've ever had, I'd say it ranks among the top three in Washington State--at least by my own standards. The biggest letdown was the noodles, which lacked chewiness. Additionally, they weren't drained properly, so excess water mixed into the black bean sauce, making it too runny and slightly diluting the flavor. The service was excellent--one of the best I've encountered in a Korean-Chinese restaurant in the area. Despite the fast-paced environment, the servers were attentive, efficient, and even made time for small talk with customers. The restaurant was also impressively clean--there was no lingering greasy smell, and the tables were wiped down thoroughly, avoiding that sticky feel that some places have. Apparently a new restaurant. Small, a single unit at that strip mall. Went there as a party of 4. Had 3 noodle dishes plus 2 fried meat dishes. Unfortunately, I don't know the Korean names since they were ordered for me in Korean. I really liked the JaJang noodles, the noodles felt authentic and home made. However the sauce was really bland and not enough. I also had the fried pork (tangsuyuk?) that you dip in the sweet sauce that has pineapples in it. Very tasty as well. I had the KamPung chicken, which tasted like orange chicken. It was very good. However I later found out it was $28! That's a ridiculous price for something that shouldn't have cost more than $20 at the most. Finally, there were two soup noodles which I didn't taste because I was so full from eating the other stuff. Overall, I liked the 3 dishes I ate except for the price. First, this place has THE best Jampong I've had in the area. So it makes me very sad to write this review. - I visited on 3/11/26 - my daughter and I both ordered Jampong and ate it in the restaurant. It was very tasty, the portions are HUGE so we both took about half of our servings home. On 3/12, I reheated the remainder of my Jampong to eat for dinner. All was ok until I had a bite of something that just tasted off - I spit it out and it was a CIGARETTE BUTT. Yes, the filter part of the cigarette that you put in your mouth!!! I called the restaurant immediately and spoke with a young lady who was very apologetic and told me that it had happened before!!! She says that it is from the mussels. Something with the vendor and when they're cleaning the mussels - I was shocked that it had happened before. She did refund my money but I was so grossed out still from chewing a cigarette butt. I believed her however and decided to try the restaurant again in the future. -3/19/26 - approximately 5:30 p.m. - my husband, daughter, and I visit the restaurant again for dinner. Their Jampong is soooo good so I wanted to give them a second chance!! We didn't see a cigarette butt in our dishes but sadly I witnessed another shocking incident. We were sitting at the table right next to the cash register. The hot tea canister is directly in our sightline. When another group came in, the worker who was in charge of the cash register went to grab a tea pot from the top of the water dispenser. Then he dipped the entire pot into the hot tea cannister at the top - he lifted the lid that is covered by the yellow towel (instead of using the spout at the bottom to fill the pot!!!). He literally dipped (with his hands) the entire tea pot into the top of the tea dispenser to fill the pot. I was shocked but wasn't as alarmed until a few minutes later. I encourage the owner to check their cameras to see what this guy did!!!! Another party paid and left - this man cleaned the table and put all the dirty dishes and their tea pot into the gray dirty dish tub that was on the rolling cart. He then rolled the cart by the water dispenser, removed their tea pot from the gray bin, dumped the remainder of their tea into the gray tub and set the tea pot on top of the water dispenser. -This means that they do not wash the tea pots between use (perhaps this is the norm at most restaurants and I didn't know this). -What makes this even more gross is that then he dips the pot into the hot tea cannister to refill for the next customer!!!! The hot tea in the large cannister is tainted with each pot/hand that gets dipped into it and you're drinking from who knows what. Why can't he at least use the spigot at the bottom to refill the cannisters? I have called the health department - this can't be ok!!! As tasty as their Jampong is, we will not be returning. Really busy and you have to wait for a while to be seated. I feel like it's because food is good and they just opened. Server is really busy so you have to ask what you need or what you want. I really like spicy noodle (짬뽕) and deep fried Pork with sweet and shout sauce (탕수육), my daughter liked deep fried chicken with sweet spicy sour sauce but I think it was just alight. jjajangmyeon tasted funny like raw soy/burnt..I understand it's made from soy bean but never had experienced like this. they gave plenty meat chunks inside. I think if they work on recipe and bring fire wok taste it'll be perfect. ...jjampong portion was huge and lots of seafood and broth was flavorful and spice level mild. ...sweet n sour pork was all meat no fat, starch batter, and price and portion was good. interior: only complaint is ventilation not good..all the smoke from kitchen comes thru vents from top of dining area and blowing that hot nasty heat. end of eating my eyes were burning.
