Best onion rings I've ever had
    Dan L.

What a great find. Right around the corner from Stratton access road. Just a small sandwich place but packs a huge taste. Got the chicken Cesar wrap that was packed full of breaded chicken cutlet, crouton and flavor. Also tried the Vietnamese BBQ Pulled Pork Banh Mi, which was so unique for a lunch sandwich. Pulled pork was melt in your mouth good. We got a side of onion rings that may be the most unique onion rings I've had; they are a combination of salty and sweet that is very special. This place was so good we returned for breakfast the next day. Burrito bowl was really good, and Vermonter was also great, which adds a a little maple syrup to the egg sandwich. Highly recommend this place.

    Philly cheesesteak bowl

We were visiting Stratton resort and wasn't enthused with any of the limited restaurant selections in the Stratton village itself. So found this place on Yelp which is only about 7-8 mins away from Stratton. This place is really good. Great customer service and ample seating especially outdoors with a great view of a creek. I got the pork banh mi sandwich which the meat was very tender as they roast their own meat in the smoker. My son got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and while you can taste the smokiness of the meat, they could have put more Swiss cheese in it. My wife got the Philly cheesesteak bowl which came with beautifully seasoned potatoes. All the dishes had their own great distinct flavor. Finally got their award winning onion rings which I have to admit, you can taste the freshness of the batter and the onion themselves.

Corned beef sandwich was amazing. Kids had BLT and amazing onion rings. I loved my egg white bowl. Delish!

Our group ordered a bunch of burgers and took heed of some reviewers' warnings-- the burgers are kinda small so you'll want a double or a whole other burger if you're hungry! For me, they were just the right size to satisfy! I got the sLAMBer burger which was SO GOOD, such an amazing mix of flavors that I couldn't stop gushing about how good it was! I heard similar sounds of approval from friends enjoying their burgers (the jam one was really popular in our group). Fries weren't spectacular but when you want fries, a GOOD fry is all you need. Now the honey pie! 3 of us ordered a slice and I think everyone enjoyed it! It's a sweet baked good unlike anything I've really had before and the salt flakes on top help to cut the sweetness. It was a bit too sweet for me to eat on my own in one sitting but I still liked it! I wish they delivered but we didnt mind picking up the order since it was only 6 min away by car! I originally thought the prices were sorta expensive for burgers but honestly not that bad because what you get is so delicious. I'm super interested in trying their 16 oz matcha milkshake... next time!

Quick summary: Amazing burgers - and this claim from someone who is not a huge burger fan…read more I ate here for the first time last week - while on vacation. My wife is a big burger fan (FYI: she raved about her burger, too), so I decided to try the place out, since we were in the area. Bit hard to locate, but parking was fine. Since the weather was good, we ate outside. There is both open air & tent-covered seating options. Speaking of seating - you must memorize your table # BEFORE going inside to order as meals are delivered to your table. I ordered the "Big Daddy M": 6oz beef, medium-cooked, with Bayley Hazen blue cheese, caramelized onions, bacon bits, garlic aioli, bibb lettuce and red onions. What a heavenly, savory combination. Each bite was full of flavor. And the French Fries? Well, super tasty as well - I ate every potato fried crumb. At other places, fries are usually bland, but not here. The order service inside was pleasant and quick; be sure to note the chalk board with a list of food options (e.g. my Wife ordered a custom burger, just the way she wanted). After ordering we went back outside to our #'d table - wait for the food was relatively quick. When done eating, just leave your baskets, etc. on the table (there is a sign stating this practice). Note: while I did not have kids here, there were plenty of families with young kids & toddlers. I definitely want to try this place a 2nd time.

Vince, the owner, genuinely cares about every guest's experience. His pride in the lodge is evident, and I especially appreciated his honesty--he'll be the first to tell you this isn't a luxury four-star hotel. Instead, it's something even more memorable: a comfortable, safe, welcoming lodge full of character. It's like your favorite well-worn pair of slippers or a cozy blanket--relaxed, familiar, and exactly where you want to unwind after a busy day. Dennis runs the bar like Cheers--before long, everyone knows your name. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and it's easy to strike up conversations with both locals and fellow travelers. The rooms are basic but clean, the beds are comfortable, the water pressure is fantastic, and fresh towels are provided every day (thank you Terri!). We also loved the restaurant and bar, especially the daily specials like Meatball Monday, Taco Tuesday, and Burger Wednesday. The food was consistently delicious and reasonably priced.

Upper Pass is a very nice ski lodge with a nice Vermont feel. The room was spacious and clean and in addition to the main bedroom there was a smaller bedroom with bunk beds and a sink. The decor was nice without being overbearing. Plenty of room, good TV, a desk and couple of comfortable beds. The bathroom was fine with a good shower. There was a small coffee maker in the room and they also stocked the room with some breakfast bars. The rooms do not have a refrigerator or microwave. In the lobby of the lodge is the Red Slate restaurant and bar which are not open on Monday or Tuesday. There is also a nice living room with a fireplace, couches and lots of games. Upper Pass Lodge is an excellent option if you are looking to stay in the Londonderry area. The lodge is welcoming and friendly, it has a great feel as an independent hotel, plus on the times I have stayed it has offered outstanding value for lodging on a Vermont ski trip. Okemo is about 1/2 hour away and Mount Snow is a bit further. The Upper Pass Lodge does hospitality right.

Espresso martinis were good. The yellow fin tuna appetizer was decent and the crispy rice it was served on was tasty. Still on the bland side.. more rice than tuna. We ordered a winter salad to go and it was literally such a joke of a salad, especially for the price. A handful of mixed greens, two tiny slivers of squash, a sprinkle of red onion, disgusting dressing, and a quarter sized amount of cranberries. Little 2oz cup of goat cheese (which was the best part). Absolutely laughable. We ordered the tartufo flatbread and again, just bland. Didn't taste any truffle and it just wasn't great.
