While visiting San Diego, we up with some local friends here. This place has a really big full bar up front with a few tables outside for sitting. We went to the back where there are tons of picnic tables and TVs. The menu had so many good items it was hard to choose, especially because they serve breakfast and lunch starting early. We ordered breakfast burritos, mini corn dogs and fruit, and a goat cheese burger with spinach. So good! We would definitely come back and try some other things given the chance. read more

Sunday brunch at The Working Class was absolutely perfect! My fiancé and I stopped by on a sunny morning and were instantly welcomed by the chill, no-fuss vibe of the place. A sign at the entrance let us know we could seat ourselves, so we grabbed a cozy outdoor table and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Ordering was super convenient with a QR code right at the table. Our server was incredibly kind and patient as we debated between brunch and lunch (brunch goes until 2 PM--huge win!). We ultimately went with brunch and are so glad we did. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a mimosa, and wow and both were delicious! The chicken was perfectly crispy, the waffle was fluffy, and it came with butter and syrup on the side so you could balance the flavors just how you like it. My fiancé had the breakfast burrito with a fresh glass of orange juice, and he loved every bite. The portions were generous and everything came out hot and fresh. Today I came into working class looking for something to eat. It is close between the brunch and breakfast time so I was kind of on the fence between the two of them. I'm happy that a bartender came over to help me. She helped explain the menu and gave me some suggestions. I tried the chili con carne. Its taste is rich and warm. The bowl taste great and the beans are fresh and hot. I'm happy with this bowl and the service makes it even better. Brindley helped with great hospitality. She's a step ahead of the service steps like setting my table to eat. Asks if I would care for a straw for my drink which sometimes I can be shy to ask for. She is welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu if you have questions. There are a lot of TVs and sports going on for all guests to enjoy. If you want a channel changed i saw a manager put some futbol on for a party of 6 who was having a great time. This place is really cool. I typically prefer a creamy thousand island-ish sauce with my chicken sandwich but I'm also a fan of spice and this got my tongue dancing a bit ha. The Cajun fries were yummy and seasoned well. Big portions that satisfied my lunch time craving. What's not to love! Note: I ordered and did not dine in so I can't speak to the service, but hats off to the chef! Loved this place so much!! We have driven by here a few times and finally decided to go on a Sunday morning. It was virtually empty at 10am on a Sunday morning and we got a great seat on the back patio. They have a deal for mimosas on the weekends I believe and it was super cheap for a whole bottle of champagne and some orange juice. I don't remember the exact name of my breakfast plate but it had a little bit of everything and it was seriously so delicious. I loved the biscuits and gravy and the potato's were crisped and seasoned to perfection. Everyone got something different and everyone loved their meals!!! This is a great spot for breakfast lunch or dinner or just to hangout and watch football. I love the layout of the place and the back patio. Did I come here on an off day or has this place gone down hill? From the second we got there, the staff was so rude to us. We had a larger party but there was PLENTY of room for us inside. We divided ourselves among some tables and agreed to only 1 check per table (annoying, but we understood and were gracious about it). The staff was constantly nagging us about standing in their way, when there was plenty of room to get by. A couple of friends say they were yelled at. I understand if a bar is crowded and the staff needs to quickly run food, they want us out of the way, but the delivery and the vibe was just so negative. It was not crowded, but maybe the staff can work with management to come up with a better system so patrons don't feel badly for simply existing. So I would say this is NOT a good place for groups. Additionally, our waitress at our table was so unfriendly, her short demeanor was enough for everyone in the group to ask "what is her problem?" We ordered one round of drinks and some food and quickly got out of there because we were so unwelcome! If the vibe had been good, the bar/restaurant could have made a decent money off of us. For the drinks, nothing special. My friend's Mexican lager was skunked. As for food, total disappointment. Everything was just OK. While the menu has some great items, the execution was just off. Our animal style fries could have been crispier and more melted. The cauliflower lacked salt and crispyness. My friend's Cajun chicken sandwich didn't have any spice. We were excited about the prospect of eating here but overall the food was just fine. Needless to say, I won't be coming back here. Bummer because I know it has good ratings and I've had a positive experience before. We quickly took our money elsewhere after having our vibe checked. Unfortunately the ambiance was challenging because the heat of the summer and crazy amout of flies inside made it unappealing. They could definitely turn up the fight on them. Great, solid spot with laid-back vibes and my favorite happy hour of all! I've been to this place with my husband, with friends, and even with co-workers and everyone I've brought with me leaves happy. It's a great spot for groups. To start off - staff is friendly, attentive, quick to assist. Food is superb, sometimes if I am with a group we would order just appetizers ($2 off during Happy Hour) and the variety is hard to top. The general tso cauliflower is fantastic, a must! As far as entrees, I have tried their fried chicken sandwich, the standard burger, the El Norte Salad, and the spinach and strawberry salad with salmon. All of them solid, flavorful choices. Finally got to try this place as we were visiting Ripcurrent Brewing across the street. We needed some food and this place hit the spot. They also had a decent beer menu and I couldn't resist getting a Blind Pig even though we had just enjoyeed several beers. I ordered the Reuben and my wife got a chicken sandwitch. We split 1/2 and 1/2 and both food items were great and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is super casual. Once you find a table you can order beers at the bar and they will bring them out to you. I was cravings some wings this past Monday and I remembered Working Class offers wing night every Monday from 5pm - 10pm. I was glad I decided to come back and try their wings again. We ended up ordering 15 wings, $1.25 for the wings. You have the option of ordering in quantities of 3, 6, 9, or 12. Each quantity of 3 wings has to be the same flavor. As far as the wings go, hands down some of the best flavored and seasoned wings I have tried. The wing sizes are not too big, not too small. All of the three flavors we selected, Sweet Chili, Dennis Dry Rub, and their flavor of the week were amazing and delicious. I regret not ordering more to take home. If I had a favorite flavor to select, it would be their sweet chili and their Korean inspired flavor this past Monday (11/25). They do offer a variety of drinks here from several brewery beers to ciders, sour ales and even Kombucha. The service is great, our server went above and beyond and would regularly check in. The environment is very enjoyable and friendly. This place definitely feels welcoming and you can even bring your pets. The only downside I would say is the parking situation. It does get packed fairly quickly and street parking is difficult to find. Overall great experience! read more

So far I had their naked wings with Buffalo sauce on the side, sweet chili chicken, their shrimp and cheddar grits, Mac cheese 2.0 and Caesar salad. Shrimp & cheddar grits cost $16.50, it came with two eggs any style, dry rub shrimp, diced bacon & tomatoes over cheddar grits. It is sooooo good, I would give it a 9 out of 10! I would definitely order again but it was heavy, make sure you have a place to sleep after this entree lol. Naked wings with side of Buffalo sauce costs $11, served with carrots, celery and ranch on the side. The wings were so crispy and delicious. I love it, would rate 10 out of 10 Sweet chili chicken wings costs $11.00, served with carrots, celery and ranch. The sauce for the wings was good but I prefer the Buffalo over the sweet chili sauce. Rate it 8 out of 10 Caesar salad costs $12. It consists of romaine, radicchio, Parmesan cheese and croutons. It was just okay, they topped it with a lot of Parmesan cheese. Rate 7 out of 10. Maybe next time, I will add chicken to the salad. Mac and cheese 2.0 costs $13, it is cavatappi noodles, beer cheese, diced bacon and jalapeños. I thought I would love this dish but it's my least favorite, it strongly tastes of beer. I know it's beer cheese is the main ingredient but it was a strong flavor. It was a-lot going on lol.
