Highly highly recommend Rewild West Coast Pale Ale. I wasn't a huge fan of Tropical Mist Citrus Blonde Ale too citrusy for my liking. My hubby got the Rain Pilsner x3. He enjoyed it! He's the real beer MVP! And there was a deal if you brought your reusable mug. We ordered a pepperoni pizza that was kinda small and basic for $20 we won't be doing that again. Somehow Pure Project flew under the radar for me until recently. I stopped into the North Park location and was blown away by the location itself and, of course, the beer. I did a 5-beer flight that included (from left to right) Diamond Dust, Thousands of Money, Encrypted Sequence, Planifola, and Phoenix Nox. Out of the lot, my two favorites were Encrypted Sequence and Phoenix Nox. Staff were friendly and prompt, there was ample seating, and they had pizza being cooked onsite. This place is so fun, it is half in and half outside but the walls are like garage doors so it was nice and cool inside. There was plenty of seating around and they had fun seats. There were couches, rocking chairs, swinging chairs, fire pit seats, bar stools. I loved how open the space felt. This place was also dog friendly, they had dog bowls available and dog treats. All the drink I tried were delicious. They had a nice variety of options including beer, ciders, and even an alcoholic smoothie. They even have a flight option so you can try many different drinks. Visited on a Sunday around 1:30pm with two friends, bar wasn't too busy maybe 10-12 guest. Was able to grab a seat by one of the fire pits. Great variety and selection of beers and ample seating. Ordered a flight with five 5oz pours got the pilsner, black lager, an IPA and two sours. Solid all about not major stand outs. Service was solid easy order at the bar and they pour your order and you grab a seat. The only project I want to be a part of because of the PUREly amazing beer! My fiancé loves IPAs and I love stouts, so this was the perfect stop for us while visiting SD. We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon so it wasn't too busy, but the place is super spacious and casual with plenty of seating. I can totally see this place being packed on the weekends because the aesthetic and furniture is super cute. With such a large variety of beers on tap, you're guaranteed to find something you like. Fortunately we shared a flight and ended up getting Situational gravity (stout) and Diamond Dust (Hazy IPA) which were both fantastic! I loved the richness of the stout while she appreciated the crisp and fruity flavors of the Hazy IPA. The staff is also very friendly and they also sell merch and bottles to take home which is super cool! Can't wait to come back the next time I'm in town. read more

I meant to leave a review last time but am sad to find I forgot. Well, time to make up for it this time. Absolutely fabulous beer, ambiance, and service. I found myself in love with the BA sours, especially the reds, but the seem to excel in every style, which is certainly a feat. As such, I find myself grabbing a flight to have a bit of everything while taking a seat in the indoor-outdoor-park feeling setup. My favorite brewery. Every time I visit San Diego I make the time to come here. I visited a few other Pure Project locations but this one in North Park is my favorite. I love this location. Their outdoor patio is fantastic with plenty of tables places to sit. They also have a indoor seating area as while. Service has aways been friendly and polite. As for their beer. I love their pretty much all their Murky IPA's ,West Coast IPA's and thier collab with other breweries. Besides that, thier slushie, sours, smoothies and bourbon stouts are also great. Parking can be a challenge to find. There's only street parking. If you love beer I highly recommend visiting Pure Project Brewing and enjoy that delicious beer of tap. Can't wait for our next visit. Lots of picnic tables and places to sit under shade. There was a food truck / table set up in the back. There is also a small inside area with a long bar. I've been a fan of their beers for years now. I've visited the Miramar location plenty of times, but this is my first time at the North Park location. The people here were friendly and there seems to be a good selection on tap at all times. During this visit, they had a very delicious barrel-aged stout that I really enjoyed. My cousin who is with me isn't a huge beer drinker, but she really enjoyed their seltzers. I really like this location because it has a more open design with lots of seating in the courtyard at benches. The vibe is really chill here and they also have some TVs. Just a great location if you wanna hang out with people and drink beers, but also fantastic location especially if you were a fan of the brewery. read more

We came here for a reunion with friends. My first visit and I'm a true fan!!! If you have kids, this place is super kid friendly. There is outdoor and indoor space available with ample seating. There isn't much place to run but if your kids are into electronics then bring it so they won't be too bored. The menu is extensive and the staff is really nice. You can get tasters before committing to any brews of choice. There was even a couple of wine selections they make in house! The bathrooms are super clean which I totally appreciate especially with kids. This place was super chill when we came and there were lots of kids and babies at the time we visited. Once 3p came along there were more people coming. We made our way out around 4p and more visitors came thereafter. There is free street parking available in the neighboring streets so make sure you circle around. There is no dedicated parking lot so if it's a busy time you may have to park it and walk. We were on vacation and wanted some beers to go. Pure project has great reviews and I can tell why. Staff were super friendly and loved that she was really nice to our son and gave him a chocolate coin; there was some kind of pirate event going on. We tried a few brews and everything was delicious. We opted to bring home Hydra Squared. It's a smoothie beer with dragon fruit, raspberry and mango. I believe it's around 8% and it does taste slightly boozy. Definitely sweet, but it's balanced well with a bit of tartness. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Very chill brewery with lots of outdoor and indoor seating. It was pretty busy on a Saturday, but I was able to order fast and find a seat. The stouts are good and service was friendly. I tried the Hazelsaurus Rex and Milagro nitro stouts. The Hazelsaurus was on the sweeter side and perfect for hazelnut lovers. I prefer the Milagro, which wasn't as sweet and a good stout. Nice chill vibes. We ended up here since downtown Comic Con it was impossible. Hubs suggested that brewery starting with a 'P' because I dragged him out the house to eat. This place and the people that work there are simply the best. I held a large event here in November, and it went better than expected in every way, in no small part due to the amazing and friendly staff here, as well as the event coordinator for all Pure Project locations (shout out to Kristin!) I am so thankful for everyone at Pure Project for making the party planning so streamlined. I highly recommend this place if you too are planning an event, or if you just want to swing by for some great pours with a smaller group, or just yourself. As mentioned before, Kristin was fantastic! She responded to my (many) anxious emails, proactively made changes to the space reservation when she realized that we were expecting rain, and provided helpful information about decorations/ordering food. Angelica, who was the manager on-site the day of the event, was also great, and checked in along the way to make sure we had everything we needed. Another perk of this place is that the private space has TV/audio capabilities, so we were able to play a video for the event. This was a requirement for the event, but was 1) surprisingly not common at other venues I explored and 2) only offered at some of those venues for a hefty additional price. Also, the quotes I received from Pure Project were very reasonable in my opinion. The beers are great, but the friendly service we received that day really put the experience over the top. Plus, the tasting room itself is so pretty! There's a ton of seating on the outdoor patio, fire pits, and pretty foliage. I have a lot of love for you guys for helping me throw such a successful party for the people I love! We'll have those memories forever, and for that, I'm so grateful! San Diego adventures stop1- Pure Project. A lovely inside/outside brewery with such good vibes and decor in a cool neighborhood. One of my friends from back home suggested this as our first stop on a mini crawl (I don't think she and her husband had ever drank from this brewery before). Lots of seating and it appears there's a food truck that parks there daily... on this night it was a taco truck whose other vehicle is... in Phoenix! On the night we visited, lots of well-behaved dogs were hanging out with their owners as well. Flights are popular here, a little pricy (the only downer, $25ish) since it's technically five, 5oz pours. The beertender was super nice to help select my flight- overall a win in my book. Beers I flighted were Tropical Mist, Lavender Daze, Triple Dust, Radiant Reverie & the Beer Slushie. Clear winner was the Lavender Daze- a VERY unique and pretty (purple) witbier that had a balanced sweet/floral taste. Tropical and Triple were fabulous, both citrusy as expected. Radiant was advertised as technically a Belgian but it was too sour for me. The slushie was a pleasant surprise. Definite win on the first stop of the weekend! read more

I absolutely love this brewery! The outdoor seating is beautiful and makes for a perfect spot to relax. I especially love bringing my dog here while enjoying one of their amazing stouts. They make some of the most delicious stouts I've had--rich, smooth, and full of flavor. I tried the raspberry stout yesterday, and it was incredible. The balance of tart raspberry and deep, roasty notes was spot on. Pure Project has such a great vibe, and the quality of their beers keeps me coming back.
