I've worked in the fitness industry for years, and I can honestly say I was impressed with this place. For a small town gym operated by the hospital, they really have a lot of equipment! I can only think of maybe two machines that I would like to see added. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and there is a wide variety of ways to get your fitness on. There is even a childcare. Having worked in the fitness industry, I know that normally in gyms, the staff is trained to sell, sell, sell. I did not get this vibe at ALL here, and it was very refreshing. I'm guessing maybe because it is run by the hospital, the employees aren't forced to hit high quotas or work off commission. Whatever the reason is, it is nice. They are there if you need them, but the staff never tries to pressure you into joining or buying things you don't need. The only thing I would change would be later hours, especially on weekends. But I am a bit of a night owl. :)

Very friendly staff up front and they have plans for short term visitors: $8/one day, $25/1 week, $35/2 weeks. I thought that was pretty reasonable. Once I paid the daily fee, I was really impressed with the gym itself. Extremely clean, dumbbells were organized and not strewn everywhere. The equipment looked like it was brand new. Everything was in working order. Also equipment and dumbbells for serious lifters. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and it wasn't crowded at all. Not sure how it is during the week but I was happy. Was able to use the equipment I needed. Found everything with no issues. I would definitely come back here.

The other is so loud it can be heard over the blaring music and classes being held behind the partition. Several of the other machines need padding replaced or recovered. And a shoulder machine ( I believe) isn't adequately bolted. Tanning is available - only during staffed hours, which is not convenient if you can't get there by 6pm. It is very clean, and has 24hr. access for members. Rates could be better given the state of the equipment. Either drop rates and keep said equipment or fix it! I've taken 3 classes so far at this studio and it has been amazing. The studio is a really nice size, so you have room to move around. The staff is very friendly. I love taking Pilates because it doesn't feel like a workout (until the next day, when I can't move). Pilates works the whole body in just 50 minutes. Give them a try! You will be addicted.
