I'll preface by saying I haven't trained at a ton of gyms but this one has been my very favorite to train at. First I'd like to highlight the customer service I received from all the trainers but specifically a trainer named Ryan. I had told him off hand that I would be moving in the future and he pre-emptively deactivated my account so I wouldn't get charged by accident after I moved. I was very impressed by this. The gym is small and intimate and does not get over crowded, but has all the free weights, machines, and other equipment anyone could need for a great workout no matter what your gym goals may be. If you go to a big chain gym you'll often find things are missing, not working, broken, or inattentive staff. That is not the case with WOA. Everything works great, the staff are constantly cleaning and keeping everything in tip-top shape, and best of all the squat rack is almost always free! The other gym-goers are a diverse crowd that are all kind and polite to one another and it makes for a really healthy and not intimidating gym culture. If you live in the Beaverton area I highly recommend this gym. One small snag, is that while the monthly price is very affordable at $15, there is a hidden sign up fee of over $100. This is not the trainers fault though so, don't blame them, blame management haha. That being said you are still going to absolutely get your money's worth with this gym. I tried out this gym called workout anytime. what I find interesting is that those hours posted are the hours when someone is working and sitting behind the desk. If you have any questions or concerns after hours, you have to wait until someone is working there again. The cheapest rate for this hole in the wall gym is $19.99, but check this out; if you drive 1 and a half miles down the street, there is a gym that's about 10 times the size of this hole in the wall, and the cheapest rate is $9.99. That's right. $9.99. Not only that; there are employees working every minute the gym is open, and you don't even have to wait until the next time it's open if you have any questions. The locker room alone is about a quarter the size of the hole in the wall gym that is anytime fitness. The locker room at anytime fitness is basically about 6 feet by 6 feet, if that big. Basically, 3 people in the locker room would be a crowd. The size of the part of the locker room where there are sinks mirrors alone are larger than the entire locker room at anytime fitness. And, there are all sorts of fitness classes. Did I mention that the cheapest rate is $9.99? Planet Fitness. Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself and compare. Last night, I saw the sign from the distance....Workout Anytime, so after I left the grocery store I walked over to the building, but the door was locked. The lights were on and I saw one person running on the treadmill. I couldn't get her attention, so I left. I'm new to the area. But I drove around, and I googled gyms near me, and I found planet fitness. I drove to it. It's huge! The doors were wide open so I wasn't locked out, and there were three people standing behind the counter, waiting to greet me and welcome me. I'm only giving workout anytime 1 star because the doors were locked about 930 when i stopped by. I don't know how it can be called workout anytime when there's no one to let me in to show me the place. So I get a response from I guess the manager --"Jamie, our locations are open 24/7 for all our members. They use a keycard to enter after staffed hours. Please call the Beaverton location and the owner will be glad to set a time for you come come in. We hope at that once you are able to give us a chance, you will opt to better your review. Thank you Workout Anytime Franchise, LLC." So I have to be a member to check out the gym? I have to set up a time to get inside the gym to check it out?" That's crazy. My girlfriend and I was at the laundromat the other evening and I decided I'd check out the gym next door. The doors were locked, I couldn't get in. The strangest thing. It's called Workout Anytime, but I couldn't get in to even check the place out. I don't know why it's called Workout Anytime. I saw there was what I thought might be a counter, but there was no one there. There were people working out but no one was looking in my direction. I was going to ask them to let me in. The strangest thing. Workout Anytime? You don't have staff there for this gym? I've seen anything like it. A staff-less gym? What do people do if they're working out and they have questions? I have seen many gyms in my life. I've never seen one that I guess is open 24/7 but there is no staff? The manager brags that the people there have 24/7 access. But if the doors are locked when potential members stop by, and there's no one there for a tour of the place or to answer questions except for scheduled time, how can that be 24/7 access? If i stopped by Planet Fitness at 9 pm, or midnight, or at 3 in the morning the doors will be open, and there will be someone there to show me around the gym, and even sign me up if I'm interested, and it's only $9.99. read more

I live just a few blocks away and had been passing by Workout Anytime for months on a daily basis. One September morning during a torrential downpour I finally stopped in and was greeted by one of the owners, Kelly. She had an answer for every question I had and gave me a full tour of the facility, as well as a 3-day trial pass to get a feel. After those 3 days I had come to the conclusion that this is by far the most welcoming, empowering gym I have ever been to! I set up a 3D body image scanning session with one of their employees Ryan and was blown away by what I saw! This stuff seemingly comes straight out of a George Lucas film, folks. I had the results sent right to my email! Their basic membership is only $15/mth, but with all of the benefits (tanning, hydromassage bed, monthly 3D body image scanning to track progress, unlimited guests, ect.) that the premium membership offers for just $10 more a month, I definitely won't be downgrading my membership anytime soon. Please, do yourself a favor and take advantage of this amazing environment! I am feeling more confident already. read more

Came back home to Portland for a month from college and decided to look up some good gyms near me. This place attracted me since it offered a two week free gym membership. Its been about 2 and a half weeks since then, and overall it's been a positive experience. I go to workout everyday and usually there's around 10-15 people in the gym at any given time, sometimes less than 10 during less busy hours. The gym itself isn't that big, but it has all the machines and equipment you could need, so thats usually no problem. Gym itself, the equipment, restroom are all very clean, and the staff there are very nice and accommodating. If you have any questions about how to use equipment or any gym related questions or just want to strike up a conversation, they are willing to help! Overall, would highly recommend this gym. Their gym membership prices are also probably one of the most, if not the most, fair on the market. read more

Workout Anytime is one of the best gyms I've been a member of. The facility is sparkling clean, the staff members are all very friendly - locally owned/operated, and for $15 (basic) $25 (premium) monthly fee, you literally can't beat it. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with reasonable staffed hours. The premium membership includes tanning - new beds/bulbs, and a hydro massage - which is incredibly relaxing after training. Although I don't pay attention to the TVs, they do have new/large/nice screens all over the gym and good music is always playing. One of the staff members is also the founder of #LIFTFORTHE22, which is an amazing organization that offers gym memberships and support to veterans who are struggling with PTSD/depression/suicide, etc. I absolutely love everything about Workout Anytime - Hyland Hills and you will too :) read more

Aside from Workout Anytime being open 24/7 (including holidays!!!!) and offering $15 monthly memberships, the gym is always clean and pretty much has everything you need for any workout. It's fairly new (I think they opened in summer 2015) and on the smaller side so it's nice that it hardly ever gets crowded and I never have to wait for machines/weights to be available. The only downside to this gym is that it does not have an extra space, like a room where classes would be held, if you wanted to do something in private such as yoga, dance, etc. However you are paying such an affordable amount for literally EVERYTHING you need for a workout! Also a major plus, staff is very friendly and helpful. They definitely go out of their way to make their members happy and it shows!!! read more

This is the best gym I have ever been a member of, I make the drive from Newberg Oregon everyday because this gym is worth the drive. The staff here are some of the nicest, smartest and coolest people I have ever associated with. It's definitely a family gym that embraces all ages and all types of people whether you're new to fitness or a fitness guru like the trainers. Wifi, tanning, massage bed, small group training sessions, the react machine, and personal trainers are just some of the perks when you sign up for the low costing month to month no contract membership. I have dropped 12 pounds since meeting with one of the trainers and he got me on a meal plan. This gym is the bees knees, if you don't become a member here, then seriously what are you doing with your life? read more

I recently moved to the Beaverton area and I was looking for a new gym and a personal trainer who would really listen to me, understand my needs and goals and get me into a fitness and nutrition program that would fit me. The owner literally canceled a veterans membership on 9/11 because he said his clothes smelled. At a gym, with sweaty, stinky people everywhere. The owner hates America and hates his customers apparently. His damage control team always tries to point out he was an ex cop, like that makes up for his rude and arrogant behavior. He doesn't care for veterans, don't believe the rhetoric. Vets don't go to this gym, just read the negative comments from countless other veterans. There are much better gyms to join with less incompetence and discrimination. All the good employees have left because the owner is so bad. This one will be bankrupt by next year. read more

I value the gym's dedication to maintaining a clean environment. They have employed Erika Robertson to do just that--mop, vacuum, scrub gyms floors and bathrooms, and launder the gym's towels for member's use to wipe down machines as well as their own bodies. Erika also goes out of her way to greet and acknowledge members as they are engaged in their work-outs. She is very friendly, outgoing, and frequently has a bright smile on her face. Erika is also a gym member and can often be found on the Stairmaster. One improvement that management can make is to allow Erika to service the paper towel, soap, and toilet roll dispensers in the bathrooms. read more

I love this gym! Mike, Kelly, Ryan and Nick are great. They work the front, greet you, motivate you and make you feel like you've just walked in to a family atmosphere. The machines are clean, great variety of workout tools for any kind of work out. Lots of cardio machines and no waiting. Great ceiling and wall mounted flat screens to watch as well. They actually let you change the channels. While they have the latest technology and equipment, the culture and feel remind me of the personal gyms of the 80's. Also, "Lift for the 22" veteran support. Very inspiring and something they deeply believe in and support. read more

I joined this gym specifically for the trainers on staff. It is close to my work so I go at lunchtime. the equipment is new, "State of the art". The ownership is local and on site most days. I belong to a bigger club but, I find myself showing up to Workout Anytime more often. My trainer, Scott Graham, is not only friendly and knowledgeable but keeps my training sessions interesting and different. I am achieving my goals much faster than I was on my own. The equipment is well spaced and you are never far from a TV, they are everywhere. read more

This is a really clean facility, the staff is super friendly. I met the owner and his family upon my first week working out here - I really like that they care enough to know names of the people there! I LOVE that they are allowing people the FREEDOM to choose whether they wear a mask or not. Some people do and some people don't, and we all respect each other for it. Not this gym!...it is so easy to navigate around the many different workout machines..it's so clean and set up so well, i feel very supported in there.
