It was our first time trying this place. We were driving home from a trip to Yellowstone and stopped in Pocatello for lunch. We were in the mood for some sandwiches and this place sounded great. I stopped by the chubbuck location and the first thing i noticed is the employees weren't wearing masks but i got some food anyways cause i needed something in my human meat host. The employees were really kind and suggested a warm sandwich for me to try. It was the Philly Cheesesteak and gosh darn it it was so good it nearly knocked my socks off. The food is really good, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it whatsoever except it's not worth the price. However, the customer service was awful. The girl who took our order was very nice and very patient but it's way too loud in the restaurant itself so we couldn't hear her at all. The girl who rang us up was also very nice and I enjoyed her help, also very patient. The manager though was very rude, very impatient and was just all around had a very nasty attitude. She kept rolling her eyes, glaring and sighing very loudly and it was making me very anxious while making my sandwich. And she cut the sandwiches wrong. read more

This place is an ideal sandwich deli. They cut the meat and cheese right in front of you similar to a NY deli. Then load it with the " works" been here twice in a week which is actually rare for me being I travel so much. But I do love their sandwiches read more

Stopped here based on the yelp reviews - sandwich was underwhelming. Had a French dip and it had hardly any meat on it and was over microwaved. The dining room was dirty and there was a dead fly next to the drink cups/ice machine. And food on the counter. read more

Went here this morning and was disappointed by the service. The employees were not friendly and I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Ate at The Works on Jefferson last night. Not that it's the first time, this shop has been a favorite of ours since we moved back to Pocatello. I love the Italian! It's got pastrami on it, I just can't stay away. So many toppings to add and lots of delicious sides. Love the cottage fries, mushrooms are good and one of the only places i can find fried cheese curds (spent a long time in Wisconsin). Husband's from Philly and this is his favorite version of that sub in town. The staff is awesome day and night. If you don't like a lot of sauce/condiments just ask them to go a little lighter, we've never had any problems getting a great meal and if you get their app you can get it delivered. read more

Have been a long time customer of the works, we have had the works delivered multiple times to our household before, although tonight we were informed they don't deliver our area and we should call the chubbuck branch which is over 3 miles further away, i asked why and overheard the female manager in the background telling another employee to take the call because i was being a pain in the @$$, even though we had issues i still tipped the driver $15 on a $32 bill since he had to go so far out of his way, (we live 1.78 miles from the establishment) food however was exemplary as expected, perhaps a nighttime regime change should be in order. read more

Just had a meal from the Chubbuck location. We arrived at the pickup window and rather than ask for our name he just said "you the fish and chips?". No hello, no thank you, no nothing! Ordered a Reuben sandwich which is supposed to be warm and contain sauerkraut...neither the case here. I ordered double meat and I would be afraid to see it regular if that was double. Fried zucchini was not completely cooked and very doughy. I'll be hard pressed to return to this business. read more

They are one of the few restaurants in town in the restaurant app we have. So we tried it out and were not disappointed. They always have good deals and quick service. Try the buffalo chicken sandwich extra spicy. So yummy! read more

My wife and I really like this place and have been here a few times. I think they have just recently reopened. That means the cottage fries are back. The sandwiches have always been really good and are competitively priced. I really like having fries or other good sides instead of the normal chips that other places do. read more

Service wasn't great and the food was terrible and pricey. The pastrami wasn't at all what we expected and they put so much mayo on my son's sandwich that even after scrapping off most of it, the bread was soggy and he refused to eat his food. Big let down after all the good things we heard. Won't be returning. Can get better food at Subway in my opinion. read more

The food was just as good as I remember it being and was worth the 45 mile drive to get here. I got the club sandwich which was amazing.
