We came in before 8 AM on Memorial Day and were seated immediately, which was a great start to the experience. Parking was a little tight with smaller parking spaces, but manageable. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food came out fast and in large portions. The eggs were cooked exactly as requested, and the French toast was especially good--thick slices of bread coated well in egg and full of flavor. The seating area and restrooms were both very clean and organized, which made the restaurant feel well-maintained overall. Breakfast at Jeri's - a staple in Pocatello since 1965. This is the classic breakfast joint. Counter with stools upon entry. Cooks at it in the kitchen visible from your booth. We had two meat and egg breakfasts with a cinnamon roll added. The ham steak was the size of a hub cap. Food was just like mom or granny makes. The coffee hadn't even cooled before Megan deposited the meal. Megan had great food suggestions and customized these to our preferences. Friendly folks and great food. Don't skip this one! read more

Food was ok, my husband liked his breakfast, my burger was overcooked, but the worst part was the service. The girl who brought our waters, basically just threw them in front of us and of course no customer service or even a hello. The waitress threw my husbands food right in front of him, and never once did anyone come back and check on us. If I had only taken 2 bites of my hamburger, you would think someone would check on us and ask if something was wrong. I have never had the worst customer service in my life. All it takes is a hello is everything fine or even a smile, but this place lacked this customer service. I would not recommend this type of service to anyone, if you like their food, get it to go because the lack of service sucks. read more

I had the pancake, which was quite dry and way too large for one person ! My husband had the fried eggs toast, hashbrowns meal. The toast was on homemade sourdough bread, which was amazing. Two eggs, bacon and a waffle cost more than the steak dinner I had the night before, and you get plastic cups not glassware Now I understand why 95% of people in the restaurant are only drinking coffee , they can't afford the breakfast I will not return due to the cost! read more

As we enjoy finding new and tasty places to eat, and as breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day, I got on the app that helps me with this. It pointed us to Jeri's Jumbo Cafe, and what a find this Cafe is! The food and the portions were fantastic! I had the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy (for me this is the teat) and don't miss out on the carmel roll, and the service matched the food! If a ton of mediocre food is what you're looking for then belly up to the trough. Portions are made for a 400 pound person for two meals and the food isn't good. It's just smothered in butter frosting and gravy. Plus I got food poisoning. read more

Came in on a Father's Day for brunch. Parking in front and back and nearby lots. Don't park in front of the bakery except on Sundays. Eclectic homey decor. There was a wait. The food and service was flawless. I tried the waffle, scone, sausage links, shredded and fried style hash browns, and orange juice and they were all excellent. Wow Pocatello!!! Another gem!!! Come and try this place and to warn you now. Jumbos is not named after some guy it is named after the portions you get here. Want some good town hospitality come here. This is a get in, get your food and get out place. One of ladies working up front even said they are all about turning over tables here. We all came into town due to a family emergency and wanted to find a local place to sit down and eat. If your party is not all there, you will not be seated (I've seen this at some other locations as well when they are packed) If someone joins your party after you have your order in, they will not be served with you and will need to sit separate. Our waitress was fine for service but very clearly was trying to serve and move on. We felt very rushed to order, eat our food, and move out as she brought boxes while we were still eating. One of the individuals at our table ordered a substation as they were allergic and received the order without the change made. However due to our interactions already they just switched plates with someone else instead of feeling comfortable enough to say the order was wrong. The chicken fried steak here is way over cooked and tough, and the hashed browns were very mushy. One of the members at the table apologized and said today was not indicative of how the place normally is. Based off of today I'd find a different diner to go to if you'd like a family meal. However I will say the portions are huge and you could easily share a meal. read more

Short example: waiter asked if I wanted the gravy on my hash browns and I asked for it on the side- she charged me for a side of gravy instead.
