It was great. I prefer this place than Einstein bagels back home. The coffee I ordered was called the Deja voodoo carmaker, coconut and vanilla that was great too. It's a small place that gets busy. My boyfriend got a plain bagel with peanut butter and banana, and was absolutely delighted when the gal gave him the option between "crunchy" or "smooth" peanut butter. As of lately there seems to be a care free vibe, went in for lunch the other day and got the chicken salad and convinced my friend to get the same it's usually the best. We got them and they were made wrong missing ingredients and hardly any chicken salad seemed all I could see where red onion it was super disappointing and to top it off a medium length black hair. This was my first time coming here, as a bagel fanatic I have been wanting to try it. I got the eggs florentine sandwich on a spinach florentine bagel and it was delicious! I know they have the spinach florentine bagel only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I would come back for the sandwich alone, but I also had the iced caramel Cielo latte and I ordered it a little less sweet which was perfect for me. The service was great because it was quick and the employees making the sandwiches were very friendly. The cashier was also friendly and recommended different drinks to me. We had the dog with us as well so we needed patio seating. 5Th Street Bagelry fit the bill. We ordered two bagel sandwiches, one drip coffee and one specialty latte - our bill was less than $18 - which felt like a great start! Then we sat to eat and we were treated to innovative flavors on fresh delicious bagels. My quiche bagel kept me coming back for more bites even when the first half filled me up. Really yummy - we even picked some bagels to go for breakfast the next day. The drip coffee left a little to be desired, but we are coffee snobs so no points off there. When I moved away from Pocatello every time I came home to visit 5th street was first on my list of foods I needed while I was home. The house made bagels are to die for and it always keeps you on your toes with the alternating menu of bagel selection. My go to favorite sandwiches are the Adobo, which is a turkey bacon chipotle styled sandwich and the Pilgrim which also has turkey and the best cranberry cream cheese this side of the Mississippi. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere makes you feel like you've been transferred to the pacific north west. Truly a cozy, delicious spot for breakfast or lunch. One of my all time favorites. I have yet to have a bagel ANYWHERE that is comparable to 5th Street. read more

This is a mixed review. As soon as we entered, we were greeted warmly by a great staff. Each of them were friendly and attentive. If it were about the staff friendliness it would be 5 stars and done. But let's face it... it's about the bagels, right?? So... bagels were chewy, schmeer was tasty but quite reserved in the amount they "schmeer" on. I asked for my bagel to be toasted as well. Their idea of toasting is to smash them thin so they fit in a normal drop toaster. Save yourself the trouble and go to Einstein's Bagels if you want a good bagel. Good coffee. Terrific bagels. Warm atmosphere. And they're open on Sunday!! But. They could use an efficiency expert on their production line. Several times my toasted bagel (with nothing on it) has been "lost" in the chaos. Why are there 3-5 people making sandwiches/bagels and only one person manning the cash register and making intricate coffee drinks? (sometimes 2-4 of those sandwich people around while the cashier is drowning) Why is there no one tasked with "moving things along"? Before visiting I was warned that the lines could be long, and watching the confusion behind the counter I can see why. Don't mess with the bagels or the coffee or the desserts....but please study up on how to streamline your production/distribution because your employees and customers will appreciate it. read more
