They have journals, planners, planner refills, Crane stationery, and a selection of fine gift wrap. You can find Claire Fontaine and Rhodia products here, as well as a few European and Japanese brands. I can usually find what I need here without assistance, so I don't really have much of an opinion about the customer service except to say that it's not exceptionally warm personalities at the register. This isn't important to me, but if it is for you, this is not a place where the staff will hold your hand or check on you actively. Still a solid little neighborhood stationery store, and very different in terms of stock and character from its sister store in Berkeley's Elmwood Neighborhood (I shop both).

First off. Larry is a great guy. Very friendly. A true gentleman this is in no way a review about…read morehis character. It is a review based on his services and communication. I hired Larry to install two TV's one with a solution which he recommended, and One a standard mount to the wall. I did have multiple communication issues with Larry where he agreed to a certain day and time, then forgot which day he agreed to. This wasn't a huge inconvenience as he was able to re-accommodate the original date. I had originally asked him if I could pay by credit card, and he stated it shouldn't be a problem. Then in the end it became a problem. All of this is just an inconvenience. But I guess I'm an old fashioned kinda guy. I always go by what people communicate to me. If you don't live by your word, what good is your word you know? The main issue was he stated it would take six hours and it took multiple days. What ended up happening in the end is that he was expecting that I would pay for them to learn about the solution he had recommended. I informed him I was paying for his experience and if he had none in this particular solution then he should not have recommended said solution. If I asked him to do something custom I would gladly pay the overages. But again this was his recommendation and he had never mounted this type of mount that he himself recommended. The customer should not be forced to pay for training time. Otherwise the customer could have taken that same time to do it themselves. Larry was supposed to come back on Saturday to finish the rest of the work as they couldn't complete it in the same day and he couldn't make it, we were waiting for him then texted me to say he would come on Sunday, "since the day had gotten away from him". He did come on Sunday and finished up. At the end the work they did was fine. Everything is functioning as it should and it looks good. If the communication, and time for install were better this would have been a five star review. All in all I don't think I'll be using his services again. There are other options that are less expensive which provide the same quality of workmanship. I've actually used them at home and at my company before. But I thought I'd give Larry a try...it was unfortunate that I was disappointed.

I had the pleasure to have Larry Goodloe of Smarthome-office Inc installed my HD CCTV security…read moresurveillance camera at my home recently. All I can say here is a business with integrity and professionalism! I contacted Smarthome-Office Inc after performing some extensive research on the web and calling all the different security camera resellers/installers and was not very impress with the extremely high quotes and reviews. I contacted a Yelp 5 stars TV-Installer.com John Maino who recommended Smarthome-Office Inc to me. As I trust John with his recommendation, I made an appointment with Larry. Long story short, Larry went out of his way to make sure everything was taken care off, educated me on security cameras and the difference between consumer products vs industrial business CCTV products. He recommended a Flir security HD camera system to me which I thought I was not able to afford only to find out with Larry dealer pricing, he was able to match a retail Swann security camera package with a Flir HD security camera package which is like buying a Mercedes and paying a VW price for it. The Flir system is so great, excellent pictures at night without lights and it sends me a text when the motion sensor detect movement at my front door, so whey UPS or FedEx drop off a package, it will send me a picture of the delivery person with my package. How cool is that? Larry told me his distributor had the Flir security camera system in stock only to find out the day he went to pick it up, they were sold out! So here we go I thought a few weeks of waiting, but NO, Larry found one 3 hours away and he drove there to pick it up and no extra cost to me. Larry spend 3 days at my house and only bid for one day, he told me he will cap the labor charge time off at the 10 hours he quoted but I was so happy with his work that I paid him double which is still less than the cost for the other CCTV dealers quoted. So Larry was happy and so was I. I had a lot of experience with contractors and all I can say is Larry was as good as they get, he was on time, very clean and meticulous with his work! This business is so good that I made it a point to tell all my friends and family to use this company if they need a CCTV system. My CCTV already helped me as we had a breaking & Entering on my block, first one we had since I been here for 16 years and I believe I caught the guys on video. With our police being stretch and cities not responding to alarm calls, I would highly recommend for you to step up and protect yourself with a CCTV as it is a great deterrent for these amateur criminals as they rather pick a house that is not protected by CCTV. Give Larry a call, he will sit down and let you know your options for CCTV cameras. Thanks again Larry, wish I can do more than giving you a great review for you and your company By the way, looked into Comcast home security, they don't keep the recordings so if you are on vacation and someone breaks into your home, to bad!.

Calling the store directly was my very first step after arriving home and realizing the cartridge was missing. I spoke with Store Manager Jason twice the day after my visit. He stated inventory was all in order and that nothing had been left behind on the counter. I pleaded with him to review the surveillance footage, but this was not done and thus the matter was not resolved and no meaningful assistance was provided at that time. After a call to Customer Service, escalation to the Office of the President and multiple calls over two weeks, I still received little more than generic responses and no indication that a real investigation had been conducted. Ironically, the issue was finally resolved only after I contacted the store again yesterday in the hope of speaking with another manager and was fortunate enough to reach Assistant Manager Brian W. He immediately reviewed the surveillance footage while on the phone with me and confirmed that the cartridge had indeed been left sitting on the counter after my transaction, unnoticed by the cashier after she became distracted by another employee. I visited the store yesterday, and was given a replacement cartridge by Brian. I do very much appreciate Brian's professionalism and prompt assistance in locating and returning the item. However, the broader customer service and escalation process was deeply disappointing and unnecessarily stressful for what should have been a straightforward matter to investigate. And I remain concerned that I was previously informed by Store Manager Jason that inventory was in order and that nothing had been left behind on the counter, whereas Assistant Manager Brian W. was later able to review the surveillance footage immediately and confirm that the cartridge had in fact remained on the counter after my transaction. I would appreciate understanding how these conflicting conclusions arose. I hope district leadership reviews how this matter was handled, because a simple surveillance review could have resolved the issue weeks earlier.

I bought a couple of back support items and they were great. Fast forward and my young adult daughter is having some back issues (possibly due to a long work commute), and I made an appointment for her at this store. You don't have to make an appointment but I knew she'd want some personalized recommendations. James, the store manager, assisted us. He was very helpful--knowledgeable about the products, listening closely to the issues and needs, and patient. He worked with my daughter for over 40 minutes, helping identify what she needed. Once the products had been trialed, he customized the fit on the possible solutions and then went to the car with us so my daughter could test them and n her car. There was no pressure put on her to purchase something. She did, however, and is hopeful that she will be in much less pain as a result. While she was being helped, I tested some mattresses. They carry some great options and I plan to return as soon as I'm ready to purchase one.
