We bought our first keyboard/digital piano here in 2014 after over 2 hours of testing different options and speaking with Don and Ben (thank you for your patience as we also didn't know too much English then!). I stopped my piano practice after 5ish years, but I loved coming back for seasonal recitals and looking through their new book selections! A few years later, they helped us decide on a real piano for our home. They worked with our budget and are super knowledgeable. They even did a complementary tuning upon delivery to ensure satisfaction. My younger sister has now moved out of town for college so it has been a year since I last stopped by, but I drove by the other day and felt drawn to leave a review. He proceeded to use scare tactics to try to get to buy from him. Once he learned that I had already made the purchase and I asked for him to tune the piano he refused to send his technicians to tune or look at the piano. Not a good business model. You're better off buying a piano elsewhere and if you're forced to work with them, be very wary of their scare tactics. EDIT: After seeing the owner's response to my google review, I have removed an additional star. Anyone reading this review need not read further than the owner's response to see their attitude towards potential customers. Truly a shame as they have a lot of potential.

I called several shops to ask about repairs but during each call, I was getting "attitude" over the phone from the employee due to my lack of piano/musical knowledge. I found this funny as I'm the one with the money and they're the lowly employee. Enough said. I searched the web and came across Jake's Piano Shop. Jake came over and took a good look at our piano. I explained to Jake I have zero knowledge in this area so dumb it down. Jake did. He too the time to explain what the piano was, what it needed, what he could do for us, etc. We hired Jake and he dismantled part of the piano, took what he needed to his shop, ordered parts, did XYZ, and came back 2 weeks later to assemble our piano. Jake hand tuned our piano using his hearing, and during the tuning process, he played the piano to attain the right pitch of each key. I was impressed. Again, I don't know music but I understand "craftsmanship" and Jake is definitely a Craftsman! NOTE: Jake, you play beautifully. I'm pretty much tone deaf so I can't hear the subtle differences but my family can. I clearly noticed the key "action" was 100% better, nice flow, spring action, etc. We'll be seeing Jake bi-annually/annually to maintain our piano from now on. I HIGHLY recommend Jake's Piano Shop.

Our kids are very, VERY happy with the service experience overall; the way this antique 3rd generation instrument sounds, feels, and performs; the professionalism and extremely detailed knowledge Manny exhibited while "on the job." My own piano, a very old upright Kohler Campbell--which ceased production of pianos in the U.S. in 1985--was last tuned 30-35 years ago. My mother studied piano on it from 1940 on, during her growing-up years. It is in tune with itself, but I'll be giving Manny's Tuning by Ear a call very soon so that it "sounds better." This piece is near and dear to my heart and deserves an excellent "tune-up." I can't think of anyone more qualified to restore this heirloom to its original quality of life!
