Not only was the woman behind the counter so friendly and polite, she was helpful. A few days later, she showed me the dress, and it looked fixed. When I arrived home to try it on, I could tell she did wonders. While the price I paid in the end was not the one she initially quoted, I was ok with paying slightly more as it involved fixing the hem and pleats of the bottom half of a dress as well as potentially adjusting the side seams where the pockets were. Additionally, she did caveat that she might not be able to fix the dress so I appreciated her upfront-ness. And so for the last two months, I have trekked to Farragut Square, greeting the folks behind the front desk and walking into the quaint space that is Barr Cleaners where the woman greets me by name and asks when I need my items. She is always flexible and can turn the items around within a day or two, if it's not a lot. Most of the times, I tell her she can take her time, and even still, it's only a couple of days, and I'm ok with that. The most recent dress I brought in clearly showed wear, and when I asked if she could take care of it, she smiled and said in her cute way, "No problem." Prices are a little pricey, but the service is worth it in my opinion.

As I inquired about the charge for the repair and expeditious service, James quickly replied that the repair was a "Thanksgiving gift." Everyone else was already a 4 but I'm a size 8, 6 on good days and if I didn't eat dinner the night before lol. Anyways it's always easier to get a dress taken in than let out cause you can't make extra cloth magically appear....but they did. They some how were able to find extra cloth from within the dress and made it into a size 6 dress! All with no visible signs or even seams! They literally made 4 inches of material appear and I was able to zip up my dress! All for under 70 dollars and they were able to turn it around in a week. Amazing.
