We now have done summer camps, after school classes, and individual coaching (Ross is the best!) with World Cup Soccer for two years now and the experience has always been consistently wonderful. We signed up our 4 yr old daughter for Saturday soccer classes through the Millbrae Rec Center. Class size was 8 kids. This is our daughter's very first soccer class, and Coach Alvaro was amazing - he is engaged, encouraging and high energy, and our daughter has had a ton of fun and learned some basic soccer concepts. Coach Alvaro mixes in some simple drills and makes it fun and then runs some 1v1, 2v2 and team scrimmages. All the kids seemed to have a great time with each class. We really appreciated Coach Alvaro and his class. This was a great introduction to soccer for our daughter. read more

I signed up my son for their summer camp at Milbrae location in 2023 June and it's a fantastic experience. I did not know anyone doing their soccer clinic (and only heard about this from another moms group on FB about their mid-peninsula locations). I had my share of worry of sending my son to a fullday summer camp where I knew nobody - but the dedicated coaches wiped off all my worries after meeting them on the first day! I also appreciated the coaches taking time to write a short evaluation for each child by the end of each week. As a parent, it's not just the feedback but I also see encouragemenet from the coach as well. Now I just regret for not signing my son for their clinics in the past with World Cup Soccer. The Milbrae summer clinic was held in the Taylor MS field and it's a perfect location - except there's not much cover area for kids to rest. Coaches always made sure kids have their sunscreen and reminded them to stay hydrated throughout the day. The parking lot is right next to the field so it made drop-off/pick-up a breeze. I definitely look forward to their clinics/after school program in the fall! read more

My 6yo daughter has tried soccer a couple times, but has never been a big fan. I thought it might have been because she was too young before, so we decided to give it another go, now that she's a bit older and has gotten more accustomed to playing organized sports. I don't know exactly what changed, but I do know that she LOVES soccer after attending World Cup Soccer. In just 3 weeks, she grew to be a confident player eager to learn new skills and apply them whenever she can - both in and outside of camp, with boys and girls of all ages! I thank Coach Theo and Coach Hector for developing her skills, confidence, and enthusiasm. They were attentive, engaging, and encouraging teachers that were very good about downloading me on my daughter's progress every day. The World Cup team and program were so good that my daughter has asked to continue with soccer during the school year. With the pandemic keeping us from interacting with kids outside of our school cohort, I thought it might be a challenge to coordinate this. But the director of the program has been so helpful and accommodating (and patient!), and has organized a private clinic for my kids and a handful of classmates. The kids (and us parents) are stoked! Looking forward to working with the World Cup team again! read more

Great camp for kids! My 8yo son really enjoyed his time here. The coaches were thoughtful and super engaging. They did an MVP award each day for kids - what a clever way to keep kids super motivated. We've done a lot of different soccer camps and this is one of the best ones we attended. They followed covid protocols. Overall great experience!! Will definitely do again on a holiday break and/or summer time. Hopefully enough kids sign up at a closer location to us (redwood city!). Otherwise the drive to Millbrae wasn't too bad. read more

My boys ages 5 and 7 just finished up three weeks at this camp. Of the three camps they did this summer, all of which they enjoyed, they said that they liked World Cup Soccer the best! When I asked why, they said that it's not just fun and games but the coaches really try to teach technique and develop their skills. Coach Theo was a standout teacher, every day he gave detailed feedback about what my 5 year old worked on, what his strengths were, what he could work on, etc. When I came to pick up the kids, most days they asked if they could stay longer because they were so intent on finishing up their game! I highly recommend World Cup Soccer for any child who is interested in soccer and wants to have fun and learn. read more
