I often drive 6th day up to their gym for their Saturday bootcamp, where it's a mix of cardio, core and boxing with warm-up and cool down. There's bigger name gyms out there with all the fancy machines, but you don't learn technique and don't get a complete workout. Now, I can do burpees, crunches and push-up with ease. I don't recall ever being so balanced in my fitness, meaning my cardio, core and strength is balanced. Side benefit is I don't slouch anymore! Side note, Patrick and Shawna also give back to the community and take in kids after school giving them a place to learn about exercise and boxing.

I do sometimes miss machines, so I'll take a day or two to hit the gym, but F45 is my main workout. This location is conveniently located close to 280/101. It's spacious, clean, the equipment is well maintained and the coaches are always upbeat and supportive. The unlimited pass is also flexible and lets you visit other studios which is convenient when I'm running late from work or traveling. What's unique about Crossfit San Carlos' facility is their green turf that allows us to do indoor sled pulls & pushes, handstand walking work, shuttle runs, etc. I truly appreciate that warm-ups are varied and not the same every day. The workouts are challenging and have given me results through sustainable progress. Since joining in Oct. 2024, I'm down 2 sizes from XL to Medium!
