Came here during Taco Tuesday. Only some tacos are $1 on Tuesdays. I tried these tacos from the menu: grilled carne asada, wagyu, grilled chicken, Hawaiian pork, al pastor, chorizo, tripas (intestines), and cabeza. They were all pretty good; some had an interesting taste since I've never had them before. I added on a jamaica drink, which was pretty good as well. Total came out to around $23. They have a salsa bar that's fresh along with hot beans and more. They have a nice patio area where you sit and enjoy your food along with the music they have playing on a screen. If you pay with a credit card, they charge you a 50 cent service fee; otherwise, just pay cash. If you try to use the check in coupon on Yelp, they said it's no longer valid... Staff were nice and efficient. The food was brought out quickly. Parking is limited. They have a really small parking lot. You can also park on the street, but that's very limited as well. read more

Really a horrible experience. Paid for 35 people, and was served food for only 20! We had to buy pizzas for everyone else at the party. The quality of the food was also poor. The rice was old, the tortilla chips all crushed. We paid to upgrade to flour tortillas as well ($50 extra) and none of the guests were served any! When I called to speak with someone and try to reach a resolution, they took a week to respond, and when they did, argued with me and insisted they brought enough. Catering event for 30 people: Everything was HORRIBLE, to the point I had to apologize to my guests and order food the day of. The meat seemed like it was made in a pan, not grilled. It was sitting in its sauce and oil like a stew and not great flavor. Your cook was not friendly nor very welcoming. And he decided to serve himself a plate during the event and eat in front of everyone when some of our guests had not even ate. I like to welcome our vendors to join us in meals, but that was communicated as an expectation from you and I think he could have done it towards the end of the event. The supplies seemed very limited. With salsa bottles half filled. The cheese ran out before the end of the event and I noticed the cook was about to serve a friend of mine a quesadilla with a disgraceful amount of cheese. I asked him if he was out and needed more because I didn't want him serving our guests that quesadilla. So I provided him with shredded cheese from our house. Lastly, you provide your server with a tiny pan to cook tortillas on. I take responsibility for not asking how a "server" cooks, but I've never experienced such a ridiculous tiny pan to heat tortillas. We have a nice grill and burners he could have used to look more professional. In addition to leaving business cards scattered on the serving table as if it was a time to promote business. The food and service would have spoken for itself, but unfortunately it didn't. A guest even asked if the cook was just starting his taco business and I was supporting his new venture. I said unfortunately not, this is a large company with a supposed good reputation. Overall, I am very disappointed and displeased with the service and food. This was my first experience with Taco Man, and it took place at a block party that they were catering, outside on a residential sub division Cul-de-sac. Taco Man was offering tacos filled with either Chicken, Chorizo or Steak. I chose the latter. The small tortillas were warmed on the hot plate grill, and filled with the meat. Then to the toppings table. I added chopped raw onions, cilantro and topped it with the spicy and creamy salsa rojo. Then accompanied my choices with pinto beans, grilled onions (wedge size pieces) and grilled halves of jalapeño. There was also Spanish rice. Overall, everything tasted wonderful. Superb blending of textures and flavors. The meat was tender, the onions perfectly cut and grilled, the jalapeños had the right heat and the grilled onions posessed the optimum crunch. Really enjoyed the beans too. Great service. Need to keep this contact information safe, just in case it is needed, down the road in the future. read more

First time customers I would be aware of poor communication with Taco man's crew, especially Robert after many calls to this so called team leader no call back about menu changes, etc. Also, I had to cancel my event because of a major rain storm in November. Confusing email connection with outside sources. I asked for my deposit back but no communication from management or from the owner Sal to offer my deposit refunded or any customer courtesy options. To add more disappointment I also included a pre tip with my deposit which added more insult. Unfortunately I will not do any business with Taco Man moving forward from this experience. Sad that I and my guests will never get to taste the tacos that customers rave so much about. I leave a one star if even that on rating. Their business model is excited about getting you on board but failing with proper communication and lack of interest and enthusiasm by the customer service for a first time customer in ordering. :( read more

If ethics, morals, and driving behavior are any indication of what the service and food safety are like- this might be the type of place that would drop your taco on the floor and still serve it to you. After reading some of the reviews, I decided to try the place until i was rear-ended by their one of the drivers on the freeway. As I made my way to pull over, the driver changed lanes to get farther from me and kept going. I gave pursuit enough to get in camera range to get a photo of the vehicle and then gave up as things got too crazy. Truth be told, there was only minor damage to my vehicle and soreness that will be resolved. Had the driver extended common decency to check on me or my vehicle, I would have settled the manner with a hand shake I will post a picture as a warning, in case he is ever behind you. Decided to give this spot another try. This time the Asada was on point not the best but way better than what they had a few months ago 8/10 Came in for the $1 taco Tuesday. 12 tacos and 2 large orchatas $24 and some change. The cashier was nice and we found street parking. They have limited parking as well. Not sure if indoor dining is still available however it was closed when we went around 2pm. Outdoor patio was only option. The outdoor sitting area smelled like human sh**t , especially when the wind was blowing, we switched seats multiple times and we just couldn't escape that horrible smell. I understand that they can't control what people do on the sidewalks by their sitting area but this is why they should have the indoor dining area open. There were only 2 people before us and yet it took them 29min to bring out our food. By this time we had lost our appetite due to the horrible smell. We each ate 2 tacos and got out of there asap! Now I understand why the place looked so empty even with $1 dollar taco special, saving a quick buck just not worth it. Would I recommend this spot? I paid $800 for 30 people- 3 meats, agua Fresca and mini churros. They only gave me enough food for 20 people before running out of food. (I had 22 people that needed to be fed). They only gave me 2 proteins instead of 3, and again, ran out of food. Not enough food at too high a price. read more

Asada isn't real asada, more like taco Bell meat. Atmosphere isn't has I expected but spot is clean and staff is very dry. I had to say " how u guys doing " ... Maybe I was just hungry but I ate most of the food but wasn't worth the 20 min drive. At least they give the kids markers to write on wall which keeps them busy. So that's a plus...... *update.... I was also told to try their asada, chicharron and mole. The asada was hella bussin and usually that is not my choice of meat when it comes to tacos. But the tacos you must get and try are the chicharron and the mole taco. The mole is a star of its own. A lot of places don't offer that type of taco. Recently found out about this gem, had the asada and al pastor them where fire. I love how they have have all the condiments and sauces so you can make it to you liking. The guacamole sauce was fire I drowned my tacos in them FIREEEEEE. Also there horchata was bomb I've been to other spots that don't know how to make agua fresca. Also was very impressed how clean the place is I went in on a Saturday and was busy but there staff is on it cleaning was on point, you can tell they actually care about customer experience which is rare now and days. First time coming here was when they first opened a couple months ago. Food was GREAT. Was very happy to have finally found a new taco spot. 12-22-22 will be my last time eating at this establishment. I should have known something was off when me & my husband walked in and it was empty. The Asada and the chicken had some sort of weird texture to it, like it's a cheap cut of meat and they mince it all up thinking you won't notice the difference with no added flavor. The Pastor was flavorful but really fatty. I don't know who the original owner/ cook was but they need to be here to oversea this establishment before they lose it. This business advertises prices such as one dollar tacos on Tuesday. This establishment has an Instagram page that I follow. This past Tuesday, they posed how they would again be selling one dollar tacos. One of their posts stipulated "one dollar birria tacos." As you can clearly see by my receipt, I was NOT charged one dollar for these tacos. This is not the first time that they have advertised one price and to my surprise, it's not that price when I get there. I want people aware of their bait and switch tactics. They should be ashamed. The prices are not so bad that they need to lie about them in order to get customers in the door. If you like being lied to, this place is for you. Definitely worth a stop. The food is fresh and it's bright and clean. Staff is awesome. I tried the asada and it was tasty, great seasoning! Try the cabeza and the Al pastor too. The cabeza is well seasoned and Al pastor has a good punch. The tortillas are heated properly and don't feel stiff or fall apart. The bean pot reminds me of mom's kitchen. Fresh pintos are nice and hot. I topped mine with the pico de gallo and some salsa. The salsa bar has some great options. Habanero salsa is legit and will clear sinuses. I ordered taco cart with 3 meats, enchiladas and guacamole package for 35 people...guy got there on time and stayed from 4pm to 7pm by himself (he was great didn't speak English) tacos were great, but no enough taco meat for 4 street tacos...also didn't bring the Enchiladas I had ordered. Guacamole package cost me $245.00. I got a bag of chips for 35 people and some sliced avocados, 2 bowls of pico de gallo and 2 bowls of pico de gallo with corn...according to their website this is what it should have included GUAC + PACKAGE + Chunky Guacamole + Guacamole Salsa + Pico De Gallo + Tortilla Chips I tried calling when he first got there about the enchiladas but no return call from them...I deducted money for enchiladas but then realized I didn't deduct the amount for guacamole package. I called and emailed and have waited a week with no avail...please be aware of the person you hire and everything had been confirmed a few days prior but still did not provide what was on my invoice. read more

I'm not sure where to begin. I'm really not one to leave reviews but I was completely shocked when I saw what was delivered. My husband hired The Taco Man for a surprise baby shower for me. Here are the pros and cons of our event experience. Pros: The lady assigned to our party arrived on time. Communication leading up to our event was fine. And food was decent (7/10). Cons: the lady assigned to our party arrived in a very sour mood making it very obvious that she was upset about something. She gave our guests bad looks and kept rolling her eyes. She seemed to not really want to be here. I felt I was walking on eggshells around her whenever I asked her a question. On top of that the presentation of the salsa table was terrible. She had no serving utensils, ran out of plates and napkins, luckily we had some spare disposable plates so we used ours. But when you are paying close to $1000 and you end up tipping 20% on top of that for a full taco service, this is NOT it. I am in the event industry and as a professional, I would never rehire a company that is not personable with guests, has an attitude throughout the entire event, and runs out of serving items - per agreed upon. Mind you, we paid for more guests than what we had arrive, so there is no reason they should have run out of items. Book them at your own discretion. read more

More rice in my burrito than cabeza meat. Love the taste and the salsas just the ratio of meat fell short in my burrito. Think next time I'll ask the taquero to put more meat in there. WARNING RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!! THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE EVER HAD!!!! Do not under any circumstance book the Taco man. If you have placed a deposit better you loose it now and move on to another vendor before your event is ruined. My husband and I booked the Taco man for our daughter's college graduation party for 60 guest. We booked well in advance for chicken tacos, beans and rice. A week prior we added potato tacos for 2 vegan guest. My daughter approached us during her party and ask where is the rice? When we went to check we were told by the vendor which was one person to cook for 60 people, which was ridiculous that the company ran out of rice but sent extra potatoes instead. My vegan guest then informed us that the potatoes were grossly undercooked, one of our guest even told the cook these potatoes (fresh diced potatoes that takes a long time to cook) needed to be put back on the grill. He put them on for a few seconds and they were still uncooked The beans (pinto beans) were also undercooked and hard as rocks . He ran out of taco shells and salsa. It was a disgrace. He also dropped food on the ground and did not clean it up. We contacted the Taco Man the next business day and spoke with Andrea to tell her how horrible the service was, and to ask how can they run out of rice even though this order was placed well in advance? Why did no one call and tell us? Why was our food undercooked? She said give me a few days and let me talk to the owner and I will get back to you. We waited a whole week she never replied. Clearly the owner is only interested in taking your money!!! Please do not give your business to the taco man unless you want your event to be ruined. Went there today because of the fuzz on Tik Tok plus they are less than 2 miles away and they were BOMB!!!! Meat was well marinated, the portion was fulfilling not too crowded but not too stingy. The sauces were so good too! They had a fresh batch of beans. Great service. They also had good agua frescas. We tried pastor (best), chicken, and asada. Soooo good!!!
