If Ikea and Pier one had a child, I think World Market would be created. They have high quality products, but with very reasonable prices. It's one of those places where you always discover things you didn't know you needed. This particular location will be set apart in my mind as they were having a beer and wine tasting throughout the store on the sunny Saturday my wife and I strolled through. They apparently d this once or twice a month! The selection of all things household was solid. We have an impressive range of items ranging from the furniture down to the utensils and everything in between. The selection of wine was very impressive and the sampling made for some easier decisions on what to grab! The beer selection wasn't overwhelming, but was an 8/10. Loved the selection of larger bottles and ability to make your own 6 pack, though it ran about $11 for the mix. The chocolate, sweets, drink mixes, spices and other peripheral pleasantries! Good place to grab furniture for your place, some decor or just some drinks for the evening. Helpful folks, good prices, overall legit!

Pretty standard fare with colorful employees. No complaints--just another solid visit to this import store.

Nowadays while I'm not sure they still have that je ne sais quoi about them, they are definitely still a nice place to shop for home products if you don't mind spending a bit. Something I like about west elm is that while they are pricey they aren't the most expensive. They tend to strike a chord between fancy and attainable, which is nice for a ton of people that want something decent in their house but don't want to spend a fortune. All of that being said, it's not cheap to shop here and when I come to this in person store it's mostly for browsing and to see if they have any random deals in the clearance area (they rarely do!). This location is clean and has plenty to take in. They used to have a local maker section that I didn't see this past visit, but that could just be user error. At any rate, this is usually a stop for me while I'm on the plaza. I just can't resist a good home decor shop!

They're bedding often has exaggerated floral…read morepatterns that go beyond dated into this sort of fashionable realm...we both really like it and can recognize its odd appeal from spending too much time at our grandmother's houses, I'm sure. I like walking through the Plaza location, it's airy and interesting (although if you aren't a 50 year-old yuppie, don't hold your breath to be greeted at the door.) The prices go above and beyond what I'll be able to afford in bedding for the next 20 years, but a girl can dream can't she? I fell in love with this dreamy classic, romantic-looking cradle with a golden silk canopy draped around the four posts - for a regal baby with wealthy parents. The price tag is like $2,000, but it would look magnificent in a well-planned nursery, a mother's dream crib. Last time I was inside, I was all too coolly ignored...so bad in fact, I wondered why they spent so much effort ignoring some people and not others! And when I walked to the back of the store, I guess I caught their eye because one woman was sent to "check" on me...basically, to see if I was stealing. Oh yes! What I would have loved to take from the towel department (sarcasm)! Beyond this, Scandia Down is a place to escape in. It has beautifully detailed home pieces and a woman who enjoys decorating with an either exotic or old-fashioned flair (they somehow cover both tastes quite well) - would be happy to look around one day while window shopping on the Plaza.

The items at Scandia Down are very posh and over-priced. They have a delightful array of soaps,…read morehand towels, throw pillows and decorative, scented candles, but this is certainly not a place that inspires adjectives like "exciting." There are many objects that are quite lovely, but much of the bedding and decorative linens border on "dowdy" with floral patterns that are anything but youthful. My greatest praise for Scandia Down is for the bed frame that I purchased here. It sits holds the box springs a full 18-inches above the floor, making it possible for a grown man to climb under the bed if necessary. (Anyone who has ever tried to take a reluctant housecat to the vet knows how wonderful this feature might be!) Scandia Down has models of some of the charming metal bedframes on the floor, and a thick catalog from which a bed can be ordered in a variety of styles, sizes and finishes.

This fantastic boutique doesn't have a ton of merchandise, but I want all of it. Well, not the ladies clothes, as I'm not a crossdresser. But if I were, I'd be a classy one and probably buy my clothes at George, too. Seriously, this store is nice! I'm impressed in particular by three areas: the pet stuff, their books and their dishes. Their little pet corner is small, but adorable. They had really great chew-toys, leashes, collars and dog bowls. The dog bowls would look fantastic in a modern home, and we plan on getting one of the collars for our pooch once her current one starts looking natty. Their collection of books is incredibly well curated. Lots of great cookbooks, cocktail guides and coffee table books. Also, they have a couple of kids books that certain parents would be way into, if you want your kids learning about CoCo Chanel and the like. Their dishes are all VERY nice (and quite expensive) and if I hung out with a higher tax bracket, I'd be hoping for wedding gifts from here. The store is just really pretty, as well. I was equally impressed with their fixtures and general ambiance as I was their merchandise. I'll be back for sure, as soon as I have some extra funds to spend on making my house look extra fancy.
