Dole whip Pineapple & Hitides tea
    Mindy P.

2 visits, 2 Dole Whips. If you can find Dole Whip in my hometown of STL, I have no idea where it is. I love this stuff so much I can't believe I went months between visits. This is the absolute best spot to catch up on work with a delightful snack. They have a variety of goodies from coffee to acai bowls and also pastries. All with the BEST Hawaiian vibe. Process is pay at the counter then pick up your food at the counter when it's ready. Smooth process, then you take your seat among green palms and Hawaiian decor, throw in some Hawaiian music and you have Hitides. I love this place.

Visiting KC and this place was one of the recommend places on Yelp! I reaaaaally wanted to like this place. I will say-- anterior, decor, and ambiance; yes definitely see the Hawaiian vibes. The staff was also really kind and helpful, esp with all the questions I had. However, the coffee itself was underwhelming. I've definitely had better elsewhere. Just wasn't my cup of Joe! And that's okay, I'm glad I gave it a shot! Cute place to visit, and a great study space. They also carry some sweet treats that I missed out on, but maybe I'll have to give it another shot! They have other beverages other than coffee, so maybe I'll consider something else if I ever stumble upon this place again!

Went here with a friend to check their summer menu. Love the atmosphere, very tropical mellow vibes. Lots of merch, arts, and decor here. They have plenty of varieties of drinks, food, and desserts. Friendly staff as well. They have Donut Ds and oh my so delish. I got their matcha and tasty as well. Can't wait to go back again.

Berry Hibiscus, Iced Sugar Free Caramel Latte and Macadamia Maple Donut

Today, my husband and I stopped in to try out this coffee shop and we were glad that we did! We really liked the ambience and the decor of it. It's a casual, relaxing place to enjoy a coffee or tea as well as Mr. D's donuts. The service was good and our order came out quickly. They have a good amount of seating that is comfortable. My husband got a berry hibiscus tea and a maple macadamia nut donut. He said both were good. I had a sugar free caramel iced oat milk latte. The espresso was good but the sugar free syrup was a bit too saccharine tasting for me. The bathroom has cool art work and was clean but out of paper towels at the time of our visit. They also have a shop to purchase items that were KC related. I also liked that they have extended hours compared to most coffee shops.

This place is pretty, feel really nice and chill to work and visit, I like the feeling of this coffee shop. Unfortunately, the drinks are very pricy. It looks pretty but the taste was not that interesting. Tried Hawaiian sunset, it doesn't have very much flavor, basically like cranberry juice with less sugar.

Hitides Coffee is such a cute and unique multipurpose space. Whether you're in the mood for small bites, coffee or matcha, a cozy workspace environment, or even a bit of shopping with great customer service--this is the place to be. My matcha of the day was a Salted Caramel Matcha with Salted Cold Foam, and my boyfriend ordered the Toasty Coast Coconut Cinnamon Latte. Once again, as someone who doesn't typically drink coffee, I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed his latte. This seasonal drink (must try for the coffee lovers) is bold and flavorful, with sweet notes of toasted marshmallow and a hint of coconut that balances it out so perfectly. My matcha was smooth and subtle, but the added salted caramel gave it a punch of flavor that made it so tasty. Since we do not eat much, we also shared the Spicy Hawaiian Honey Pizza Bagel, with one half topped with pepperoni and the other just cheese. The portion was more than enough for the both of us, as we both only ate half of or halved bagel, but every bite was beyond delicious, packed with sweet and spicy flavors throughout! What a great pick!

Super cute atmosphere with delicious coffee. Stopped in for a coffee with a friend and had a great time! The Hawaiian style was super cute and the on brand drinks were creative and delicious. I tried the Hawaiian macchiato. It had almost a nutty taste and was the perfect amount of sweet for me. I enjoyed walking around the local merchandise while I waited for my coffee. There were plenty of different options for seating which I very much appreciated as well. I will be back soon!

Coffee shop with great vibes as soon as you walk in the door. Plenty of comfortable seating throughout, with a merch shop inside. Staff was patient as I was reading over all the options! Was not the biggest fan of the wait times and our drinks were warm (ordered hot) but the flavor from the chai and latte made up for it! Vegan friendly

The two donuts that we got here were delicious! Not overly sweet and perfect amount of glaze. The donuts came out quick and it is a nice chill vibe to this place! I would be back to try other flavors! Lots of street parking!

This is my favorite coffee shop in Kansas City. I've been going for several years now. It's perfect for me because I'm not a huge coffee drinker and there's plenty on the menu aside from coffee like teas, juices, Matcha, chai etc. They also have so many fun treats and things to eat like açai bowls, Meshuggah bagels, doughnuts, banana bread, and they're constantly coming up with new menu items. The café itself is so adorable and aesthetic. There's so many little areas to not only sit and relax and get some work done, but also take pictures. The staff and the owners are so friendly and welcoming. They're always doing fun events for first Fridays, for example! Highly recommend the spot to grab a coffee or a drink and spend some time and feel like you're on vacation!

I LOVE THIS PLACE. The vibe on the inside resembles a Hawaiian store with Hawaiian decor, island music, and lots of unique seating. I ordered the black lava sea salt hot chocolate and was pleasantly surprised by the taste. It had a great amount of salt in it, not too much. last time i came i got a latte and a latte and it was also amazing! There is a kansas city shop inside this coffee shop that has local items. Great place for tourists or locals. Will be returning

Good vibe, visually stimulating, guests hanging out. I was passing through and did not purchase a coffee however I shall return.

Because every coffee should be in paradise. Visited one of my bucket list places in Kansas City. HiTides located in the crossroads is full of island vibes and Hawaiian flare. They have a seasonal menu full of delicious options. I tried the Mauna Loa Latte an Iced latte with coconut milk and mocha/macadamia nut syrup. This drink was a little escape to paradise. Combined with a warm Mr. D's donuts - berry hibiscus donut for a complete luau experience.

It's like a little bit of Hawaii, slow service and high prices, unfortunately without the friendly service.

These are so legit, the whole family loves them, and they've really carved their niche as the spot to go to. For starters, they really come as close as possible to nailing the true, NYC style bagel. They are perfectly balanced in their chewiness, fluffiness, and flavor. I'm partial to the everything bagel with a big of plain schmear (although they're good enough to eat on their own without schmear.) Originally I had thought bagels had to be toasted, but not here.. these stand on their own just as they are, and the untoasted texture is perfection. One time, loading up before a bike trip, I also tried their cinnamon raisin bagel paired with cinnamon sugar schmear and it was delicious. Definitely on the sweeter side as expected, but good for a treat to change it up. My girls love the salt ones, but damn, you could melt icy driveways with these things. They certainly live up to their name. I haven't branched out much to try the lox/salmon combos, but I'm sure they're good if that's your thing. Highly recommend!

Recently they changed from coffee refills to only one cup per charge which is alright. I will say for how busy they get during peak hours they definitely need bigger space and parking lot! The reason why I am not giving this place 5 stars is because of the lack of customer service. Both the cashier and barista were not very friendly. They were brisk. I tried to engage in a converation about their pastries and they seemed disinterested and just wanted to move on to taking orders and making drinks. They weren't even busy. I arrived an hour after they opend and the place was 10% full. The food was good. I got the avocado toast and with a littl more salt and hot sauce; it was delicious. The place also smelled amazing. I was engulfed in the aroma of cinnamon, sugar and butter and roasted coffee. I could not have been happier except for the lack of warmth and feeling of connection and a sense of community one often gets in an independent coffee shop. The hot latte I got was good. Oat-milk was $1.25 extra which I thought was a bit steep for Kansas City. But I guess prices/inflation affects us all. The ham and cheese croissant I got was super delicious. It was better than the avocado toast. I would get the croissant again. The rooftop area was a vibe. There were more people up there talking so it had better energy. I think on the first and second floor, most people were just working and on their laptops, so it was overall very quiet.
