Small portion for a bit too much money only gave me like 4 or 5 small pieces of protein on My bowl

My family went to WOB for Mothers Day. Everything was fantastic. FOOD: Try the Mac & Cheese Bites a 10, Black n' Blue Flat Bread another 10, Crab Dip really good a little too much cream cheese(too sweet), Chicken and Smash Sliders a 10 again. Service: Our waitress was GREAT, really sweet young lady. The place was packed. Atmosphere: What a pleasant place to gather and talk and have a really good time with friends and family. Beer: What a great selection of local and world wide beers! Looking forward to going back. Suggestion to management; Sell the beer flight and glasses as a gift set. You will make a fortune. My mother and I were in the area running errands and decided to stop in the restaurant for lunch. I wish we would have went elsewhere after the way we were treated. Our server, Lauren, couldn't mask her disdain for us as we were the only minorities dining. We had to ask repeatedly for simple items - plates, utensils, etc, that should've been common sense to her. Also, she rarely came back to check on us. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. The food was delicious when we finally received it. I know one bad waitress shouldn't reflect the entire restaurant, but Lauren needs to be taught that she will be waiting on all ethnicities and everyone should be treated with respect. If she can't learn that lesson then she needs to find a new line of work. Her disrespect reflected in the tip that I gave her -$ 0. Again, the food was delicious but it was an unpleasurable dining experience. read more

I usually don't like franchise beer places but I really liked WOB. They have a decent representation of local craft. More so in cans/bottles than on draught, but they are there in either form. Service was very helpful and friendly. I wasn't blown away by the food options and price, but the seared tuna Cali bowl ($17) I ordered was great. Guy next to me got the Birra quesadilla. Looked good but small for $15. They will let you try any beer. The happy hour was limited to mainstream beers for $5 (see picture) and one craft that rotates per month. It'd be better if the happy hour was a discount on all beers and apps. It'd was mainly a special on things I wouldn't get anyway... so not special for me. They also have a menu of nice looking cocktails, shots and shooters. It's a big wide open place that'd be great for a group happy hour or corporate event. Give it a try. Drink the craft!! read more

The service was amazing, i really hope they can keep that up. If you were 1/4 beer left, they were all over it. Tables were awesome had great views of all the TVs Food: Mac n cheese balls were really good. The side sauce compliments the thickness of mac n cheese well...citrus cuts through mac n chesse Burger was solid, tots were perfectly cooked Chicken wings were ok....4 plump wings and a leftover. When they say, "World of Beer," these folks aren't joking. They have so many different styles of brews on draft at once. Like where else in Naptown can you go and choose between 3 White Wheat Beers? Not to mention Belgian Goldens, Belgian Dubbels, Belgian Tripels, Belgian Quads, Belgian Dark Ales, Belgian Strong Pale Ales, etc. There must be 50 beers on draft to choose from here, at once. (If anyone knows how many beers they offer on draft, with certainty, please feel free to comment.) We were there when it first opened and loved the wings, flatbreads and a Hefeweizen. If you're not a shopper, let your family spend all day at Annapolis Mall and you can be a brew brat. read more

Waited an hour for food. Waitress never checked up on us either. Just sat waiting even with reservation. I understand the staff might have been struggling to keep up, but if your staff can't handle this many people, then don't seat this many people. There should never be a situation where I'm seated for an hour waiting for food read more

We went there after they had only been opened for a couple weeks! They did a great job with the service. The food was great, we went for happy hour and got $5 Naptown lagers, cheese curds and truffle fries! read more

Good food. Good beer. Good drinks. Service okay. Loyalty membership a nice perk if you go often.

Stopped in early April and the tables and seat were dirty and we had problems with our beer and food order, but the MOD at that time assure us that if we came back it would truly be different and the meal would be on her, so we went on vacation and last week when we got back in town we once again stopped in and again found dirty seats and tables. We ask for that Manager and found out she was no longer there, but the GM was, after telling him our story and showing our receipt from our previous visit, he blew us off but did offer us a beer which we declined. We had only returned because of the previous Managers offer, nothing special about the beer most brewery have some if not more variety, and the wings were just ok, we won't go back! Oh did I mention the place was empty, maybe the GM will find some customer service skills to keep the place from going under. If you stop in I hope your experience is better than ours, and bring a napkin you just may have to clean off your seat like we did! read more

The bartenders seriously need training . Our waitress took our order 2 bottles of beer , 3 drafts and nachos , 6-7mins later brought one bottle of beer and the nachos, 10-12 mins after that the rest of order . The waitress was standing at bar waiting . 2 bartenders appeared to be behind bar . Not sure what was going on . Like the atmosphere. Hostess and our server were very friendly. read more

We have been anxious to try this place since it opened. We went for a late lunch, the restaurant was only about 20 percent filled. Our server seemed like we were interrupting her day. We waited over an hour and still never received our food. The GM checked on us twice. The first time, we said we hadn't received our beer that we had ordered half an hour earlier (as soon as we sat down) or our appetizer. He said he'd comp our drinks. We saw him speak to our server and then she walked by and didn't even look at us, put the drinks on the table as she ran past and ran away. We never saw her again. We gave it another 30-45 minutes and still never received our food. When the GM came back a second time, we told him we had to leave. I was disappointed because options on the menu all sounded good! I've never had such abysmal service at a restaurant. We won't return, unfortunately. read more

This place was a huge disappointment; both service and food were awful. I'd looked up their beer list online before we went, but the beer I wanted wasn't on the restaurant's list (and yes, I've double checked that I looked on the site for the Annapolis location and not another of the WOBs). The server didn't even know what a Bock beer is, which is unsettling given the name of this bar/restaurant. After a lot of frustration, I finally just settled for my fall-back, a draft Yuenling. And then I waited and waited, and finally the server reappeared and I asked what was up with my beer and he went off to the bar -- where it had apparently been waiting for a while. Next disappointment is that the bar tender apparently does not know how to pull a draft, because the beer was down a half-inch as if someone had already taken a gulp. Equally frustrating was my wife's attempt to get a regular Coke. The server kept saying 'oh, you want a diet coke,' and she'd repeat 'no, a regular coke.' This interaction happened several times. But -- you guessed it-- what he brought was a diet coke. We ordered wings with Korean sauce, but the wings were completely undercooked; still pink inside, flaccid skin, and unrendered fat. Basically, inedible for us. For our main meals, I ordered a burger and fries and my wife ordered the fried shrimp, which came with a side. She opted for a side salad, but once again our server proved unable to understand basic language: my asked for iceberg lettuce in the salad instead of the "mixed greens." The server kept repeating, "so you want mixed greens instead of iceberg," and my wife would have to correct this misinterpretation. This happened at least four times, before he said he'd substitute iceberg for the greens. My burger came out and was yet another disappointment. The meat was mealy and the sauteed onions were way overcooked; I left most of it. But I guess I was lucky, because my wife's fried shrimp didn't appear, just a huge salad (not the side salad she'd ordered). Our ever-helpful server asked if we needed anything else, and my wife said, "yes, my fried shrimp." I watched him walk over to the computer and start typing -- translation: he hadn't put her order in. After a while, he appeared with something that looked like an appetizer, but was not the fried shrimp entree. We sent that back. If ever there was a "one and done," it's this place: don't have the beer advertised on their website; can't pull a decent draft; don't know the types of beer; undercooked chicken; overcooked onions; mealy burger, wrong salad; missing entree. Too bad, because this place is convenient to us, and the physical layout is nice. read more

Very nice ambiance, impressive menu, good food, good service, and reasonable prices. Not that it matters to patrons, but the name, an acronym, is confusing and probably responsible for losing a lot of potential customers. I know we drove by it for a couple weeks before hearing someone mention it, and we've heard a number of people say the same. And it's not just the use of an acronym; the name 'World of Beer' does not connotate a restaurant. Very poor thinking. read more

We had been one time before a few weeks ago and sat at the bar. We got the cheese curds and they were good. I got the WOB salad and it was mediocre. Husband got the black and blue burger and it was great. Drinks are good. Fast forward a few weeks to today. Sat in a booth. Waited 10 minutes before a server came over after we asked. Wings were good. My dragon fruit cocktail was great. Husbands mule was good. Here is where it nosedives. Server was flustered and distracted from the get go. My meal came out over 25 minutes after being ordered. It appeared to fill half of the bowl and looked like an app size. I asked if this portion was correct. Server took it from me and had it remade. Came out not much better than the first time. Taste was mediocre. My husband never received his burger until we asked for it. I finished my meal and the server finally came out with it over 20 minutes later. We told her to take it back and take it off the tab and bring us the check so we could leave. We were there over one hour and 15 minutes. It wasn't really crowded when we got there. So not sure what was going on in the kitchen. The server was in tears and apologized. She finally told us she forgot to put the burger order in with my salad. So clearly something going on with her. We will likely never go back. It really wasn't so much the service as much as the food is not consistently good. read more

Came in on Monday for lunch, Jordan was our bartender and made sure to take such good care of us. The bar was pretty packed but he did an impressive job at mitigating it! Food was awesome and the service was excellent. Will definitely be coming back! read more
