We tried this place for lunch in between the Holidays on a weekday. We ordered the large specialty white pizza and it was very good. Tasty with very fresh ingredients. We also ordered a small salad and it was small and basically average for the price. Mostly iceberg lettuce which had no nutrients and the dressing was not good. In general, the place has a very nice atmosphere but is seemed a little unkept and a bit rundown in some areas. Especially at the drink dispenser area. We sat by a nice window table and it was a warm sunny winter day. Service was quick but there were only about 10-15 other diners there . I would say the prices are fair. Like any restaurant these days , everything is so inflated. They try to push a minimum 22% tip on you at checkout with a card. It really gets in my craw when retailers and restaurants do that. I was nice enough to give a 20% tip. We may return someday to try some of the other pizzas. Beyond that, I'd say this place is nothing to write home about. read more

We were looking for a sports oriented joint where we could dine lightly and watch the Eagles-Commanders game. Wouldn't a sports bar subscribe to Prime to get Thursday Night Football? Apparently not. In fact there may have been a little annoyance at even being asked. So, we decided to stay, have a pizza and watch the game on my phone while sitting at a deuce hightop. Neo also had a Yelp check in offer that took us by surprise, so we asked for their Meatballs appetizer. We also ordered two drafts to help salvage the evening. Those suds never arrived, but we did receive the meatballs, which were pretty good. They make a heavy red gravy there, with a nice thickness and spice. The pizza was a thin crust margherita style, but wet in the center. It couldn't hold its edge, but had decent flavor. The room was modern with long bar, white tables, chairs and stools. It had a cool chill vibe, but I can't say it was Italian or even Italianate. Perhaps, it was the way the experience started out, or the failure to deliver the Pilsner's we requested, or the weird response of staff when the Yelp bonus popped up, but nothing felt right about our time with Neo Pizza. 2.5 Stars is as far as I can take this moment. Omg! The California Club sandwich with the onion rings is the best thing EVER. I am obsessed!! I order my dinner from here every time I am working in the area. The sandwich is perfectly toasted with turkey and cheese. It's amazing. The sauce on the side is 100/100. The onion rings have a hint of funnel cake flavor that I love. I think I must be addicted as I normally don't care for sandwiches like these. I usually order via DoorDash and my order never takes more than 30-40 minutes. I love it! Honestly hate that I have to write a review about this because my experience is the past has been nothing but the best. Today, after a long day at work I chose to sit at the bar and grab a quick glass of wine. I waited for almost ten minutes and was never acknowledged by staff... the bartenders looked pretty young and inexperienced, a blonde girl and young guy with black hair. Another couple sat down and were immediately greeted with menus and waters, still no interaction with me. I was patient and didn't appear to be upset. The fact that someone who came in ten mins after me and was greeted and acknowledged before me just because they were known as regulars, still isn't ok from a service perspective. Once the two bartenders walked past me, I had to grab their attention to get a drink, I should have left but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I got my wine, but was never asked if I wanted food or another drink. I'm starving and would have ordered something to go. It felt as though I was non existent and didn't feel welcome. I probably will not be back and certainly won't recommend Neo for good service. read more

Bottom Line: Delicious flavor combinations whether it be on a pizza or salad. I love a pizza place where you can sit down, settle in and enjoy a pie and pint. Neo certainly fits that description but admittedly my husband and I are more likely to get take out these days. What I appreciate about Neo's is their fun flavor combinations whether it be in a salad or on a pizza and their good selection of local beer. Most recently my husband and I ordered the Arugula Salad and The Great White Pizza. The salad had roasted butternut squash, shaved parmesan cheese, different colors of beets and some other goodies in it. We got ours topped with salmon and it was delicious. I would have been completely satisfied if we'd only shared a salad but I couldn't resist ordering one of Neo's pizza too. We tried The Great White Pizza for the first time and we'd definitely get it again. The combination of chicken, bacon, goat cheese, mozzarella and caramelized onions made for a hearty protein packed slice. The parking situation still isn't great. Neo has some spots for pickup but they were all taken when we got there so I jumped out of the car and my husband circled like a shark until I appeared on the curb with our dinner. That is typically how we do it. But, for those wanting to park and dine in, there are plenty of spots in the adjacent garage, they just might be on a higher level and require a bit of a walk. We decided to grab a quick early dinner here because it was the closest restaurant to the Tesla Supercharger station at the Town Center. We thought it was just a pizza place (and were fine with that) so were pleasantly surprised when we walked in and found they have a decent menu full of other options... burgers, salads, sandwiches. They have two seatings options when you walk in. One is counter service... you order, get a number and go grab a table while you wait for your food to be brought out. Then they also have full service tables (marked as such) where you have a server. We opted to do counter since we didn't want to hang out too long. This is the reason why the place is only getting four stars instead of five. Our food took awhile to come out. My husband had ordered a burger with kettle chips and I ordered a grilled chicken club with kettle chips. No special few or changes. But we easily sat there waiting for 25 minutes before our food came out. And they weren't busy since it was an early dinner time. Maybe only 3-4 other groups in the whole restaurant. I would have expected, with counter service and all, that the food would have come out a bit faster. That said, we were very pleased with our meals. His burger was cooked correctly and was thick (but no too thick) and juicy. And my club was superb. They use argula and spinach instead of your standard iceberg (or similar) leaf and this really gave it a great texture and flavor. I don't even normally like red onions but I didn't mind them in this because all the other flavors made them less noticeable. Overall I would definitely recommend this place and we would definitely stop here again. I will just be aware next time that even though it is counter service, it is definitely not quick. read more

They have tons of options and although I wanted pizza, I decided to try their chicken strips and fries. My husband got the Philly cheesesteak pizza. Since it wasn't crowded our food came out pretty quick. The flavor of tenders I chose was honey old bay. They were flavorful and juicy. I paired them with ranch, but I must admit I should have ordered the honey mustard sauce as well. The fries were crispy and hot. The only thing I did not enjoy was the slaw that came with it. It lacked flavor. It could easily be elevated with some citrus or creamy component. The pizza was crispy and delicious. I tasted it and realized I probably should have ordered pizza. They have the perfect crust, delicious toppings and overall a great dining experience. My wife order her pizza and I ordered my own pizza. When my pizza came to the table it didn't look like it had xtra cheese. So I took it back and asked someone is this a xtra cheese pizza and they said No! So they said they would make me a xtra cheese pizza. Then the waiter came back and said they are going to give us the reg cheese pizza that I brought back to them. Five minutes later the waiter came back and took the reg cheese pizza and said we had someone order a small cheese pizza. We ordered delivery and for reference , I dislike pizzas but this place is an exception. Even the pickiest person raved about her cheese pizza without sauce! Order the Chesapeake with mushrooms and Roma tomatoes. It has a hint of Old Bay, crab meat and is absolutely delicious. The mushrooms and tomatoes were add-ons and really pulled the whole thing together. Chose this with a cauliflower crust that was thin and flavorful. Goodfellas Pizza This has so much garlic that you tasted nothing else. It was terrible, I ended up throwing it out. If you enjoy garlic then this is the pizza for you. Motown classics played in the background while I feasted on Neo's wonderful pizza. Who knew soul music fit hand in glove with Neapolitan style pizza. Add to all of that a fine craft beer selection and good wings. The sum total had me personifying the lyrics to the great Stevie Wonder song "Baby, everything is alright, uptight, outta sight!" The pizza is similar to other popular wood or coal fired, build your own places like Mod or 1000 Degree. Less toppings than those places but the toppings were more than plentiful for me. The caramelized sweet onions, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, and shaved ribeye was a solid winner that I would return for. Would that the sauce was a bit more robust but that is a small quibble. The wings were good. Twice cooked (fried then finished in the pizza oven) they had a nice char and were cooked perfectly. Again, I wish the wing sauce was more robust. I had to add hot sauce and they do not carry Louisiana Crystal, Tabasco, Franks, or Texas Pete's. The hot sauce was Cholula's which was actually very flavorful (may add to the "hot sauce in my pocket swag" rotation). The blue cheese was good too, just a notch or two down from the champion Wing Stop blue cheese. All in all a solid, very meaty, Buffalo wing. The craft beer selection was on point and would make for some great pairings with the pizza, wings, and other items. I am a lager guy (do not judge me) and the two lager choices were very good. They had a large selection of Moscow Mules and vodka crushes. The service was excellent and well paced. The ambiance was reminiscent of what an old pizza parlor may have been like after modern updating with an infusion of natural light, good lighting, natural wood surfaces, open kitchens, and chalk board menus hand printed in different color chalks. I wish all communal seating high top tables would go the way of the Dodo bird, but alas Neo has that too. The prices were very fair and when I checked in on Yelp they offered a free appetizer that I used on a small plate of wings! Yelp again for the win! Redeeming the Yelp offer was a breeze too, the server knew exactly what it was and what to do. Neo pizza will be added to my Annapolis restaurant rotation. The vibe, the service, the food, the beer, the soul grooves playing over the not too loud speakers. Just a nice spot to enjoy some pizza and brews. Four stars for Neo Pizza. read more

Went here for the first time since moving to Annapolis last week. We started with "Zuccini Fritti"- a delicious large portion of fried zucchini wedges with sauce. Delicious. We then had a 14" specialty pizza called Fuego- marinated chicken, chorizo sausage, jalapeno pesto, Chipotle aioli and pepper jack cheese. This pie is the spiciest ands tastiest pizza I've had. The menu is more than just pizza. Cannot wait to return. They also have specialty burgers, sandwiches and more. I also had on tap- Vienna Lager from Devil's Backbone Brewing Co.- delicious beer. I've been here a few times in the last several weeks. In fact, it may become my go to spot when I travel for work to Annapolis. As with most restaurants right now they are short staffed, but the staff that did show up do a great job. Their pizza and sandwiches are very good...I won't touch what they claim to be a "Philly cheesesteak" as the description is abysmal and being a Philadelphian, you don't order that (or try to make it) outside of Philly. In fact, do yourself a favor Neo, get rid of that monstrosity quickly! Anyways, I digress. The rest of the menu is pretty damn good. I most recently had the cheese curds with a few draft beers (they do a happy hour special if that's your thing). The meatball sub was very good and extremely filling, I didn't need to eat the rest of the day after eating that monster for lunch. It's good but nothing special really- the service was pretty average but I do wish they had checked on us more because I had to flag people who weren't our waitress down for more water. The food was good. I got the 10" fuego pizza which was good but not amazing. Two of my friends got the BBQ pizza which they really liked and then another two got the Great White which they really liked as well. I also ordered the zucchini fritta which was tasty. I also got the calamari but it was one of my least favorite calamari dishes I've ever had honestly. It had no buttery crunchy/crispy exterior. It was basically a hot naked squid ring without any flavor. We went for happy hour but only the drinks are at a discount. Drafts are half price, bottles are $2, and house wines are $3. Most of their drafts ended up being $4-5 (at half off). I liked the Funk Bikes! draft a lot. They only give you the cocktail menu if you ask but they do have crushes and mules and more. The restaurant itself was clean and there's lots of seating inside. They were very well staffed. High tops and bar are full service and the low tables are order at the front. Overall, okay-subpar experience here. If their food was a little cheaper or they had a happy hour menu, I'd be here more often but I'm going to check out some other places for happy hour for now. read more

Came here because my boyfriend's goddaughter had her birthday lunch here. I'm on keto and I was prepared to not have any pizza because I didn't see cauliflower crust on the online menu. I was prepared to have just wings and brussel sprouts. We get here and first thing I see on the menu inside was "we now have cauliflower crust." I was so excited because I really missed going out and having pizza. It was $2 extra but o didn't care because I do appreciate that Neo think about their customers that have dietary restrictions. I ordered the 12in Florentine pizza on cauliflower crust. It was soooo good and very satisfying. My boyfriend ordered some buffalo garlic parmesan wings as well and I tried one. They were pretty good as well. Next time, I would love to try the Brussel sprouts. I like the setup of the restaurant. You can either dine on or carry out. I've been wanting to try this place for a while. After fasting for some bloodwork, I decided to grab some pizza for lunch so I ordered online. They don't allow you to go inside the restaurant to pick up takeout orders. When you arrive, just call and someone will bring your order out when it's ready. I like it because it's convenient, almost as good as drive-through service. Don't forget to check in on Yelp. You'll get a free small entrée a.k.a. an appetizer. Since it's a pizza place I decided to try a pizza. I got the 10 inch great white. Why get a traditional pizza when they have so many lovely options? The great white topping included olive oil, crumpled goat cheese, marinated chicken, caramelized onions, arugula, applewood smoked bacon, spicy aioli and mozzarella cheese. Usually, white pizzas have a white sauce. I don't believe this one did though. The toppings were so good and flavorful that you didn't even miss the sauce. I love goat cheese and this is the first time I had it on a pizza. Not disappointed at all. It's even better combined with mozzarella cheese. All the flavors and textures going on in this pizza just made my taste buds happy. There's the smokiness from the bacon, the soft bites of goat cheese, the salty from the mozzarella, the arugula on top for a little greenery, a slight sweetness from the caramelized onions, & and a little crunch from crust. I'm starting to realize that caramelized onions taste so much better on pizza than raw onions. Don't sleep on the pizza crust. The crust was really good. It's not thick crust but it's not thin either. I feel like it's a combination thin crust and regular crust if that makes sense. I'll be back and I'll try to resist the urge to order the great white pizza again. Let's see how that goes. read more

While waiting on the waitress which seemed to take longer than it should given that placed was busy, but not packed, decided to skim Yelp review. I was pleasantly surprised to read how their pizza is the single greatest work of culinary genius since the invention of the arm as a napkin. Some AI bot or paid reviewer (hyperbole and unnatural lingo is always a give-away) blathered on about how the onion rings were blessed by Christ and evoked a cake hole orgasm. So here's the real deal. The pizza was...meh. Not terrible, but worlds away from the best pizza around. They get knocked down a star for the waitress who kept reaching over and invading space and for not putting cheese on the thing even though she came back specifically asking about that--but didn't pay any notice after it was delivered without that same cheese. Terrible service and long wait times. Came here at 8:00 on Labor Day Friday. Place wasn't busy at all. Took seats in the "full service" area and waited. About 10 minutes later we were finally acknowledged by a random server that "someone" would be right with us. I'll fast forward from here...40 minutes later we got our burned BBQ wings and 1 hour in we got our small pizza.
