This review is long overdue. I was taken here for my birthday back in November and had such a good time. We did the "Darkest Hour" escape room and had to match wits with the serial killer. So fun. I'm kicking myself for not being able to remember the name of our game master (tall woman, red hair?) so, I'm sorry for that. But she was terrific. Knew when to let us try to figure things out on our own, and knew just when we might need a hint to nudge us along. She ran a great game and made the experience so much fun for us. The game itself is challenging. You really need to pay attention and use your head. The production value is terrific and the layout of the room is amazingly creepy. If you're looking to have a good time with friends and want to do something different, I recommend Mission Escape Games. It's a ton of fun. read more

4.5 rounded up to 5*. The only negative was that the place was a bit run down. Other than that, we had a GREAT time! Everything was well-organized and the staff was incredibly friendly! One of our team was running late and the staff was very accommodating in letting her in after our start time. The puzzles were interesting and creative, and just difficult enough to make it fun! We escaped in the end! You can have photos taken afterwards. I would definitely go again and try one of the other escape scenarios. read more

Easy and organized check-in process, fun game masters, and a lot of little extra silly things to mess with you when you are in the escape room. We did the horror room, The Darkest House. Mission Escape Games is tucked away on the second floor of the Anaheim Garden Walk, and it's absolutely worth a visit. Booking online was super easy - lots of available time slots and clear options for their five themed rooms (priced at $39 per person). They also seem to accommodate walk-ins but I still recommend making a reservation to secure your spot. We planned an escape room outing last minute and did a booking over the phone. They were super accommodating. My group chose The Nemesis since we have already done their other rooms and this theme is a great addition to their collection. It is a little bit on the harder side so I would not recommend doing this one first if you're new to escape rooms. My only gripe is that they used AI images for some of the visuals and it still looks strange to me but the puzzles themselves are solid! There were five of us and that was the perfect amount. This room specifically had linear and nonlinear elements, so everyone had something to do. Big shout out to Faith, who made the experience even better with an awesome attitude and the straightforward instructions. At the end, they take a group photo and email it to you. They also let you take a photo with your phone. Tip: Don't forget to bring your parking ticket - they validate it for you! read more

Mission Escape games is located on the second floor of the Anaheim garden walk. I do recommend reservations but I do think they can accommodate walk ins. Booking is easy which is done online with ample of time slot choices and 4 escape room options that are $39 per person. We did the bank heist and it was a good time for sure! We did this room with only three of us and the employee said it's a bit better with more people as you have to travel throughout the rooms but we managed and made it out with 1 minute to spare! Shout out to Kayla for the hints and being very informative and fun. They also take a group photo at the end and email it to you which is appreciated! Second time coming here. The first time, I played Escape the Hideout, and this time I did Operation: End of Days. Both escape rooms were very well thought out, with completely different challenges and no overlap between the two. Each room was nicely decorated to match its theme, which made the experience more immersive. I was able to escape both rooms and really enjoyed my time here. The staff was friendly and made the whole experience fun and welcoming. read more

I came here with family for a fun activity while visiting. We had such a fun time completing mission hydeout. Our game master did a great job explaining the rules and hints of the game. The hints that were given were great in timing and didnt give away too much information. For half of our group this was a first time escape room, and this was a great room for beginners. Everyone in the group had a fun time and this left us wanting to do more escape rooms. The room was well decorated and hints dispersed throughout the room so everyone had a chance to figure out a puzzle. Park on the 4th floor of the parking garage for closest access to the escape room location. They will validate parking that lasts 35 minutes after leaving. read more

Given our 12 person party, we split up into two groups to conquer each the Darkest hour & End of Days. Best Birthday Ever (and also mild trauma, but in a fun way) This was our second time at Mission Escape Games, and once again, they successfully trapped my son's birthday party crew in a room for an hour -- so, basically parenting WIN. We did The Darkest Hour, which was appropriately spooky but still teenager-friendly (no actual therapy needed afterward... probably). The storyline was solid, the puzzles were clever, and most importantly, Lee was an escape room wizard. Upon hearing it was my son's 16th birthday, Lee went full birthday ninja and snuck his name onto a BLOODY FRIDGE -- which is honestly the coolest and most disturbing gift he's received to date. She even gave him a special task during the room, making him feel like the chosen one (and probably insufferable to his friends for a week). Massive shoutout also to Joel, who hosted last year's party for Operation: End of Days -- hands down the best escape room we've ever done. Joel is 98% of the reason my son wanted to come back this year (the other 2% was probably the idea of locking his friends in a room and bossing them around for an hour). Pro Tip: Keep your party crew to 6 people max for optimal puzzling. Any more, and someone's going to be stuck in the corner pretending they know how to open a lock. One of my fav escape room spots in OC!! I've done 3/4 rooms so far - just did their Bank Heist and End of Days room, both of which were super immersive experiences and had unique challenges to each room. My friends and I ended up doing both rooms back-to-back and were able to escape both, End of Days being a little more difficult as it is a very unique environment and a lil scarier but not at all a horror room. I'd say their rooms are on the pricier side but ik they occasionally have promo codes (e.g. for weekday games) and they do have great production quality that make for exciting group activities. All the workers there are super nice and helpful + a special shoutout to Alexis for being such an amazing gamemaster!! I'd love to come back if they have more rooms...or whenever I muster up the courage to take on the serial killer room... read more

Booked a last minute escape room the day of on a Tuesday night! We had no problem booking for a group of 6 since it was in the middle of the week. We parked in the garage and remember to bring in your parking ticket to get it validated! Be sure to come in early so you can sign the waiver. We chose the DARKEST HOUR and let me tell you I was scared to my bones :'c they did a really good job with theatrics and the escape room itself was set up really well! We reserved The Darkest Hour escape room online, and they have availability for the same day. It is located on the 4th floor of this mall that is across Downtown Disney. Our game master has a very lively personality, and he explained everything very clearly. There were limited light source inside this escape room. All the furnitures and props were well made. They did not look cheap at all. The room was creepy and scary, but we beat it with 3 min left for just the 2 of us. Parking is free for the first hour, and they validated us for the second hour. Will come again for other escape rooms. read more

The setup is very nice. High production value and difficult puzzles. These are the only reason it gets 2 stars. The game master was AWFUL. The preset clues are AWFUL. We mashed the clue button for almost 10 minutes and didn't get any help. Frustrating when you're trying to do a room with a couple of kids trying to have fun and escape. read more

I went to this escape room for my 29th birthday with a group of 5. We did two consecutive rooms: Operation End of Days and The Darkest hour. I appreciate how the puzzles make sense for the rooms. I have had escape room experiences during which the progression of steps and puzzles did not fit the genre or narrative, and were so vague. Tiffany was our game master and I cannot stress how great of a GM she is. She was very enthusiastic, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We finished End of Days with time to spare and The Darkest Hour was not ready yet because another group was still solving it. During this time, Tiffany sat with us and was asking us about our interests and gave us recommendation for other rooms and locations we could try next time. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of until it was time for the Darkest Hour. 10/10 would recommend ! read more

There are plenty of parking spaces in the garage and it is pay to park, but the escape room will validate your parking. The escape room is located on the 2nd floor. Once you arrive, you sign waivers and once everyone is here, the staff will show you to your room and you can get started. We did the Darkest Hour theme room and it's supposed to be the scary theme (but no live actors). The puzzles were great and not too hard to solve depending on your group. You also get unlimited hints if everyone in the group agrees to a hint. Overall, great story, puzzles, staff, and theme.
