pon is literally one of the nicest artists i've ever met. the shop was SO welcoming and it felt like i was just hanging out with my best friends for a few hours. he's not heavy handed (thank god) and he makes sure to really saturate your skin with ink. he has thousands of awesome pieces of flash to choose from, or he'll work with you to create an awesome custom piece. the prices are super fair, and it's truly a gem of a shop. if you're in NYC, skip the aesthetic shops you see on tik tok and go to a shop that cares about their community and their customers. also, the guy was literally on ink master. like, he's really good. thanks for being a friend man read more

This was my second time at World's Fair Tattoo, because the first was so good. First time I got a killer tattoo on my forearm, designed with my input from one of their several gifted artists. I was so happy with the first results that I asked about PERMANENT TATTOO EYEBROWS. I'm 59 and both age & illness have made me look older than I can accept; I'd stopped looking at my reflection bcz thiiiiin eyebrows took my expressiveness away. While I used to have to pluck regularly to shape and separate a unibrow - my face had come to look incomplete, almost blank. I worked with tattoo makeup specialist MIMI LABELLE, and the experience was nothing short of wonderful. I applied a similar criteria as the rules I have for my (too many) doctors : always choose the busy specialist. Mimi's at World's Fair in Astoria by APPT ONLY bcz the rest of the week she's in fancy, high maintenance Manhattan shops, who charge (easily) double for the same services. She travels to Queens, I'm guessing, bcz she likes the real-ness of World's Fair Tattoo & its celebrity-owner Pon. So even tho her skills are mint, she's still down to earth, friendly and funny. Mimi's technique advertises her experience - my brows are identical to what they had been, natural style, bcz I want to look like me, not somebody else. I didn't think to bring a picture, but Mimi identified my natural brow lines, listened to my goals, told me what works and doesn't (about fading, aging skin), and spent valuable time on color matching, explaining how she could mix colors so I'd never get the dreaded "blue eyebrow" fading I've seen on brows done by lesser artists. Lo and behold, 3 weeks later I come across our wedding pic. Exactly the same eyebrows but alot less work for me!!!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY (plus nice tip). Now I can't help but glance at myself and see my eyes smiling. And Mimi has got to be the best makeup deal in NYC. As noted, she charges much more in those fancy bougie Manhattan shops - so the discount in Queens is well worth the trip (and there's a subway like 100 paces away). But also, Mimi offered a free touch up session for two weeks later (healing time). She spent an hour on that - NOT bcz mistakes, but for fine detailing. She saw what I couldn't. I'm sure somebody might do it for cheaper - but not at Mimi's skill level. And if my review isn't enough - I also went back for tattooed eyeliner (and free touchup). For this she charged only shop minimum (repeat customer), which I'm sure is a fraction of the prices charged in Manhattan shops. Take it from this picky boomer with high-standards and who appreciates skill, real-ness and a bargain. You won't be sorry. read more

I have heard of This PON DUDE who LOVES to sketch & make Pigeon related pieces so since I was BIG into the collecting Vinyl figures, Prints, & actual sketches in my ARTIST ONLY BlackBook lol that was it I was now a full blown vinyl junkie. I didn't realise how big of a collection I eventually had & so fast, so I was collecting so much & still am into collecting RARE/1 of a kind vinyl Figures to this day (if you wanna be a Dick about it because Tuesday I'll be 34 then call them TOYS) I have to say that I found the MY FAVORITE TATTOO ARTIST WHO I CAN TRUST, if you see his work you will be blown away. PON did the sickest tattoos on a bunch of big time artist & you know how picky we are lol so that was a MAJOR step on following his FB & whatnot ,BECAUSE I HAD A-LIST artist just going crazy on their tattoos they got s d couldn't believe the details & the clean LONG LINES which is HARD TO FIND IN A TATTOO ARTIST, SO MUCH ABOUT HIS SKILLS & THE SMOOTH FLOW HE HAS RIGHT OFF THE BAT. If you bring in pix or whatever to show him what u wanna get & wear you would like it placed, now he drew it & made the stencil then put it on but it don't look right to him but you think it's fine, he will tell you EXACTLY WHY HE MUST CHANGE YOUR ARTWORK AROUND A BIT, & THE IDEAS HE SUGGESTS ARE THINKS YOU DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE & EVERYONE has crazy ideas but he seriously sits & goes over & over the ENTIRE session your gonna have, you tell me if you know ANY chill tattoo artists who will tell their customers every single thing they want to know . I CANT WAIT FOR MY OTHER TATS FROM PON, because he loves what he does plus he wants you too be nothing but shocked and amazed with your tattoo, not like other shops that say "as long as customers leave with a smile that means we did our job" Because EVERYONE of the customers who left a shop with a smile or not from those on the whim shops are paying more to get PON to tattoo it the correct way.
