I hired a contractor for a full bathroom renovation and was looking for a jetted bathtub as part of…read morethe project. He recommended this vendor, and I was happy to go to an in-person showroom and support a local business. I worked primarily with the owner Mindy on trying to find the right tub for the space while keeping features that were important to me. We met in person, she made some good recommendations, and then we spoke a few times over the phone. Eventually I ordered the tub I thought was a good match over the phone with Mindy. However, when the tub was delivered to my home, I realized it did not have jets placed in the right areas based on what I was looking for & what we had discussed. The tub was not returnable, so I contacted Mindy for solutions. She was responsive, but unavailable for a while due to work travel - and her proposed solution was to spend double my original budget on another brand new tub (greatly discounted from its original price) with her again instead! When someone receives a product not matching what they need because you didn't listen, and you tell them you can't take it back, the solution isn't offering to have them spend twice as much on the next one! I gave her two stars because she did make efforts to help solve the issue, but her proposed solution was to give herself another commission that was way over my budget! How is that a good solution??? Instead I solved the issue myself - I sold the tub I couldn't use myself on FB marketplace and found myself a better, cheaper tub from Lowes that had the jets I needed and fit my space. I wanted to speak to a real person who would help me in person with finding what I needed, but unfortunately Hanover Bath is interested in taking your money while ignoring what it is you want. I truly wanted to support a local business and was willing to pay more to do so, but when I got screwed I had no choice but to take my business back to a big box store. I would never recommend this place based on my experience.

**Pictures to be updated next month Aug 2024 after our renovation fully wraps up**…read more For months, my sister and I were daunted by the thought of renovating our Cobble Hill, Brooklyn condo. One weekend, we visited various tile and fixture stores near our childhood hometown in NJ, scraping for motivation and inspiration. We walked into Alba Kitchen and Bath in East Hanover on a whim and were warmly greeted by Serenay. This one serendipitous meeting gave us the comfort and confidence to jumpstart our entire project! We are so grateful to Serenay and the whole team at Alba for our beautiful new kitchen!  Here are 3 reasons why working with Alba has been a wonderful experience and why I wholeheartedly recommend them.  1. Seasoned Kitchen Design Experts:  Serenay accounted for every inch of available space in our kitchen and produced multiple renderings (see pictures 3 and 4) showcasing different design configurations. For example, we have an awkward wooden beam which previously left a gap between the upper cabinets. She commissioned custom shallow cabinets, and turned both the top and bottom into usable cabinet space!! She also advised us on how we could maximize space inside our cabinets, such as getting rid of the lazy susan we originally had in our old corner cabinet. The renderings were super helpful in visualizing what the kitchen would look like. Our appliances also fit perfectly back in during reinstallation.  Serenay was also able to take the "inspiration" picture I sent her (see picture 5 - this is from Brittany Marom's 61 Rivington project) and turned it into reality. We chose thin shaker (Luna collection) Fabuwood upper cabinets in White Dove, lower cabinets in Kona, and Maharaja quartzite stone backsplash and counters. Maharaja quartzite is actually the stone we saw in the showroom kitchen countertop. We fell in love with the horizontal striations and after quite a bit of sleuthing, Serenay helped us track down its origin.   2. Clear Communication: Serenay was very direct and clear about what was included in scope (e.g., we would need to hire someone else to remove and reinstall appliances given their COI scope in NYC). She always answered our questions instead of dodging them using vague terms (we noticed a lot of contractors we spoke to, instead of getting into details, would just say things like "It will be great. It will look really nice" whereas Serenay would actually tell us *why* it would look great, *why* we might want to go with Fabuwood instead of other cabinet manufacturers, etc). Scheduling the measurements; cabinet delivery; cabinet installation; countertop installation; and followups were also a breeze. At our request, she also connected us with the stone yard so we could inspect a sample slab, and to meet the stone fabricator so we could preview where they were planning to make the cuts.   3. Fair and All-Inclusive Pricing: I googled Alba beforehand and was reassured by several blog posts/reviews that they get the best pricing on Fabuwood cabinets in NJ. From the start, Alba's quote also included the cost of materials and installation for both the cabinets and countertops, and it was very fair, especially for NYC. We were considering just refinishing our 2002-era cabinets to save money. Working with Alba allowed us to get brand new cabinets with all the bells and whistles, like soft-close and pull-out utensil cabinets.  Throughout this process, my sister and I felt so lucky that Alba is willing to do projects in NYC and not only NJ.  Since we are still mid-project with other renovations, I don't have the best pictures yet of the finished product. I will update this review with closeup pictures once we clear all the construction materials away. But in the meantime, do not hesitate to choose Alba and especially the wonderful Serenay. THANK YOU Alba Kitchen and Bath!!

Everything went smoothly and any questions I had, I would call Camille and she would take care of it. They also gave the best pricing on everything. They like to blame everything on COVID. I get that things are delayed but you can't blame lack of communication on COVID. I was not informed timely that my cabinets were going to be delayed. Order placed on 10/23 with delivery anticipated for the first week of December. Was advised on 11/25 by contractor that they will be delayed till January. I reached out to Rob, sales agent several times with no response. Cabinets finally arrived on January 5th. First error, they tried to charge me more for my counter top than originally quoted. Then when the balance owed was due, they told me one number and then retracted the figure indicating that they looked at the wrong number. Rob mis- measured my floor and cabinets which thankfully the contractor caught. Three cabinet doors came damaged, there is no QA before things are shipped. Still waiting on replacements. The only good thing that came out of this was the install contractor that they referred me too. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Rick & Chris from S & R Construction. My recommendation is to go with S & R Construction to do the install and buy your cabinets else where.

The first job was to take down and rebuild a very old worn out deck. The job completed on time and at the price quote. The craftsmenship was impressive. I then added the ronovation of a shed used for gardening supplies. Again the workmanship and finished product was outstanding. By this point I was completely confident in the quality of work done by IC Home Design. Next was taking up an old kitchen floor with several of flooring including old 4 x4 tile. IC Home Design quickly removed flooring and prepared the surface for new wall to wall tile which he also installed. I wanted the new kitchen cabinets to sit on the new tile. Ultimately he installed the new cabinets and finished off the kitchen install including new appliances, replacing a window with rotted wood and adding some additional electrical outlets. Next up IC Homes completely updated a secondary bathroom and then total renovated the master bathroom. Later IC Home found a floor refinisher to sand down the original hardwood floors and stain the floors which looked like new when he finished. All this activity took place while my eldery friend was still living in the home. Horia was very considerate of her living in the midst of all this mayhem and did little things to help her manage her way thorugh it all. I can't speak highly enough of the the quality of work done by Horia and his company I C Home Design. He is a true craftsemen who is a finished carpenter and knows how home construction should be done.
